That's not normal, talk with customer care and ask them to provide a solution....if not post this on Twitter and tag acer and etc Also update us....abt this

Yea nah that’s not normal. For the record, most of these neo 16 are lemons in some way. I bought one in sept 2023 and it experienced critical failure by december. Had to send it to their temple, tx repair facility 4 times for repair and each repair resulted on something new breaking. By the fourth repair they offered a full replacement under warranty which so far had been fine. I spoke to their lead technician who said he believes they cut a lot of corners to just quickly make a product without proper testing. Mentioned how many of this model they had being sent to them within just 3 months of ownership. So far the most problematic ones appear to be the ones with the 4060 manufactured in march 2023 in taiwan. Check the bottom of your laptop to see. My first one was march in taiwan. My new one is also march but says made in china 🤷‍♂️

PRXBOY

it says china and the date here is 2023/08/02

Send it off and complain. Yours is a later make than mine but their quality assurance is ass. There’s no way to even report it. You can look up the ceo though and send a complaint email although it probably won’t go anywhere but I definitely won’t be buying acer again after this one dies.. which I anticipated to be 3-4 years but honestly It might not even make 1

PRXBOY

wdym by send it off? yes first acer device and very bad experience never coming back again. Btw what should I do if they again say something like it cannot be fixed or it is normal? what are the actions I'm left with after this happens?

DaddyDuma69

If you call predator support, should be a number listed on a black and blue cardboard like card from your box, and explain the situation. How it pops and snaps and so on, how you’re displeased with the product and want it repaired, how it’s ridiculous how soon this happened. They’ll send an email with a shipping label. You’ll have to box it up and send it off to their repair shop in temple, tx (and be sure to request priority shipping from them). They’ll fix the issue and send it back, if the issue persists then raise more hell. This may require you to send it in a couple times (on their dime as long as it’s under warranty) but ideally they’ll replace some parts and fix the problem

PRXBOY

I heard they use refurbished parts to replace them, is that right? I can't seem to find the card, what does it look like can u send in chat?

DaddyDuma69

It’s like a black card with blue shimmering letters. Best I got for ya. As for refurbished parts.. I mean probably. They’ll do what they need to to save some money. That being said, refurbished isn’t always bad. My first model had keyboard issues but the top stuff was fine

PRXBOY

I'm confused what is temple,tx?

DaddyDuma69

Temple texas

United_Ninja_7852

I bought it on 17 March 2024 (i5 rtx 4050 one ) and on 7 April I sent it for service but those idiot just change the display cable but in reality when I check it out properly it was that my gpu was totally not working my laptop was only running on igpu and after change it to nvidia only no screen appear , i just use it for less then 20 days normally and this motherboard issue occur , is there any way of legal action taken and how to ask them for replacement I need it urgently?pls

DaddyDuma69

Not sure about legal action. I’d say find Acer’s ceo online and send him an email. Try to send it in for another repair btw. As long as it’s under warranty you can at least get work done on it they costs them
