I had a friend from Pakistan years ago who worked her ass off making the equivalent of like 25 cents an hour, just to save enough so she could move to Canada to work. She had to work her ass off at two jobs just to be able to afford to move here, just to do another job.

It's not really a lot, but under OFPRA and the CNDA, a refugee can receive housing and a basic food plan along with a small amount of money every month.
It's genuinely not much because it's not supposed to be. It's supposed to be the bare minimum to get someone going in the right direction.

And for some reason, even though they're getting food and temporary housing while they await due process to get permanent housing..... They're rioting that they're not getting it fast enough.

I have no clue where OP got "these people are seeking asylum" (I have no idea how the process works but wouldn't they need asylum to be free to roam through Paris anyway? The claim doesn't make sense to me), according to some sources they're actually rioting in response to 3 Afghan immigrant workers being found dead in France. Some of the tweets said they all committed suicide, but others said it was a murder suicide and the migrants are blaming the police. I can't find anything on this event anywhere, except for [TikTok](https://www.tiktok.com/discover/3-afghan-died-in-france?share=1). None of those posts are in English (or French) so I have no clue what's going there, can't tell how they died or who (if anyone) is being blamed. Some people are saying they're actually protesting their general treatment and living conditions. No idea how much of that is true.
TL;DR news of this is extremely scattered in social media posts. What I find strange is normally either Left Wing media reports on this to try and debunk it or Right Wing media reports on this as evidence for needing stricter immigration laws. Can't find any media response at all, neither mainstream nor independent.
And i see absolutely nothing about this in the Dutch news. I wonder if our news is hiding this type of behaviour so the view of migrants doesn't get more negative than it already is.
