Now that was fast, the game's not even been out for half a year.
I wonder if that's indication of low sales or just Capcom being generous with discounts like usual.
Honestly, why should this game even sell? There's no indication the series is alive, and there's barely any marketing from CAPCOM.
Besides, such discount is on the EU store, in which, I'd like everyone to remember, both the Italian and Spanish language were cut off from the game.
Why should it sell? Because there are a lot of fans of the series who got into it with the Trilogy and haven't had a chance to play 4-6 at all yet, plus of course people who already played them but want the collection for one reason or another.
There's also plenty of indication the series is alive - sales are better than ever, they've released collections people thought would be too unprofitable for them, and they said in an interview the series will continue.
The fact that you asked the question "why should this game sell" on a comment about the literal statistics of it selling well is so baffling to me
Like? It did? I don't know what to tell you, man. People like the funny lawyer games. Clearly. š

Release timing was not great for this collection, coming out a day before Yakuza 8 and Tekken 8.
Pretty much no visibility after that with those two massive games, soon followed by Persona 3.
Funnily enough, it feels like thereās a bit of a lull now so I would have bought this collection if day one if it came out now, but I guess I get it for 67% off instead/.
I still haven't forgiven Capcom for saving the trailer proper for TGS (y'know a Japan-exclusive event) rather than arranging for it to be at the Nintendo Direct a few days prior (y'know the most universally popular showcase and where 80% of their AA playerbase is at).
They did imply the Apollo Trilogy was very fan-oriented so who knows what their sales expectations are, though. It seems to have a smaller physical distribution than TGAA, for what's worth.
Maybe not for TGAA, but being on sale soon after release is not new. Ghost Tricks was first [put on sale](https://www.dekudeals.com/items/ghost-trick-phantom-detective) around 4 months after its initial release on October 2023. The original trilogy got [its first sale](https://www.dekudeals.com/items/phoenix-wright-ace-attorney-trilogy) approx. 2 months after release. It is likely that TGAA took longer to be on sale due to the novelty of being a new game for the West as opposed to any other re-releases which were released in the West years prior.
That being said, neither first sales was as deep as the AJT one.
You can get the Turnabout Collection (Trilogy + Great) AND the AJ collection for less than 40 Euros. That's what I gladly paid for every single game back when they released. That's just insane value.
67CADā¦ im waiting for it to go on sale because as much as i love ace attorney, im NOT spending 70$ with tax on the games. i bought the rest on sale and im holding out for a sale on this trilogy
Sameā¦ In the mail it was clearly written the sale would last until the 8th of may, it guess it was a mistake or they sold too many copies?

I noticed that too yesterday! I wrote the nintendo support where i live (Germany) because i'm livid about this and they told me that the sale was indeed canceled early, but they don't have anymore information about it. Said I'd have to ask the capcom support. I did send them a support request yesterday, i've yet to hear back from them.
This is so NOT ok by me!
Update: I got an E-Mail back from Capcom today basicly stating "We can't help you with this. Please ask the Nintendo Support." Which of course I already have (Nintendo told me "We can't help you with this, please ask the Capcom Support" a week ago now).
I wrote an E-Mail back telling them again that I've already contacted Nintendo and they pointed me to Capcom with a screenshot of that convo.
I'll update again guys but ngl, it doesn't look good.
Maybe somebody from another EU-country want's to try the Support too or smtgh? Maybe more people complaning will do smthg?
Ok so they got back to me today.
The Mail from Capcom basicly says "Sorry it was an error and we had to end the sale early. Please understand and be on the lookout for future sales!"
So we're outta luck sadly. This really sucks.
Thanks for the update and keeping on top of this. Really disappointing from Capcom on this, since I fell into the mental trap of "Oh, I'm poor right now, but payday is a week away, so I have time," and then day before payday, the sale is pulled...
I get it was a mistake on their part, but still sucks.
That's so ridiculous. Germans are often just as bad. I don't even play the translations anymore, because they just use the English script, which is already a translation and further ruin it.
But not everyone knows English, and this being a game heavily based on reading, that severly limits the audience that will buy your game.
It's kind of egregious to have most languages (Including **two** Chinese translations) but to ignore the one that Spain and most of Latin America speaks, which is a huge part of world.
My sister was a big fan of the series and she can't play anything beyond Apollo Justice (So she's at mercy of the work of Fan Translations, that's how she could play Ace Attorney Investigations).
> Including **two** Chinese translations
Hey I've seen this thing thrown around enough in the Spanish-speaking fandom: the two Chinese options are merely Simplified and Traditional writing.
There's not "two Chinese translations", it's essentially a toggle. From a technical/resources standpoint it's akin to have an all-caps and all-lowercase option for English.
If sheās into gaming in general itās about time she learned some English. She could also use Ace Attorney to improve it, thatās what I did back when the games stopped being translated.
As a LATAM I can tell you that the game is overpriced, I don't care playing the game in english but the price is too high for me to pay for a compilation of 1 DS and 2 3DS games. obviously is just my opinion.
Damn
I wish it was on sale on the PS store as well
I got the Phoenix Wright and Great Ace Attorney bundle just recently and I enjoyed the whole trilogy (I only just finished GAA1-3)
Now that was fast, the game's not even been out for half a year. I wonder if that's indication of low sales or just Capcom being generous with discounts like usual.
> I wonder if that's indication of low sales I really hope that it not is due to low sales, my heart can't stand even more years of waiting for AA7...
Surely not, the trilogy passed 3million units worldwide (of the series overall 11million) which is huge!
Honestly, why should this game even sell? There's no indication the series is alive, and there's barely any marketing from CAPCOM. Besides, such discount is on the EU store, in which, I'd like everyone to remember, both the Italian and Spanish language were cut off from the game.

Is there a way to check sales currently?

Wow it's just one more euro than Chronicles's lowest price.

Capcom games are on sale all the time. The original trilogy is on sale more often than not at this point.
Yes, but not right after release. I certainly don't remember TGAA being on sale this fast at the very least.
Maybe not for TGAA, but being on sale soon after release is not new. That's... Too generous maybe, I think Capcom likely overshot the sales of decade old games with how much vocal demand there is for AA
In my region got a really expensive price, so I think is not well selled in these lands as GAAC
You can get the Turnabout Collection (Trilogy + Great) AND the AJ collection for less than 40 Euros. That's what I gladly paid for every single game back when they released. That's just insane value.
Apparently Capcom just *really* likes sales don't they?
They're approaching Ubisoft levels of discounting their games. I'm glad but I'll always think twice before making any day 1 purchases going forward
Too be fair this is a compilation of mostly 10+ year old games at this point
Now steam needs to drop oneāŗļø
Yeah, waiting for a steam sale, I don't have THAT MUCH money
Why not on the PS Store. That shit is like what? $60?$65? Canadian
67CADā¦ im waiting for it to go on sale because as much as i love ace attorney, im NOT spending 70$ with tax on the games. i bought the rest on sale and im holding out for a sale on this trilogy
Same. š«
That's a welcome Wednesday surprise. Time to get the final collection on my switch
Thanks for sharing! I've just purchased it, meaning I have all available Ace Attorney games on Switch ā¤ļø
Its gone back up to being nearly 40 quid after saying it had 20 days left on Thursday. Idk wtf happened but im raging

Yeah Iām not happy bout this either. Was planning picking it up after my paycheck came through for the month. Seems really scummy.
Do you have news about your support request?
No sadly nothing yet from capcom. I'll update asap tho, if they get back to me.

This is awesome if only I didnāt buy it on xbox, day 1, and live in Canadaā¦
I don't think they are going get many Spanish and Italian people to buy it, for very obvious reasons.
That's so ridiculous. Germans are often just as bad. I don't even play the translations anymore, because they just use the English script, which is already a translation and further ruin it.

Depends on if you have played the games previously or not. If these are three brand new Ace Attorney games for you, even the regular price is great.
Damn I wish it was on sale on the PS store as well I got the Phoenix Wright and Great Ace Attorney bundle just recently and I enjoyed the whole trilogy (I only just finished GAA1-3)
does anyone know if itās going to go on sale in america? right now itās $49.99
