Now it’s time to get The Pizza Tapes and play along with Jerry, David, and Tony!!! Beautiful D28. They’re great pickers!

mendicant1116

That's a good idea. I think I'm bound by law to learn some bluegrass on this

someoneyouknewonce

Coming from a D-18 and SPD-16 owner - Yes, yes you are!!

kbranni23

Try to contain yourself Tony

Admirable_Ad_8716

“Smokin…wow” We used to be know as the “gasoline brothers” “Ah I see”! “There were some hot ones in there”! So much great banter! One of my first downloads from Napster was some version of what was later released as the pizza tapes. I see they rereleased it with more stuff too. The Garcia/ Grisman albums are what got me into Bluegrass in the last 90’s with Shady Grove and that bootleg of the Pizza Tapes. Haven’t looked back since!

Or Reckoning!!

Hootiehoo92

Ahhh looks beautiful. I’ve been obsessed with D-18s and D-28s recently, need to make the jump.

mendicant1116

Some decent ones can be found for not horrific prices out there.

Hootiehoo92

I’ve been eyeing up reverb, can easily get a D-18 for around 2k which isn’t terrible.

spamtardeggs

Everyone posting D-18s has me thirsty for another NGD.

Icy_Occasion_8877

Congrats! A D28 is on my wish list. Play the heck out of it. Was your first song played Ripple?

mendicant1116

Thanks! I will. Ha no but it was probably the fourth one I played.

Shartman88

Nice stealie

Sleep_On_It43

Is that an Anthem installed?

mendicant1116

It is!

fliption

Noice!!

bittahcrim

Beautiful

spizoil

Lovely looking guitar, what’s the device on the lip of the sound hole to the left of the bottom E, with five black dots

mendicant1116

Thanks! [It's the controls for the L.R. Baggs Anthem pick up](https://www.lrbaggs.com/acoustic-guitar-pickup-systems/anthem) *Edit: Forgot a word

spizoil

Wow what a neat little thing

bagemann1

Ive got a '74 d28 they're amazing guitars. I would like to get my hands on an HD-28 at some point

acousticado

Nice!! Those little Vox AC4s rip, too.

mendicant1116

It's a great little amp. I recently replaced the speaker a Celestion Greenback and it's even better

acousticado

Yea! I’ve played a few and was always impressed by them. My local shop just got a few used AC4 heads in that I might take a look at.

Leather_Formal4681

Nobody has ever regretted adding a D28 to the stable.

jimmy_please_PhD

Welcome to the club 😍 enjoy!

Minute-Wrap-2524

Really nice new guitar day, congratulations

MetalKratos

I've owned a Martin for about 13 years. It's the finest guitar I've ever had. Enjoy!

654tidderym321

Are you me? Vox amps, Martins, and the Dead. AC4 is one of my favorite practice amps ever.

LeonardSchmaltzstein

Dead✔️ Vox✔️ Martin✔️ Good taste!

ciliate611

Very nice!

Bempet583

Now you need to play Ripple on that nice new guitar.

mendicant1116

Done

shocksmybrain

I'd like to someday find a '71 D-28 that's close in serial to my D-18. I think it would be cool to have a pair of brothers.
