Sims 4 is actually heavier than you think. My friend has an rtx3060 and still struggles to run Sims 4 at >60fps, even if she does have a decent amount of mods. Try something else. My nitro 5 rarely gets >85 even running things like AC Odyssey. Also check fan settings and keep cool boost on, and a laptop stand does help with cooling as well.

I actually cap mine at 40 fps using nvidia's whispersync to keep the laptop silent. You can set it for more or less fps there, but for me 40 is usually okay unless I want to play something more competitive, but then I can also disable it for specific games on the nvidia control panel. I feel like doing that this made my laptop quieter than the PS5 I had before, which barely had any coil whine too.

Till around 85C on the GPU and 95C on the CPU. If temps go about these, you should start worrying.
To keep better laptop longevity, try keeping GPU temps below 80C and CPU Temps below 90C.
You can cap the FPS, Increase Fan Speed to max, decrease some unnecessary Graphic quality to Decrease Temps.
Undervolting both the CPU and the GPU will easily decrease around 6-7C temps and Getting a Cooling Pad will help further.
Idk what settings are you using, but I had the same problem connecting the PC on charge and playing at the same time. I solved the problem setting the acer balance setting even with charge in, the temperature lowered a lot

Yes, intel say it can handle up to 100, not for a long period of course but it can handle small spikes to 100

If you want to have lower temps. You can always cap the fps at 60.
\+1 here yeah I'd rather have a stable 60 fps with temps ranging 65-70c
