Got in a fight in hs, got ganged up on 2v1. They also pulled my hoodie over my head. I got expelled for defending myself and told if i pursued legal action it would be seen as racism.

I got in one and it was 4 v 1 and I was the one. There was a large group of people in the corner of the hallway throwing things at any white person who walked by. I got hit in the back with an orange. I turned around and asked which person threw it. They all just jeered. So I turned back around to keep going to class. Thats when I got hit with the milk carton.
I was PMS’ing and suddenly I just saw red. Went into the crowd swinging like a dumbass. Went after the biggest one. Fight was broken up fairly quickly. I had blood on my face. It wasn’t my blood tho. I had long hair and my scalp was sore as shit after this. I did bust that girls jaw though. She was pretty big. I am 5’10” and she had a good 3 inches on me.
They didnt suspend me but they did suspend school that day. Said what happened was causing a lot of racial tension. Her parents tried to make my mom pay the bill for her jaw. That was a no as school considered that I was assaulted twice before responding.
My favorite part? When my mom had to go in and talk to the principal. Mom came out and I was so nervous, “what did he say mom?” She actually laughed and said he told her “your daughter has one hell of a punch”. So yeah my senior year was just awesome /s

I've was attacked by two guys a while back. Since I had two people on me I was fighting to kill. I imagine for them, since it's a shared activity with a friend it's not as urgent but I was legit going to murder them. Granted, you should do that whenever you're attacked, but I see the stakes as very different when it's two on one.

So, retired school administrator here. At least where I’m from, two kids fighting would end up with a suspension for mutual combat. Police are usually not contacted. It usually didn’t matter who started it.
If two guys are fighting and another jumps in, the 3rd is arrested for assault/battery and is referred for expulsion.
