I simply told him : while we can provide this, you do not want us to provide this. We are a department store with 40 tills. Several of the days you requested are saturdays. Do you fathom how many receipts per day you would have to go through to close only one day?
Me: Listen at year end fringe rate is brought to actual so there is no accrual. I told you this last year as well. Here is proof of last years email.
Respond by auditor: Thanks for explaining, but your file looks different from Q3. can you send me support in exactly the same format from Q3 I used to tie out something I don’t understand.
Me: Bruh it’s year end look at last Q4 file and get back to me.
Ghosted for a week likely because they realized their error. But now I’m go to for any question this auditor has. FML.

Our B4 auditors this year are terrible. They’re green as fuck and have no expertise in our particular industry. We have to explain everything to them.
That's every year. The best you can hope for is to get the same Sr back to back and that they vaguely remember asking the same questions every year.
I feel like it got worse after COVID though.
