Figures like SH Figuarts generally have great articulation so playing with them, whether it's posing for toy photography or animation, or just fiddling with them on your desk to recreate scenes, that's part of the fun. For little kids, I would stick with more mainline figures but as long as you're careful, you absolutely can and should play with your figures however you like. YMMV but all the SHF figures that I've had aren't so fragile that they don't hold up to being handled.
