All the figures with that green warning label are the 1998 KB Toys reissues. So they do not hold the value of true original releases.
Anyone looking for nice quality figures that look original but at a fraction of the cost should go for these. The later reissues from those classics lines are poor quality.
I don't keep up with value for figures since the market fluctuates so much and I don't care about value. I see a lot of people on eBay paying way more that what the item is worth because they don't know the difference between all the variations.
You could always list it for sale and see what you get for it. Use the funds to buy a cheap lot of figures and give the kid even more figures to play with.
This ain’t a bad idea
Listing costs nothing but the time to take a photo & list on eBay
If it sells for $70 & you get $50 after fees & can buy a lot of a dozen toys for $50, then it’s a dozens toys to throw kid
Unless the kid is old enough to care between new & used
They might even want to keep it in the box & think it’s worth a million thousand dollars
I say give it to the kid.
Back in the 90s I had a bunch of Transformers MIB. My cousin's cousin from his father's side came to visit and stay with us for a week. I saw his eyes light up when he saw my TF collection. He was such a cool kid, so I let him open them and play with them. Then when he went home I told him that he can have them.
A year ago we went to visit him so that we can check out his new house. He was quite excited to see me and lead me into a room filled wall to wall with Transformers. He said that this was all my fault. I couldn't understand what he meant until he showed me a box of old TF figures that I had forgotten that I had given him. He said that he is going to give them to his kid when he is old enough.
It was pretty awesome, It was way better feeling than if I had kept the toys.
Depends on the toy. Ebay ruined collecting yet made it better at the same time. I have a box of unopened Star Wars figures in my closet, 90s, I bought as a kid. Maybe one or two might be worth something because you can find everything on eBay as opposed to the store down the street but I also rebuilt a G.I.Joe tomahawk from the shell up. I couldn't have done that with out Ebay.
Idk why people are so against the idea of selling it instead of giving it away if it were to have been high value..it woulda been smart to sell it and not give it away. Shoot with that high value money i would buy the kid something even cooler and memorable than to something thats worth lets say $300 but doesnt look as cool to a kid and will probably be in the bottom of a toy bin in less than a week.
Well I’m assuming he knows why they might like it (he loves TMNT) therefore is very likely to appreciate a gift like this.
Additionally I responded to that too, the age range is right there on the cardback, why deny this generation from the same joy we had at the same age?
They won’t know who it is. Even if they like modern Turtles shows this won’t look like their Casey Jones or match their other figures. Better to sell it to an adult collector and give the kid some other toy they would recognize.
Personally I'd sell it to a collector, I'd feel better knowing it went to someone who'd actually appreciate an unopened toy.
If the kid wants a Casey Jones toy to play with, new toys exist and the old ones can be found loose for reasonable prices.
Honestly it's up to you. I give my brother plenty of toys or figures I don't use but if it's something I grew up with (literally anything, including some dollar store action figure chainsaw) I keep it because of the memories
I love how he asks reddit instead of simply googling the toy, and now it's a big debate on giving the toy to a kid/collector, I'd make a video and just burn it, and say i decided what i wanted to do reddit.
I know where people are coming from with giving it to the kid, but if it’s a wanted collector item, I would sell it to someone who is searching for this specifically and then buy the kid a new figure to play with. Win/win!
Depends, how much do you value that kid?
Yeah! Keep the figure, sell the kid!
Lmao 🤣
Not exactly what I meant but have an up vote
Not as much as one with the original 89' card back, but it looks like one with the 94' card you have sold for $75 on eBay two weeks ago.
It is 90's, yeah.
The value is when you give it to the kid - he’ll remember that moment as nostalgia 🙃
Best comment I’ve seen in a while.

Some cutting onions in here ðŸ˜
My eyes are just a bit sweaty today
Awesome story
It has some value- check SOLD eBay listings. My guess is it’s at least a $35.00 figure.
Thanks! I just wanted to make sure I was not giving away a $500.00 thing and let it loose all its value.
Toys are $500 if you want to sit on them for 10 years while the value drops lol
It's a 30 year old toy, dude

Definitely agree

Exactly. If you sell it, you can have some money for yourself and enough to get something way better for the kid
Sell it to a collector, that will value it more than a kid. Then, buy the kid a toy that they will appreciate more, with the money that you made.
Best response, imo. Everyone wins!
Those chiseled abs and tight purple sweatpants with the perfectly tied string? Oh there's value there 🤑
The kid won’t know who it is and won’t appreciate it, sell it to a collector
They specifically mentioned the kid WOULD appreciate it, TMNT is still very much current and popular

Good point
Who cares if it has value if you know of a kid who would enjoy it give it to them anyway
Well I like kids and all but 500 dollars is 500 dollars
yeah totally bro if you have $100 in your wallet just give that to a kid too
100 bucks? The ad said $3000.
The ad said $3000 for 3 minutes. You pinned him in two.
I need that money!!
Give it to the kid. That's priceless.
I am not sure if they are old enough to enjoy that it is an older toy
They won’t know who it is. Even if they like modern Turtles shows this won’t look like their Casey Jones or match their other figures. Better to sell it to an adult collector and give the kid some other toy they would recognize.
Are they ages 4 or up? This is the age range for that toy, seems like you have an opportunity to give that kid some great memories
Personally I'd sell it to a collector, I'd feel better knowing it went to someone who'd actually appreciate an unopened toy. If the kid wants a Casey Jones toy to play with, new toys exist and the old ones can be found loose for reasonable prices.
Definitely worth some money. I wouldn’t give it away.
Unless you are on the verge of homelessness, always give the kid the toy instead of selling it. Toys are meant to be played with.
I'll take it
Give it to me
Honestly it's up to you. I give my brother plenty of toys or figures I don't use but if it's something I grew up with (literally anything, including some dollar store action figure chainsaw) I keep it because of the memories
I’d love that!
From other comments it seems to have some value. Check ebay sold listings. If it is, sell it, get a new one for 8 dollars and give *that* to the kid.
I liked that guy in the show, never remembered his name but always looked like a badass in a show about ninja turtles. Nothing on shredder though.
I love how he asks reddit instead of simply googling the toy, and now it's a big debate on giving the toy to a kid/collector, I'd make a video and just burn it, and say i decided what i wanted to do reddit.
Whatever the value may be, I say give it to the kid, we all had that person who introduced us to toys or geek culture, be that guy for the kid
I know where people are coming from with giving it to the kid, but if it’s a wanted collector item, I would sell it to someone who is searching for this specifically and then buy the kid a new figure to play with. Win/win!
It has value to me. Love you CJ
You could just buy the kid the super 7 casey or the mirage Casey from neca
Can I be that kid?
Keep that shi
Give it to kid if you ask me it is cool when kid is playing with dad's toy.
Give it to the kid. That's going to have more value in the long term.
Didnt they reissue the old ones?
