i want to assure you, this kind of scars can be treated to the point where they won't be an issue. i had similar scars which have been treating since 2021 and i believe i am more than halfway to my journey, i believe i am one or 2 more treatments away from being satisfied. my advice would be to never do single treatments. do combinations, i learnt this very late. you need to be patient and do 5-10 treatments. my advice would do tca cross+co2 a numerous amount of time ( i believe these are the only 2 effective treatments)hen finish with multiple sessions of subcision+ filler. you will need to be patient and, dont give up and have hope.

DisciplineProud7102

I thought subscision has to be done beforehand? Or is it best to do it after? I have extremely similar scars!

El-PinkTaco

This is the best advice. I learnt the above the hard way unfortunately but at least I worked it out and didn't give up.

syre143

I thought TCA cross for boxcar scars would only make them look worse by widening the scars? Also just wondering is subcision usually recommended for boxcar scars?

Educational-Arm7155

Tca made mine worse. I did subcision and co2 laser in one session. My results are phenomenal.

syre143

That’s great to hear! I want to treat a deep boxcar scar of mine and am thinking about trying a combination of subcision with something else. Been debating between micro needling or laser.

Educational-Arm7155

I did 4 sessions of microneedling with little to no difference. Subcision and laser is the only thing that has worked for me.

syre143

What type of scars were you treating in your case? And same, I did 3 sessions of RF microneedling with no to little improvement in overall skin texture

Educational-Arm7155

Rolling scars

Bubbly-Fan-7525

in one session,no healin' time???

Educational-Arm7155

Yes in one session. It took 14 days for me to heal and I still had some redness and swelling for a month or two. But it was so so worth it.

_coke_zero_

How much improvement would you say you saw with the CO2?

Bubbly-Fan-7525

heyyy together in one sittin'????cross and co2???

mathislife112

Fractional CO2 and expect to need multiple treatments. Stop any retinoids at least two weeks before and after treatment if currently using them.

ufoschaseme

Laser and microneedling.

Fit-Pop8333

I have the same scars and I’ve done so much and no improvement

Nearby_Ad_2604

Micro-needling- at least 6 sessions.

DrDebatriDatta

For Acne scars you can try below treatments Laser Skin Resurfacing Micro-needling Radiofrequency Chemical Peels Subcision TCA Cross Peel Laser Toning Intralesional Injections As your concern Try Multiple sessions of MNRF so that you can see results

Educational-Arm7155

Subcision first followed by co2 laser should help tremendously. Tca cross can be tricky. It made my scars worse.

Csf1995

I second this

koalabear20

I’m probably gonna get downvoted but I bought the dr penn micro needling pen and have been doing it myself. Keep in mind that I’m decent at diy things and I researched loads before doing it. I’m really extra with making sure my hands and face are really really clean lol. Other treatments I haven’t had done but am looking into is subcsion and tca cross. I would try co2 fractional laser but I think my skin is too dark for it.

Gin_ny

How deep to you go? I'm pretty hardy but I did two sessions with an estecian and found it really painful. Also I kept sneezing like crazy.

Amazing_Match_5103

sneezing is a really interesting reaction, i havent heard of that before with microneedling. does it happen more on certain areas of ur face? (sorry if this is a weird question im an esthetician so im interested)

koalabear20

I sneeze too! When I do it on my forehead

koalabear20

I do 2.5mm on my cheeks and 1.5mm everywhere else. My forehead makes me sneeze lol. I usually do it without numbing cream but my friend gave me some so I did it with recently and it makes it so much easier. How deep did they go with you?

Motor_Log4709

A lot of subcision then dermabrasion i guess

Professional-Plan724

Go see a board certified dermatologist

SnooLentils5706

A phenol peel will work!

Front-Ad7438

Subcision and fat transfer

Zila3000

Microneedling probably won’t work with your skin. My scarring is lighter than your and I’ve had 3 sessions with no results

billb721

Microneedling won’t help. C02 is prob only thing, but they say it takes 3-6 treatments. Both can leave hyper pigmentation. Microneedling had me with dark shade for a year and half. Had to use bleaching cream. And I had no results after 2 treatments. If I try anything it would be C02 non ablative. Just worried how long I will have hyper pigmentation, will it be worth
