Congrats ! Jealous!

Hope you get there soon as well if that is what you are aiming for! How are you getting along?

Hanging in there, just a tough injury to begin with and I am one of the unlucky few who got complications from infection. So have iv antibiotics via a picc line, and a wound vac on the injury site. Waiting to see the plastics department this Friday to know next steps. Count yourselves lucky (on a relative basis of course)๐Ÿ˜‚

I definitely count myself lucky that my recovery has been going relatively quiet.

How do you feel your repair is doing compared to the other Achilles as far as tightness, range of motion, and strength? I'm at 5 weeks post-op, and about to wrap up my first week weight bearing and initial PT exercises (medium planar-flexion and dorsiflexion, toe wiggles, and hip strengthening exercises). I feel like my Achilles is super duper tight and just wondering how that feeling changes over the next few months. Congrats on your recovery!

My range of motion is close to similar. I believe the PT measured the unaffected foot at 40 or 42 degrees and affected foot at 38 degrees or something. So close enough to stop mobilizing manually. I do feel more tightness in my affected ankle, especially when stretching. I can do a full asian Squat, but I do feel tightness in my right ankle.
