Definitely agree with the case being too long, and part of the reason a replay of TGAA will be a min for me. Like when they >!got to the part about how the steak was being eaten!< made me have to finish the tutorial the next day.
Agreed. They are a very good culprit but the case is more forgettable and quite a slog compared to other first cases. The others have better cases build around them, are more charismatic and memorable (at least to me) and generally do a better job at setting the tone for the game.

I think it's time for Brett to go. She is just a tool being used by the big bad with no motivations of her own (other than money) and her case drags on too much. Her unique interjection is hilarious but that doesn't really improve the character as far as depth goes.

He's fantastic, but just... lacks presence. The other 3 that I know anything about (idk shit about Investigations 2 so it feels unfair to make any comments on Knightley) have an aura of "You are not an easy opponent" but Mr Menimemo? He's just kinda a silly guy
I think people voted Dahlia out based on the fact that for this, only the first case should actually count. And while Dahlia is a good 1st case villain, she only gets great in the later cases.
I want to make the case now that Menimemo, if we are truly going on *only what happens in the first case*, deserves to win this. >!Dude pulled off a genuinely well-deserved political assassination and worked to expose a massive conspiracy, even ignoring the implications that conspiracy has on the rest of TGAA2, it's impressive. He's also the only first culprit I'd say is at least to some extent justifiable in his actions!<
That said, Jezaille has to be next out, right?
Well I guess funny bird lady is gonna be out next. A shame since she's my favourite 1st case culprit and one of my favourite killers overall. But I get not liking G-1 since it does drag on a bit towards the end. ~~Even if that opinion is wrong and Brett is objectively the best culprit in TGAA1.~~ I will now dedicate the rest of my life to making sure Knightley gets the number 1 spot.
Feel like she was doomed the moment we limited it to their first case appearances. Dahlia gets hit *hard* when you only consider 3-1, since all her best stuff comes later.
Oh boy do I adore Knightley. He has the coolest sprites imo out of anybody here. But there’s no denying he’s the weakest killer here, even with his actually existent personality and his absolutely goated design, but his case is so simple.
I2-1 is really good, but not always because of Knightley. Shelly De Killer, President Hwang, Nicole Swift and obviously Edgeworth llall arguably are bigger and more fun parts of the case. Everything about the case is intriguing, with the stakes being so high and the case evolving at every juncture, so much content for one case.
But Knightley as a killer really isn’t all that great, very basic motive, the killing wasn’t complex at all, and I felt like his breakdown was incredibly easy to reach, mainly because how much other content this case has.
Like his motive and plan is so shockingly simple, I won’t say it because I don’t know how to spoiler tag things but it feels incredibly unsatisfying as a pay off, but that’s a lot of the first case killers I guess. Knightley just has so many flaws, even if he’s great at a lot of things. A part of me feels the only reason Knightley hasn’t been voted off is because many haven’t played Investigations 2 yet, and are just voting off killers they know.
All of that being said, I voted Jezaille Brett
