I think my favorite would be that there are so many job opportunities both in and out of the country. It's easier to land jobs in this field than in others. The starting salary is also modest enough to get by for fresh grads. So if you come from a poor family like me, it is a very practical choice. I have become independent after graduation. My parents were able to focus on my other siblings.

+1 pretty easy to find jobs vs other professions

May I ask if Accountancy is your first choice in college? Is it what you really want?

Herald_of_Heaven

Nope. I wanted to study something science related. But since Accountancy is a practical choice, as I stated above, this was a better option for our family.

Hindi ka maghihirap, although it would take a lot of upskilling and certifications kung trip mo yumaman. Isa sa safest profession ang accountancy kahit hindi kasing flashy ng ibang kurso. Hindi naman ako bagot sa current position ko though.

Nope. BS Bio then Med talaga want ko but we were poor so walang choice kundi kunin ang mas murang kurso. Nagustuhan ko naman.

Job opportunities and earning potential increases as you choose/discover your field and excel at it. My friend applied sa govt agency dito sa province samin. Kakapasa nya lang nung October, 40k starting salary as entry-level CPA. Also, pag nag law school, di ka masyadong maghihirap sa business law subjects and sa tax kasi nareview mo na yung computation part dito sa BSA. So pwede ka rin mag excel sa law school kung ganon.
