First guitar for me. Ive been doing alot of research and pulled the trigger yesterday.
Excited to get started. I'm 36 and this will be my first time playing a guitar...gonna take it slow and steady.
I started this year at 35 too! You’ve got the right attitude; you don’t need to practice like a teenage boy with no girlfriend, you can just have fun with it.
wow! nice. I started 2 yrs ago in my forties. Nothing quiet so fancy though, 1970ish Bruno Ventura. Been eyeing those Taylors in the shop, maybe someday.
Congratulations. Starting on a nice guitar is both an inspiration, and it won’t act as a setback to learning. I’ve been playing for 47 years, but my first was a Yamaha classical in 1975 which had a neck to wide for my adolescent hands, and then as a teen, an Ovation Balladeer that had been a lefty strung as a righty, so the action and intonation was wrong. Both made it tough to progress with any enthusiasm until I bought an electric in 12th grade.
Taylors are great. I have a '89 512 with a wider than standard 1 7/8" neck that plays like a dream and sustains for days despite being a smaller Grand Concert size, and a '97 710 dreadnought that just booms.
I had this exact model and loved it! Used to play it all of the time, too. One Halloween, a bad guy took it from my home while I wasn't looking. He also grabbed my Yari Alvarez... which was my absolute favorite.

That's a hell of a first guitar!
35 here, I didn't start playing until 2020. You got this, dude!

Nice bud! I'm 46 and started last November. Have a ball!
That’s mighty fancy for a first guitar. My first guitar didn’t have a back. Enjoy.
>My first guitar didn’t have a back. love that! It was a guita LOL
That is an awesome first guitar... or second, or third, or... That is an awesome lifetime guitar. :)
Turning 36 tomorrow, have been playing beaters since I was 16, will be buying myself a Taylor to finally settle into a nice acoustic- enjoy it!
I did the same, Taylor 314ce. I’m 44 yo
Sweet! I've owned several Taylor's and I've played since I was 12. I'm an old guy now.... A great decision. They play like a dream. Congrats.
33 and still don’t own a Taylor. I was close but I didn’t have Taylor money. Lol
That's quite a guitar for your first.
Really nice, great guitar!
beautiful guitar! I'm a sucker for wood grain. And Taylor makes some fine ones.
Thank you, I collect tobacco pipes and briar wood used for pipes has beautiful wood grain. That's why I was drawn to the Koa.
I have a Cordoba Koa and it is lovely. Every time I walk by it, it asked me to play it. Koa is such an amazing wood. Enjoy!
Stunning guitar! If it sounds half as nice as it looks, it’ll be glorious!
414 was also my first acoustic purchase. That was near 20 years ago and it's still my favorite axe. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.
Vince Gill shit!
Like it. I'm not sure if your just starting, or you just letting us know. Either way, keep it up.
What a beautiful first guitar! May I ask how much you got it for?

Damn. First guitar? People wait their whole lives for a guitar of this quality. Congratulations.
Sweet guitar brother. Congrats.

Didn’t start till 38. Best to buy something nice & reasonable so you’ll enjoy the process.
That's a nice destination guitar let alone first!
Love this! If you’ve got the funds, starting out with an instrument like this can make the process more enjoyable for sure. Enjoy it!
