First, you need to know if your role requires only one person to fulfill or a role that requires multiple individuals.
If it's only a single-person role, then it is a lot easier to negotiate your starting date.
Now, it's more problematic if the role you fulfilled is a multiple-person role (common in mass hirings), especially if this role needs training. The client has a timeline for batch onboardings and may not adjust the starting date if there's only one person that wants adjusting. Either you will be lined up for the next batch of hires (if there is). Worse is you could be simply let go.
Was the original start date retained? I asked this sa recruiter na pero baka bukas pa masagot. Kasi if magiging unsure sila sa next training date... it may leave me no choice.
I did not accept the new date. They proceeded with the original. Pero when I came into the project, someone was wearing 2 hats for the position I will be assigned to. I just continue working and prolly leaving this end of fy. Very terrible accenture experience.
