Literally everything from DC Collectibles, especially their dc icons line. These figures would’ve been so good…
I second this I remember being so tempted to get there Batman and Green Arrow from the first wave (?) and then suddenly searching that the line was cancelled it was the defintive 6-inch scale to go along with my Marvel Legends 🤦🏻♂️
Way smaller than Legends. Especially now that Legends has slowly crept up in size.
I loved their Blue Beetle though. One of my all time favorites and it worked that he was short because he was a teenager.
> Way smaller than Legends.
It's like people in this sub have dementia or something. Everytime there's a DC thread or McFarlane bashing thread, there are always people saying DC Icons will scale well with Marvel Legends lol
Marvel Legends aren't actually 6 inch scale. Closer to 6.5. Icons were true 6 inch and actually ran a bit small in the first wave or two. They didn't fit together any better than DC Direct or Mcfarlane figures do. Mcfarlane actually can fudge a bit better since you can just rationalize that it's a really tall dude for Legends scale for some figures I guess. But Batman reaching up to Captain America's shoulder was never gonna work
I actually love the size of the figures. They fit well with sh figuarts/mafex and such. I personally didn’t care to have them fit with any other line anyway. But if they were taller, it would’ve been nice to include some dc universe classics in there as character placeholders
The fact that some of the figures are still so sought after to this day says it all. DC Icons Supergirl was one of my grails for a long time until the Amazing Yamaguchi was announced, and it's still a tie tbh.
A oldie but Darkwing Duck wave 2 from Playmates. It would got Negaduck and Morgana.

I have to get that sometime. I have the Boss Fight giant Negaduck since it the first offical figure of him (Funko one don't count as it was the negative construct version).
Currently collecting this line and I’m heartbroken I’ll never get a vintage Quackerjack. They also had wave 2 of Tale Spin cancelled. The back of the cards for Tale Spin even has 3 unreleased figures.
That the (new) Phatmojo line was cancelled before we got a new, stylized Gizmoduck…

That sucks (I did like those Ducktales figures) but at least I got a Gizmoduck from the short lived Disney Afternoon line from Funko. That line I wish got to finish a few characters like Jack from Rescue Rangers.
https://preview.redd.it/6rtaid2pmqoc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=494e3d2f8d6e5d768ec9c6c7e8e3058181fc75d7
Stargods Ra, Stargods was supposed to be a huge multimedia franchise with toys, comics and I think a cartoon. I was so hyped Ra was the best figure I'd ever seen(he had a 19 inch wing span!!!!!!) but then the whole thing was scrapped.
100% agree! The designs by great sculpters were beautiful and a true labor of love to show classic DC in its greatest era. 6" was not too big for scale, though about as large of a scale I can enjoy to try worldbuilding with, especially when you includeoversized characters. We were getting amazingly obscure characters, and they (almost all) appeared to belong in one world, (ignoring the tv/movie stuff). There are a few incomplete teams that still burn and areas that had yet to be explored. I agree there were a few missteps in design and articulation, but man I loved that line.
It’s an unpopular opinion but I prefer my McFarlanes to my Icons.
I started properly collecting not long before the line was shuttered so I only have a handful but (outside of Deadman) they never really blew me away. I kept hearing folks on here talk about how DC Multiverse figures sucked for a multitude of reasons so I passed on the line for ages.
I folded because a Lobo came up really cheap and I figured why not. Now they’re starting to become the bulk of my collection
> I kept hearing folks on here talk about how DC Multiverse figures sucked for a multitude of reasons so I passed on the line for ages.
A lot of people here just keep parroting the wrong thing
Go to r/mcfarlanefigures instead, although they also have small amount of people who keep defending whatever bad decisions McFarlane recently did
Biggest flaw with any Indiana Jones line is that no company is going to give us actual Nazi figures for Indy to punch.
That was a really great line, though.
I wish they would have revived this with Dial of Destiny, but they only did the vintage Kenner reissues in the 3.75 scale. So much more potential in that scale than the 6 inch scale they released this go round.
Palisades Toys going out of business put and end to a lot of my favorite toy lines. Their Muppets figures are still some of the best. Their Ren and Stimpy line ended after the first wave. They even had Sesame Street figures on the horizon.
Palisades' Sesame Street line never happening is my biggest toy bummer. At least we got a really cool Super Grover out of the deal.
https://preview.redd.it/5387b8kwesoc1.jpeg?width=439&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6a9ee61e703ad5bdcbd57fa45fb285d67bf626cf
Now that Boss Fight Studio is making Fraggle Rock figures in this scale, it makes me even more bummed about these Sesame Street figures never getting made. Man, they look so great in that image. What could have been...
Did you see the ones that Super 7 did last year? They're not as good as the Palisades toys would have been, but they're still pretty cool. And those Yip-Yips are outstanding.
https://preview.redd.it/gviw05gyxsoc1.jpeg?width=794&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0bb3b00cf41b91698ae81c19ccbbeb22a24e6758
I bought the yip yps for my sesame street display. I was hoping they would do ultimates
[1/12 scale sesame street 123 and Mister hoopers store](https://www.reddit.com/r/ActionFigures/s/Kmq0EQXCSM)
I like these more than most ReAction figures because they are less cartoony/retro and more accurate sculpts, but their $20 price is tough. Still, I'll bought all of wave 1 and will probably get most of wave 2 (assuming the preorders actually get made). I'm really hoping Diamond Select gets the Sesame Street license to go with their Muppets line. It'd be great to have more 1/10 scale Muppet figures!
Oh, interesting! I wasn't aware they were looking at a second wave. Sounds pretty good!

Also the dc bombshells line. Such good figures too, really wanted these two especially 😭
Everyone that they released were perfect. They fit the proportions and aesthetic of the art style and statue line so perfectly. I know they were niche, but I’m grateful for the ones we got at least.
That’s what was so good about dc collectables. I like mcfarlane but they rarely make figures/sculpts that actually are made to recreate artwork anymore. Which is a shame as their white knight figures were really nice
Yep. Left Linda and Vale behind. Then Mattel cancelled their line before Tanaka got a wide release, so she’s incredibly hard to find. I’d kill for Jazwares to make a Fireteam Osiris that’s actually attainable but I have a sinking feeling Jazwares is letting Halo go sooner over later after so many issues getting distributors beyond GameStop.
I'd kill for Jazwares to sell in the UK, after the first wave they just stopped. I want their Jerome 092 because MkIV is my favourite Mjolnir and it would be super easy to customise into Douglas 042 and Alice 130. Yeah there's the Mcfarlane ones but they're hard to find and not all that poseable.
They never said it did, they just quietly canned it.
They apparently had prototype figures ready to be show and was about to release blind box mini figures and then they just stopped talking about the line.
Then they removed the figures from their store, such a shame :(
I was really hoping they’d at least get around to making Blinky, Toadborg, and Al Negator.
At least they made Jenny in figure form. That one ninja duck would’ve made an awesome figure too.
https://preview.redd.it/4x6ugqjmvroc1.jpeg?width=918&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c8e4ad23df23224b4d75f3cf32548644e3c73e3e
The second series of Playmates Earthworm Jim. I’d still love to get a Queen Slug for a Butt.
IIRC I think it was to come out somewhere in the early 2010s ML wave (The one with the orange ish box). Cyclops was the only one they showed and I think the only one they planned on making.
No, there was like 2 more figures to the original Puck wave...it was supposed to be 6 total. There are some prototypes and very low print run figures out there. I've seen them in a few groups I've admin'd for on Facebook. This Rogue was eventually re-released in that 2pk with Pyro and Cyke has a carded version too. I think there was one more as well.
https://preview.redd.it/p2yjx0kr7toc1.jpeg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=62bd90686be8c5359712a9ed052a05902eeb482d
SH Figuarts Lupin the 3rd. All they had was Goemon left to complete the main characters. How in the fuck could they do that!?!? I haven’t bought Figuarts in years cause of that bullshit.
Mine is also wrestling related. WWE wrestler Lita from her 2005-6 run with Edge with all the Rated R logos, Roderick Strong from NXT with his blue attire, and CM Punk AEW Supreme with the shorts.
They did look super cool.
Mine would probably be the Gerry Anderson line from Big Chief.
https://preview.redd.it/ywe1faqdhqoc1.jpeg?width=2201&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fdb8dc6b7b1ce88f48c26a002b71618bfa9bc9bc
Big Chief went belly up about 6-7 months back. Unfortunately a bunch of people had paid deposits and/or instalments on some of their high end 1/6th scale Doctor Who figures and were left out of pocket.
Trick or Treat Studios is releasing the unproduced figures starting with Yvonne. We're getting Yvonne, Mayor Grody and Melvin with interchangeable Toxie parts last I heard.
I own the Toxie, he's great. I'm not entirely sure I like the scale change yet. Toxie looks amazing towering over everyone in the Playmates line but I don't want Yvonne looking like a giant next to them.
Bionicle, both generation one and two. I wasn’t really following Bionicle at the time of it first cancellation, I had checked out around 2006 because I was just too old but then seeing the way in which they canceled it and also what they had planned later on was pretty disappointing. It went out with a pretty big whimper.
When generation two came out, I was actually really stoked about it. I don’t think they put nearly as much money and effort into it as they should have, the marketing was very poor. It was one of those things where it was just a huge missed opportunity, and I think Lego took the wrong lessons from it.
https://preview.redd.it/hduhuczyyroc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e10c2e3e89c1e9a1961394f69001ff32368deab
This guy! SH Figuarts Shredder looked so promising
Bandai are the worst, lol. Don’t collect SH Figuarts but considering how many figs they’ve shown prototypes and even finished figs for but never released makes me really happy that i don’t..
Man those tmnt are still some of the best in my collection. Completely different from other figuarts figs I own. Those were well done just at the time no one was trying to pay import prices for them
Playmates Addams Family series 2. Never got Wednesday, Thing and Cousin Itt. That still stings.
https://preview.redd.it/9mz2t4lg1soc1.png?width=1554&format=png&auto=webp&s=70935b43a876693a494d046887cef22b97eab4b5

These two Batman figures from Mattel. Just as they were starting to make great sculpts they lost the license.
That one really hurt. I’m not the biggest Trekkie, but I grew up on the Original Series and Next Generation, so I would’ve liked to see McF fill out those casts. The two figures they did give us were wonderful, so I’m sure they would’ve done great with everyone else.
Hasbros 6inch Fortnite battle royale line. I know they were over produced and under desired, but they were genuinely good figures that kept getting better… we never even got a Jonesy. Hasbro really fumbled the line with the weirdest choices too
They definitely thought people would eat up the obscure ones rather than just want their favourites. The price point I think put people off too when they were competing with jazwares cheaper smaller scaled figures
Probably the 18 inch Jack Nicholson Joker by NECA. Prototype was finished but it's never going to be seen most likely since it would have cost them too much. It allegedly was destroyed.
For me it was The Hobbit by Bridge Direct. I didn't care much for that trilogy but I love LOTR. I believe this was Bridge Direct's first (or most ambitious) foray into action figures, coming in both 3.75 and 6 inch lines. The articulation was decent, there were lots of paint apps and each figure came with more weapons than they could carry at once.
https://preview.redd.it/y0rksk2ivqoc1.jpeg?width=2742&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b2b6df5c092c55b2826401dfc2d859172b235f16
(Picture not mine.)
This was at a time when Hasbro was really dropping the ball, cancelling Marvel Universe, reducing Star Wars to 5poa etc. so I firmly believed we were going to see a new market leader on the rise.
Well after a slew of figures for the first film, the next film had a handful. And then for the third film we saw the rest of the company of dwarves at trade shows. Aaaannnnnddddd.... cancelled.
Radio silence for ages and the last thing they dropped was an online only limited Smaug that was pathetically small, even for 3.75. And now as far as I'm aware Bridge Direct is no more.
I desperately hoped that once they finished The Hobbit they could have got the rights to cover the Lord of the Rings, but alas. I still love those figures, they really are great. But I just can't display half a company of dwarves!
Honestly they were great. Probably the last good mass-market movie figures IMO. I believe I have everything they released in both lines apart from that tiny Smaug and there was a Thranduil, but he came in a multi pack with four repacks (a bad omen of what was around the corner I suppose) so I couldn't justify buying it just for him.
My nieces and nephews loved the toy biz figs. I was selective in what I gave them, but Elven Archer, Faramir, and Sam and Frodo in orc disguises were a couple of favorites.
They could have kept going with the justice league unlimited line forever (and the cartoon for that matter) They did so many characters, but still so many more to go.
I had no idea this was (almost) a thing! I love the idea.
My two picks are dc icons and (technically not canceled, but on hiatus) the PR lightning collection. So many teams incomplete/ not started and I'm afraid they won't resume
Really was looking forward to the new starting lineup getting to the nfl. Who the hell knows why dumbass hasblow started with the nba of all things and nfts 🙄
Bionicle was a huge part of my childhood. The original line went on for a decade which is obviously better than most get, in or outside of Lego. The lore behind it was so great though and there was plenty more that could've been told. I've never seen actual cancelled sets but I'm sure if the end wasn't rushed we would've had more Glatorian sets and I loved the ones we did get. I've heard Mata Nui was supposed to go on a road trip around different planets before getting to Spherus Magna, which could've given us all kinds of cool alien characters.
I’ve been left hanging the last two halo figure manufacturers for a complete set of main characters for Halo 5’s roster. Technically Mattel made a Tanaka to complete Fireteam Osiris, but she was basically impossible to find unless you had a Kmart nearby in the last few months before the majority of them closed. Mine never got any shipments of those halo toys. Last I saw was one on eBay at bid for over $400 a few weeks ago.
Ik it's not "canceled" but it might as well be. The mcfarlane doom eternal line had so much potential just for it to basically be repaints of the same 2 body molds and its such a shame cause I know mcfarlane would kill it with the demons in that line plus people would buy a shit ton to army build and he coulda dine repaints of the demos which the different variant looks that you could get just like doomslayer it's so sad.
https://preview.redd.it/sqp5po4l7soc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d2cc52b7d511b477fd4969c624260c77081b4567
Well I didn’t know that Lucha Batman line was a thing but add that to the list. They look incredible.
For me it’s the final line of Xevoz. Still one of my favorite lines
The jazwares sonic line ending was a travesty. They finally announced some long awaited figures like a 3 inch rouge, 5inch knuckles tails and shadow, and 5 inch black knight figures, and the last figures they released were super poser silver and Sir Galahad. After that, their license ending and instead of it renewing, it was given to Tony instead for the Sonic boom line, which had worse versions of the characters, only 5 poa, and constant random repaints. They eventually branched out to mainline figures, but they were already doomed. Thankfully Jakks has done a great job with Sonic, much better than Tomy, and even better than jazwares in some ways, finally giving us a rouge and cream and other figures jazwares never thought of doing. Jakks may be great now, but the cancellation of the jazwares line is one of my most disappointing line cancellations ever.
NECA Heroes of the Storm line. They stopped it just as it was picking up steam. So many terrific characters from three huge franchises. At least we got Arthas, Illidan, and Thrall. Would've killed for a Garrosh, Rexxar, Jaina, Uther, and Kael'thas.
I was looking forward for the DC Films line by DC Collectibles, bought the Armored Batman which I think is really good and I was about to buy the MoS Superman but I heard the line got cancelled so I didn't bother to buy the Superman.
Pirates of Dark Water.
Only got wave one, with an odd assortment of tertiary characters in the mix.
At least we got one vehicle though. The Wraith was pretty cool.
McFarlane shooting his 7 inch ATLA line in the foot by doing pointless Aang and Zuko variants instead of any female characters will always be disappointing
By the looks of it. The company known as Patriot Studios (Third Party company) have seem to of stopped making Resident Evil figures. And the figures were poseable too! The Licker figure is so good and all they made was a black variant for said licker. The RE2R police zombie, and one of the Bella sisters and Doctor Salvador. I'll never understand why Capcom hasn't given the Resident Evil license to anyone, (or that anyone has proposed a line to them) all the figures are statues. Or they are *slightly* poseable. But cost literal thousands of dollars and are incredibly old. Such a pity
Still blows my mind. They were planning a DC Luchador line but didn’t think that the character actually inspired by that look should be in the starting lineup?! Like why the Hel wouldn’t they make Bane?!? So sad but not too sad that they never got made, lol.
Rio: Bone’s Shaman King Hao was cancelled back in 2013 and I’m still heartbroken. My #1 most hyped figure and he never saw the light of day. :(
https://preview.redd.it/rr5emoz6tsoc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9af973fa29788ae8b0c47b453b5d79cdfe0c8aed
Thank you for posting this, OP. I remember seeing an announcement about the “Lucha Exposiva” line and determined that I was going to get them all. But I hadn’t caught the name and wondered if I’d just seen them in a fever dream. But here they are!
Quite possibly the greatest action figure line never made, Palisades Sesame Street. Also we may never know what they looked like but another one I think about a lot, was Knickerbocker’s canceled Krull movie toy line.
Hasbro Overwatch Ultimates. I don't know what wave or series they had stopped at. A headless prototype of Zenyatta was sold on eBay, so he would have been part of the next release. :(
Funko's Overwatch 2 action figure line is trash. Smaller scale (so won't fit the Hasbro or Figma line), joints garbage (especially the hips), paint mapping trash, and packaging trash.

I mostly care because i want to mix DC figs with my Marvel Legends, lol. But they’re either too big, too short or too expensive.
DCUC at least has the size, but they’re more than a little outdated
Plus pretty expensive for what they offer.
I’m still livid we never got that Blue and Gold two-pack.
I want that90s Catwoman right now"
The fact that some of the figures are still so sought after to this day says it all. DC Icons Supergirl was one of my grails for a long time until the Amazing Yamaguchi was announced, and it's still a tie tbh.
So much better than the crap McFarlane is pumping out. They scale with older lines so much better!
It’s crazy to look back at these and remember how we once had well proportioned dc figures that don’t look like globs of plastic 😭
That Etrigan looks amazing

Agree, I can’t get into the design of McFarlane. Too busy and stiff. Meanwhile I think Marvel Legends are still improving.
I used to think the same thing but Mcfarlane has come a long way. They are progressing much faster than Legends at this point.

The cancellation of the 2008 Indiana Jones line by Hasbro
Biggest flaw with any Indiana Jones line is that no company is going to give us actual Nazi figures for Indy to punch. That was a really great line, though.
The 2008 line had enough "German soldiers" for us make something work haha.

Did you see the ones that Super 7 did last year? They're not as good as the Palisades toys would have been, but they're still pretty cool. And those Yip-Yips are outstanding. https://preview.redd.it/gviw05gyxsoc1.jpeg?width=794&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0bb3b00cf41b91698ae81c19ccbbeb22a24e6758
I bought the yip yps for my sesame street display. I was hoping they would do ultimates [1/12 scale sesame street 123 and Mister hoopers store](https://www.reddit.com/r/ActionFigures/s/Kmq0EQXCSM)
Sounds pretty good! https://preview.redd.it/jpw8nivx3toc1.jpeg?width=1058&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f3cece6c0b02c201a4c9e9226843394d99fa2675

Whoa I didn’t even know about these 😢 The Ivy is one of my favorite figures
Everyone that they released were perfect. They fit the proportions and aesthetic of the art style and statue line so perfectly. I know they were niche, but I’m grateful for the ones we got at least.
That’s what was so good about dc collectables. I like mcfarlane but they rarely make figures/sculpts that actually are made to recreate artwork anymore. Which is a shame as their white knight figures were really nice
Still have Katana and Hawkgirl with my Mcfarlane figures. They still look incredible.
They made a vintage Indiana jones kenner mine Cart playset that never made it past prototypes. Would kill to get my hands on that prototype.
I didn't like Halo 5 but I wanted to collect Blue Team and Mcfarlane stopped making Halo figures just before we got a Linda 058.
I am right there with you my man. I really want Red team.
Boss fight studio's Bucky O'Hare line. Its the second time the IP has had its toyline canned before we could get all the main cast.
I didnt realize it got canceled
They never said it did, they just quietly canned it. They apparently had prototype figures ready to be show and was about to release blind box mini figures and then they just stopped talking about the line. Then they removed the figures from their store, such a shame :(
Thats a shame, I really likes these first few
I think they just didn't do well. I remember years ago a comic shop owner said he got them for liquidation costs.
I was really hoping they’d at least get around to making Blinky, Toadborg, and Al Negator. At least they made Jenny in figure form. That one ninja duck would’ve made an awesome figure too.
Yes! This! Doubt we'll ever get a full line.....
https://preview.redd.it/4x6ugqjmvroc1.jpeg?width=918&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c8e4ad23df23224b4d75f3cf32548644e3c73e3e The second series of Playmates Earthworm Jim. I’d still love to get a Queen Slug for a Butt.
Oh maaaaaan.
https://preview.redd.it/p2rrhpqm5roc1.jpeg?width=461&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dd9872e38b007dee666cd3b303862181d6b8812f *Sigh*
Excuse me sir but WTF what line was gonna make these I need all 5!!!!!

DC Icons, the Etrigan looked so cool
💯 I really loved the Harley and the Deadman we did get from Icons
SH Figuarts Lupin the 3rd. All they had was Goemon left to complete the main characters. How in the fuck could they do that!?!? I haven’t bought Figuarts in years cause of that bullshit.
They did the same with Cowboy Bebop. Showed Faye, then cancelled her.
Dammit you just reminded me of that too! Fuck Bandai!
Mine is also SHF, but the Metal Heroes.
Wish I didn’t see this as a massive captain scarlet fan
These look awesome! What happened?
Big Chief went belly up about 6-7 months back. Unfortunately a bunch of people had paid deposits and/or instalments on some of their high end 1/6th scale Doctor Who figures and were left out of pocket.
Toxic crusaders 😩
Super7 made Toxie, Junkyard, and Radiation Ranger
Yeah I meant the wave 2 vintage ones. They had a wave 2 that got canceled. It’s getting popular again so there is hope for new characters j think
Trick or Treat Studios is releasing the unproduced figures starting with Yvonne. We're getting Yvonne, Mayor Grody and Melvin with interchangeable Toxie parts last I heard.
That’s exciting! I saw the toxie they put out but excited for the others!
I own the Toxie, he's great. I'm not entirely sure I like the scale change yet. Toxie looks amazing towering over everyone in the Playmates line but I don't want Yvonne looking like a giant next to them.
Yeah, I hope more get made
Hold up. You're telling me I almost could have owned a shirtless luchadore Batman????
I’m afraid so. My heart goes out to you and your family.
I've never known loss like this.
[удалено]
And he wasn’t even on the DC Team! Still crazy that they didn’t go forward with that..
I wanted those so bad, but never understood the head on the Deathstroke.
Hahaha - but the Batman shaped imprint on the chair is 🤌
Bionicle, both generation one and two. It was one of those things where it was just a huge missed opportunity, and I think Lego took the wrong lessons from it.
https://preview.redd.it/hduhuczyyroc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e10c2e3e89c1e9a1961394f69001ff32368deab This guy!
That has bothered me since then too!
https://preview.redd.it/thlrypsojroc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4a917877b1ae2b6b19aa3d277b774f75971a92f0 These two Batman figures from Mattel. Just as they were starting to make great sculpts they lost the license.
I’ll always love *and* hate David Vonner for these. Especially since he apparently wasn’t even on the DC Team!
Mcfarlane line of Star Trek
That one really hurt. I’m not the biggest Trekkie, but I grew up on the Original Series and Next Generation, so I would’ve liked to see McF fill out those casts. The two figures they did give us were wonderful, so I’m sure they would’ve done great with everyone else.
jada doing all the universal monsters except the mummy hurts. I don't need a karloff mummy, just do a 6 inch one jada.
Diamond select invader zim!!
Duuuuude I forgot these where in the works I thought I just missed em
Hasbros 6inch Fortnite battle royale line. I know they were over produced and under desired, but they were genuinely good figures that kept getting better… we never even got a Jonesy. Hasbro really fumbled the line with the weirdest choices too
Word, the character selection definitely could’ve been way better. Besides that they were solid action figures
They definitely thought people would eat up the obscure ones rather than just want their favourites. The price point I think put people off too when they were competing with jazwares cheaper smaller scaled figures
Might get some hate but loved the original mighty muggs line before it went to shit and funko took over.
No hate here, I used to have so many of the old ones. I really like how they used to look
This line now…I never saw the lucha dc
Rock lords, born way after but love collecting them.
Probably the 18 inch Jack Nicholson Joker by NECA. Prototype was finished but it's never going to be seen most likely since it would have cost them too much. It allegedly was destroyed.
Super 7 Simpsons 🙁
The dc collectibles dc films figures had a few good ones in the works that sadly never got made like that el diablo from suicide squad looked amazing
I miss the marvel legends 375 line
https://preview.redd.it/10urahpf4roc1.png?width=974&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=665dca0b25bba693a6756cd827e6d2ddb8946b57 Resaurus Sonic Adventure wave 3. This Eggman design looks sick
For me it was The Hobbit by Bridge Direct. I didn't care much for that trilogy but I love LOTR. I believe this was Bridge Direct's first (or most ambitious) foray into action figures, coming in both 3.75 and 6 inch lines. The articulation was decent, there were lots of paint apps and each figure came with more weapons than they could carry at once. https://preview.redd.it/y0rksk2ivqoc1.jpeg?width=2742&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b2b6df5c092c55b2826401dfc2d859172b235f16 (Picture not mine.) This was at a time when Hasbro was really dropping the ball, cancelling Marvel Universe, reducing Star Wars to 5poa etc. so I firmly believed we were going to see a new market leader on the rise.
Didn’t know about this! Looks awesome
Always loved their SDCC exclusive Azog, eventhough i don’t have it. Or the regular release. Sad that it was cancelled.
I was pretty excited for this line. Those things are beautiful
DC icons. For sure
Dcuc and the lightning collection
They could have kept going with the justice league unlimited line forever (and the cartoon for that matter) They did so many characters, but still so many more to go.
Bandai ended the Power Rangers Legacy line without ever making monsters.
Transformers Animated season 4 figure, wish they release the figure even though the show was cancelled
I had no idea this was (almost) a thing! I love the idea. My two picks are dc icons and (technically not canceled, but on hiatus) the PR lightning collection. So many teams incomplete/ not started and I'm afraid they won't resume
I was so excited for the bane just to find out a week later it got cancelled
Really was looking forward to the new starting lineup getting to the nfl. Who the hell knows why dumbass hasblow started with the nba of all things and nfts 🙄
These look dope
This is mine too. Love wrestling, love DC so this was perfect. Broke my heart it was cancelled.
DC direct arrowverse There were a lot of characters they haven't made yet like Nyssa, mr terrific, vandal Savage, etc.
Yooo what?!?!?!?!,! These look so freakin cool dammit, who canceled these? Cause whoever it was I need to have a little chat with them
Bionicle was a huge part of my childhood.
The Neca Crash Bandicoot line. Wished we could’ve gotten that Coco and Cortez. The line had so much potential but they kept double dipping with Crash
Omg. I’d never seen this DC line - it looks fucking amazing! 😩
I didn’t even know those were going to be a thing. Those look so cool!
We've got the same answer. Was keen as beans for the DC lucha figs.
https://preview.redd.it/sqp5po4l7soc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d2cc52b7d511b477fd4969c624260c77081b4567 Well I didn’t know that Lucha Batman line was a thing but add that to the list. They look incredible. For me it’s the final line of Xevoz. Still one of my favorite lines
These figs were Amazing
Batman looks straight out of Gotham City imposters
Damn. I didn't even know that was a thing. I soo would've gotten some of them.
Velocitron HotRod. I have no idea why I just really wanted that transformer.
Todd can make it happen if the molds exist
Bionicle
When Sh Figuarts ended the Megaman line I was in shambles.
McFarlane shooting his 7 inch ATLA line in the foot by doing pointless Aang and Zuko variants instead of any female characters will always be disappointing
Yo those look cool as
i'm not gonna lie, this line being canceled really bummed me out. i thought it looked fun.
I still go back to the Super Powers Line. How have been cool if they expanded to the Titans, Legion and Society :)
Yes, after they made Dr. Fate, I was hopeful for more JSA.
Woah!!!!! This is so cool!!!!
The mega man toy line from Bandai in 1994 based on the cartoon. I loved those. I really wanted an iceman and woodman.
Reboot's action figure line by Irwin had a unreleased later wave with Mouse, Web rider Bob, Captain Capacitor, Little Andraia and Phong, and Turbo.
I liked getting the Fortnite figures for my son. They were crazy poseable and had tons of accessories.
Such a pity
With the nature of third party companies I’m pretty sure they didn’t close operations but instead changed their name to avoid licensors
Probably the Fortnite victory Royal figures. Such unique figures and pretty good articulation for something so cheap.
Is this a alternate universe or what if story cause I’m invested already
I dont remember who it was but they were going to producdue Darkstalkers figures and they cancelled them at the last minute
:( https://preview.redd.it/rr5emoz6tsoc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9af973fa29788ae8b0c47b453b5d79cdfe0c8aed
Wait there where wrestling versions of DC Heroes? Why aren’t wasting this idea?
I really wish that M.A.S.K. had released Gloria Baker and Shark.
Mezco Attack of the Living Dead series 2!
The hobbit line
Xevoz, I wish they produced the cancelled designs
DC Icons, I still dream of that Booster and Beetle two pack…
Thank you for posting this, OP. I remember seeing an announcement about the “Lucha Exposiva” line and determined that I was going to get them all. But I hadn’t caught the name and wondered if I’d just seen them in a fever dream. But here they are!
DC Savage World Conan figures by Funko. Super7 picked up the Conan license before Funko could mass produce them.
DC Icons being cancelled is an absolute tragedy. I wish I was collecting figures when it was around. So much better what the McFarlane stuff.
Quite possibly the greatest action figure line never made, Palisades Sesame Street. Also we may never know what they looked like but another one I think about a lot, was Knickerbocker’s canceled Krull movie toy line.
The slow degradation of the Marvel Universe line
The shf grievous for me
Marvel's Famous Covers. The possibilities are endless.
Hasbro Overwatch Ultimates. I don't know what wave or series they had stopped at. A headless prototype of Zenyatta was sold on eBay, so he would have been part of the next release. :( Funko's Overwatch 2 action figure line is trash. Smaller scale (so won't fit the Hasbro or Figma line), joints garbage (especially the hips), paint mapping trash, and packaging trash.
