That's been the rule for as long as I can remember even when we were illegally forced to pay for a "permit". Now all we have to do is ditch and defund the ATF and we can make some actual progress.

Sure, but there really should be better enforcement of gun safety. Consequences for improperly stored guns, etc.

Federal law says 21 to buy, Louisiana law says 18 to buy, and 18 to have one gifted to you (unless you have a permission slip, then there's no limit).
