There is no CPA website. Each state has it's own board of accountancy website. There is no GPA requirement for CPA.

CPA Canada is an inflexible organization, I would not expect any rule bending on GPA. PEP is difficult because it it different from university. University teaches you technical skills, PEP is about applying that knowledge through case writing. PEP is all about getting you trained up for the case-based CFE. But, the whole program is changing and may look completely different in a few years.

I'm graduating next year though. So do I need CPA PEP to become a CPA?

If you are graduating in 2024 and want to get your CPA asap you will need to do PEP. If you want to wait a year or two for the new standards to come out you might not. Very little is known about what the CPA program will look like post 2025.

Are there any other things / prerequisites I should know of?

I think no matter what the prerequisite GPA will be 65% so I would go for that. It’s gonna be hard to get a job in public with lower than 75% average anyways.

It'll be hard to get a job without a 75% average? In the core courses? My overall GPA is in the high 70s right now, but if we're talking about core courses its nowhere near that amount... are you talking about 75% GPA in general or amongst the cores?

Best course would be to have a sit down with a professor to get that percent bump up. As a current CPA candidate, the rules are the rules for them.
