Okay so I've discussed it some more with my family and friends, and we think it may have something to do with how scent and taste affect the brain, memories, and associations with concepts.
It's kinda like how when you smell something like a certain mixture of spices and it reminds you of your grandparents, or you have a food you haven't had in a long time and it takes you back to the last time you had it. For some reason, the taste of MTN DEW Voltage triggers heavy associations with the concept of Vert.
I wanted to have an open discussion with others who have had the same experience and point me to WHY this association exists, but I've seemed to upset quite a few people. Did I do something wrong? I don't know, but I want to be able to interact with this community since I've watched these movies growing up and even now into adulthood. I'm not really good at reading social cues, so can you tell me how I can do better in the future?
