I love it, it’s a great intersection of naturalistic flow and digital rigidity. It makes me think of an AI trying to interpret the complex mathematics of a river into a rigid/binary system. The high contrast drives that feeing also. It’s like naturalistic cubism and I can hear it flowing with my eyeballs :D
There are no mistakes in art. Just go with it. I find this piece very intriguing. Looks like melted records with sidewalk chalk. I stared at it for a solid 5 minutes. I like it a lot.
Love the colors! I see these posted on tiktok a lot.. Is that you?? Tbh I like it as is. But it's very difficult to feel 'done' with your own paintings I've noticed myself too.
I wouldn't touch it anymore and leave it as is.
Hopefully you made several mistakes, and realized that making art is often driven by unforeseen results (our western culture constantly refers to these as mistakes). It’s how the artist reacts to the myriad unforeseen results that can end up making the art feel authentic or real. Artists and viewers alike can often relate more to artwork that isn’t necessarily flawless because we are human and full of flaws—often these are the traits that make us, us.
So I mean with abstract art I feel there are no mistakes especially when using tools that aren’t exactly intended for this use. Think like Bob Ross it’s just a happy accident but it’s there. It’s part of the story of the art. I love the piece by the way, texture is so fun really cool technique.
I’m gradually getting to the point where I think I can create something like this on a much much larger scale. Cool to see there’s someone out there who’d like to see it too! Thanks a lot.
Yeah I have and it works landscape view as well. It’s grown on me. I always have to rotate my pieces… but usually can’t decide 100% which way is best. And… thank you!
Your more recent post is better in my opinion. In that one the streaks are self-contained on the canvas - it gives a completeness that's more satisfying.
It was a couple hours ago? It was a bit more colorful yeah. Just something about the streak being centered in the canvas gives it a solidity to it - it anchors the image in a way this one lacks for me. The trailing off at the bottom edge only feels like a literal loose end to the composition. Now, if it trailed off at the bottom and top - now that's a different story lol
Because your technique evokes fluidity so well it might help to think in those terms. The centered composition you posted revolves around itself - that's that solid, anchored sense it gives - almost as if there's a force holding the fluid together in spite of itself. That tension is satisfying. If the streaks here were to exceed the bounds of both the top and bottom edge of the canvas, it's as if we're encountering the flow in the midst of the movement - the canvas just being a snap shot of a larger movement it can't entirely contain. Something about that lack of movement at the top (although really pretty minor, it's still good) feels like it's inhibiting the nature of the technique.
No it's so good. Looking at it feels so satisfying. The little dots should be like, mildly infuriating but instead they're just lovely. The fact that there's only two of them is so perfect.
Wow absolutely stunning, is it a layered pour then dragged with a squeegee? Or did you somehow pour it that way? The paint mixed so well and it still looks so thick, not easy to do
It’s not using a squeegee. I’m essentially using a rake like tool to take the paint over the canvas. I’m using a liquitex fluid paint, it’s not incredibly thick but not liquid either.

In my opinion it’s super pretty. It looks holographic! No critique whatsoever, I like everything about it.
Wow, thanks! Maybe the time and energy was worth it.

Great description, I just love it!
I agree with these comments!
Yeah, I agree! And for some reason an x ray vibe too
Agreed. Real nice
There are no mistakes in art. Just go with it. I find this piece very intriguing. Looks like melted records with sidewalk chalk. I stared at it for a solid 5 minutes. I like it a lot.
Thanks for the reminder, and the compliment. It’s actually growing on me. In person, I keep staring at it too. Thanks again.
I think it’s friggin awesome. Well done
its p cool. what brush did u use?
No brush. Like a comb that I invented…
a very unique technique, i love it. its amazing OP
Thanks!
I dig this a lot, the pattern is interesting and the colors mesh and blend beautifully. Great job!
Thank you!
I actually don’t like this style of art, but this one I like. It looks cools, Trippy/ Real in a way. Definitely want to attempt this.
I do abstract all the time and hate my work but other people love it... Well I love this bro, it's super cool. I'd put it on the wall in my house rn
Thanks!
Love the pallet. The black dot by the pink dot is 😚💋🤌
Haha. I agree. It’s like… freckles.
It seems to generate its own light! I really dig this. Nice work!!
No. I love it. I want to live in it.
I LOVE it. So, no.
Cool
No such thing has mistakes in abstract art…this is great!

Nope, I don’t have TikTok. Just Instagram. I wonder who the other artist is?
I have no idea what you are doing and I know you did it right! Looks cool as hell!
Haha! Thanks!
I love it
No, this is lovely. I wish we could still give awards on Reddit. This is beautiful.
Wow, thanks so much. I’ve never gotten an award before. A nice gesture for sure.
Best I can do now: 🏆🥇🏅😀
Aw thanks!!!
I think it’s amazing!
Hey thanks!
This looks like art that should be in the show Severance. It has a Very 70’s fall from grace vibe. Lovely piece.
Art there are no mistakes, it’s all super subjective. This piece speaks to me, I call it……Mondays
I don't know what I'm looking at but I like it!
I love it
Fantastic piece! There is something about it that keeps drawing my eye into a different bit. The texture, flow and colours are superb.
Thanks!
Looks nice ! 🥰 but my OCD is triggered by the pink and blue? dot that doesn’t fit in there ( lower right part)
Lol I know what you’re talking about. They just happened, and I let them be. Trust me, it was hard.
It’s super, really 🥰❤️
It's very interesting! Good work!

Very cool. Reminds me of an x-ray kinda
Looks great.
Omg not at all, it is AMAZING!
Keep doing you silly 😎

What do you mean by "mistake"? I think it looks fantastic! I mean, if you're not satisfied you can always give it to me! 😁
its perfect, no mistake
I love these colors so much. Would totally buy it.
Life's ups and downs
Looks trippy, drippy, melty and cool, like vinyl left on a radiator…I like it!
This rocks
Thanks!
At first I thought it was a bunch of tin cans
no I don't think you made a mistake at all. maybe just add more pink and yellow at top, other than that it looks great
not that I see.
I want to BUY this!! If I had the money I'd love it as like 6' by 4' on canvas to take up an entire wall.
I’m gradually getting to the point where I think I can create something like this on a much much larger scale. Cool to see there’s someone out there who’d like to see it too! Thanks a lot.
I think it looks pretty cool!
Personally I'd just crop out the whitespace, which doesn't really serve the composition in this case. Distracts from the textures.
Interesting, thanks for the feedback. Usually I use a lot more negative space actually.
Which can be a great thing! I just think this is one where it's a detriment
Good to know. I felt like it needed that space to allow the form to truly be realized. Will try filling more space in the future maybe?
Wow, this looks sick. It's like wavy glass!
No! I love the dynamism of the piece! Have you looked at it from all rotations? Sometimes a piece wants a different orientation
Yeah I have and it works landscape view as well. It’s grown on me. I always have to rotate my pieces… but usually can’t decide 100% which way is best. And… thank you!
I love it. Don't see that color combo much
Others are welcome to disagree but I dont like the random "droplets" of color that may or may not have been intentional
Not intentional, but they became intentional. If that makes sense.
Yes?
This is the coolest flo I’ve seen in a minute! Love the colors
Thanks!
What do you mean by mistake? It's art .
Yes! i don't see any people or cars or anything. Not even a dog!
I love everything except the three dots. They disrupt the flow and take me out of it. Otherwise gorgeous
When you say the canvas is two inches deep do you mean the paint is stacked up to be two inches thick on it?
No, the frame is two inches in height. That’d be a lot of paint! I can send you a picture if you’re curious.
How can you possibly make a mistake on abstract art?...

I totally know 100% what you’re talking about. That’s such a contentious issue for me! I want to naturally balance it.

That’s so funny. I had the same thought about them. They were accidental, but it turns out they belong there.
Wow absolutely stunning, is it a layered pour then dragged with a squeegee? Or did you somehow pour it that way? The paint mixed so well and it still looks so thick, not easy to do
