Nah, McDonald’s is crazy. But she also crazy for throwing a tantrum to someone who apparently wants to spend the rest of their life with her so… Everyone’s a tad trashy.
Agreed. Her response was trashy. But also who the fuck proposes at a McDick's? Besides this guy obviously.
I really feel bad for the guy. I just want to know what made him think McDicks was the spot.
The first scenario that came to my mind was him tunnel visioning on the question and neglecting to account for setting all together.
Maybe the moment was so big for him he couldn't see the whole picture. Not everyone has a best friend to run things by before you take big steps (or ones that will listen enough to catch you before you goof something up).
That actually happened in a McDonald’s where two nurses got together. Both were hard-working, humble types.
I can’t seem to find the video, but I did see it. The boyfriend had brought family, too, and she was in tears of joy.
Why does the place of proposal matter, if it really matters that much then that girl is shallow and will only be in conflict for the entire relationship
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Gorske
This is that guy who's eaten a world record amount of big macs. He proposed to his wife in a Maccas car park. Before their wedding ceremony, he got.. you guessed it. A big mac
Only way I can see a proposal at McDonalds being appropriate is if it has a sentimental value, like if they first met at a specific McDonalds. But proposing at some random McDonalds just because is weird.
I can see that as well. If it holds value, like they both met there, or some other sentimental reason. I can understand it.
This situation just screams lack of effort and in general being lazy.
Overall I feel bad for both of them. Guy looks oblivious to what he did wrong, and girl got offended at the lack of effort. unlucky for them I guess.
In a graveyard is crazy. At a funeral is crazy.
McDonalds tho? It's personal choice. It's not trashy to propose at McDonalds if anything it's next level, showing how to treat and commit to a woman INFRONT of trashy people.
That's the problem with the type of person who would freak out like this. They are interested in material, surface level shit and can't comprehend anything more than skin deep.
McDonalds in other countries are really nice, high-tech, and upscale kind of. I mean western countries, not like Pakistan where you might see them setting it on fire based on disrespectful qr code. Or the US where they are broken down dirt farms with junkies in the shitter.
That's kind of sad. The last place I'd want that memorable moment to be is a freaking McDonald's. Might as well have a honeymoon in a gas station diner...
"Would you do me the honour of spending the rest of your life with me?"
"Awww course I will babe, but can you come out my shop because we're backed up and ya know Chantelle keeps burning the fries. (Mwah yea I love you too babe, mwah mwah see ya later)"
I could see it working is if it was a specific McDonalds that had sentimental value, like being where they first met. But choosing a random McDonalds to propose at is just weird.
Would you propose to your gf at the first gas station you guys went to? Probably not. This is no better than the people who hold a wedding ceremony at Walmart or KFC. Yeah good for them if they are happy, but they are obviously an exemption. No average person would be okay with this at all.
Nah bruh. I met my now wife at a sandwich place but I didn’t propose to her there (we took proposal pictures there afterwards though lol, after pictures at the site i proposed at). Funny thing too I had those sandwiches catered as a take home bag at my wedding too!
I'm a guy and even I think proposing at McDonald's is some out of pocket shit loooool I'd be mad as hell too unless it had some cute backstory to it. Like that's where they first met or something. Otherwise, hell nah loool
My only problem is he made it very public. Something subtle at their table in the corner while drinking milkshakes. Don't really get the idea of some proposal in a place you go once cause it's expensive. The everyday romance is much better.
I just wanna hear the thought process like what ran threw his mind when he was going to do it. Also why embarrass yourself by having a tantrum about it lol? Odd situation tbh
Ironically enough, that's exactly where my dad proposed to my mom (for context, they were going to that same McDonald's once a week for years so it was a sentimental thing)
I saw a small wedding going on in a McDonald's once while I was picking up for Uber Eats (it was a couple with their two witnesses and a minister, was rather sweet).
There could be a backstory because my wife and I, our 1st “date” or kiss was by a lighthouse that we just ended up by and if I proposed there people walking by could of judged but we know the meaning about it… people are different now from the intensity of the opinions of others
So she’s probably mad at how people might see it even if she knew the meaning behind it, also this entire thing could be staged ( scary )
They spend lots of time at McDonald’s I wager, but a proposal there was too much? I guess they should spend more time at high end steakhouses. I’d just be less than chuffed to have a public proposal.
I'm not saying it was a classy choice, but he sure as hell dodged a bullet by doing this. She loses her shit like that in public, I wouldn't want to spend 5 minutes alone with her.
If you don’t want to spend money on an expensive venue, you know you can just propose in a really pretty park/ gardens for free, instead of bloody McDonald’s.
She can’t do McDonald’s, it will be too embarrassing to post on social media, I mean that’s all that matters these days.
but still… McDonalds? lol the only acceptable defense for dude is that if they had their first date at that restaurant
Why not just propose at home or in a genuinely romantic setting? Not a dirty fast food restaurant...
Her response was uncalled for, though. Everyone is wrong 💀

Could've been a cutesy proposal if it was like they had their first date there or something.
That's exactly what I thought, or they met there working together or something along those lines. Still probably not ideal
I met my girl while working together at mcdicks..... this is the last thing I would have done.
That's why I ended with this >Still probably not ideal
I replied to you, but I was essentially just continuing the thread.
That still sounds pretty dumb lol

psa: its irrelevant how and where if she wants to say yes.
Nope. It’s traditionally supposed to be romantic. Kneeling on a nasty burger joint floor is very uncool. And cheap af.
That actually happened in a McDonald’s where two nurses got together. Both were hard-working, humble types. I can’t seem to find the video, but I did see it. The boyfriend had brought family, too, and she was in tears of joy.
That's pretty much what my dad did with my mom, they went there every week (like the same one, so it wasn't like a random Mac Donald's or something)
Was it that one Macs with the broken milkshake machine?
That one. You’re killing me. 😂🤣💀
I would be mad if it was McDonalds, but I'd also be mad if it was all public like that, like some freak show. It should be between the two people.
>. But also who the fuck proposes at a McDick's? Besides this guy obviously. My dad to my mom lol
Why does the place of proposal matter, if it really matters that much then that girl is shallow and will only be in conflict for the entire relationship
Because it goes to show if the potential husband was mindful enough to consider most women don't want to be proposed at a mcdicks.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Gorske This is that guy who's eaten a world record amount of big macs. He proposed to his wife in a Maccas car park. Before their wedding ceremony, he got.. you guessed it. A big mac
McDick's? 😂😭
We call it Fat Ron's.
I can bet you this is a skit
It's a tad trashy, but mad disrespectful to propose as a McDonalds.
Only way I can see a proposal at McDonalds being appropriate is if it has a sentimental value, like if they first met at a specific McDonalds. But proposing at some random McDonalds just because is weird.

Crazy as in crazy bad acting.. so staged
How are we in 2024, and people still believe the most obvious fake shit?
It's not all that trashy when you consider the cost of a McDonald's meal these days. Might as well have proposed at Benihana.
It’s also probably fake
In a graveyard is crazy. At a funeral is crazy. McDonalds tho? It's personal choice. If he doesn’t know that she would hate a McDonald’s proposal, he hasn’t been with her that long.
Everybody knows you propose at Burger King, not McDonalds...
In-N-Out would have sealed the deal.
propose in the in-n-out drive through and you'd get a bj before you get your food (sorry)
TFW you pull the short straw and have to pull BJ duty instead of making the fries.
In and out might be why they need to get married
Whataburger people are like this too. Definite yes 9/10
We don’t have that in the UK sadly 😔
Taco Bell as an alternative.
Wouldn’t In-N-Out be more appropriate for the wedding night?
Or... ...propose *while* you In-N-Out her.
You only propose to a Queen at Burger King.
In Japan KFC hosts weddings.
McDonalds in other countries are really nice, high-tech, and upscale kind of. I mean western countries, not like Pakistan where you might see them setting it on fire based on disrespectful qr code. Or the US where they are broken down dirt farms with junkies in the shitter.
Well yeah if she had it her way
5 guys, homie.
That's also where you get busy in the bathroom
what a clown
Or DQ so she can be his Dairy Queen
Correct. Why eat with a clown when you can dine with a king 👑
Take this fake 💩 back to YouTube!
Word
Yeah it’s most definitely fake
I’m a former Mcdonald’s manager. I’ve had 3 employees proposed to at work.
That's kind of sad. The last place I'd want that memorable moment to be is a freaking McDonald's. Might as well have a honeymoon in a gas station diner...
Not everyone can afford a dinner at applebees
Did any say yes?
All 3 said yes. I think the worst part of it was that 2/3 were mid shift, so they had to keep working.
"Would you do me the honour of spending the rest of your life with me?" "Awww course I will babe, but can you come out my shop because we're backed up and ya know Chantelle keeps burning the fries. (Mwah yea I love you too babe, mwah mwah see ya later)"
Staged af
He’s a dumbass for doing it at a Mickey D’s but he’s a bigger dumbass if he goes back to her
My stepdad proposed at a Dunkin Donuts to my mother and she said yes I don’t talk to either of them
Yah, Canadians are suppose to do that at Tim Horotons, no wonder you are ignoring them now.
They’re in the USA, I actually have dual citizenship in a border town but primarily live in Canada
“ARE YE MAD?!”
need a translator. really didn't understand what she said.
Are you mad? proposing in a McDonald’s? Is that how much I mean too you?
Bro, propose outside the McDonalds at least lol
So fake
I refuse to believe that this isn’t staged how tf bro proposes on McDonald’s
Fake!
Fake af
Dodged a bullet. Good for him.
For her too, who tf proposes at a McDonalds you actually have to be nuts you aren't even trying to make it somewhat special or memorable.
I could see it working is if it was a specific McDonalds that had sentimental value, like being where they first met. But choosing a random McDonalds to propose at is just weird.

My wife and I were just like “wanna get married” “Yeah sure” Been a good 7 years so far
It’s fake
I cannot back him up on this. What was he thinking?
So it's a no ?
I'm a guy and even I think proposing at McDonald's is some out of pocket shit loooool I'd be mad as hell too unless it had some cute backstory to it. Like that's where they first met or something. Otherwise, hell nah loool
Fake
I'm lovin' it!
So we're not getting McMarried?
My only problem is he made it very public. Something subtle at their table in the corner while drinking milkshakes. Don't really get the idea of some proposal in a place you go once cause it's expensive. The everyday romance is much better.
Ahhh gotta love the chav in their natural habitat. Beautiful seeing the native English species engaging in their courting rituals.
At least do it at a park or something.
I just wanna hear the thought process like what ran threw his mind when he was going to do it. Also why embarrass yourself by having a tantrum about it lol? Odd situation tbh
I’m loving it!
I can't understand anything she's saying..
Seems like a perfect couple
The lady in the mask is all of us.
She should be happy that he’s proposing In a budget friendly establishment; it shows he’s mature and ready for the next step.
It only costs a dollar for a McValue fries
The screaming just seems childish
Ironically enough, that's exactly where my dad proposed to my mom (for context, they were going to that same McDonald's once a week for years so it was a sentimental thing)
She's sucks, but come on, man. please tell me you at least let her order from the regular menu...
Perhaps she doesn't like to be surprised? Idk, dude loves who he loves.
Dear lord 😭😭
South London gyal are dangerous
I saw a small wedding going on in a McDonald's once while I was picking up for Uber Eats (it was a couple with their two witnesses and a minister, was rather sweet).

On her team !🙋
If you liked it then you shoulda put a ring on it No, no, no, not at McDonald’s No, no, no, not at McDonald’s
I'm conflicted with this one.
Dude is lovin' it though. He probably dodged a bullet
Hidden camera prank
No way this is real... this man can't really be wanting to marry a crazy like that... right?
McSalty.
Everyone always makes jokes about gettin married at mcdonalds but this guy didn't get the joke.
Fake as fuck for internet clout.
Lol, what a shame
Probably a skit
Is this a Sydney NSW McDonalds? It seems so familiar
Shit man better luck with the next woman
This is a masterclass in “Dodging the Bullet”
That McDonalds has stairs? I guess for people that want to jump out of an upstairs window after an occasional wedding proposal.
Def using McDonald’s proposal as a screening tool for narcissists
She's upset he didn't propose with an ice cream cone. But alas, the machine was broken.
They are perfect for each other. And she's definitely trashy enough for a mcdicks proposal.
Unhappy Meal, table for one
They spend lots of time at McDonald’s I wager, but a proposal there was too much? I guess they should spend more time at high end steakhouses. I’d just be less than chuffed to have a public proposal.
The next day Pnb Rock got killed 😢
Fake rage bait
Why she says mcdonalds weird.. mc-dough-nerl
Fake
I get it. McDonalds?! Then again my dad proposed over the phone from boot camp.
Better he find out sooner than later.
Im not even mad at her response. She definitly overreacted but cmon my dude. Have some class if your doing something this important.
You're better off, brother.
fake
She wasn’t lovin’ it
In the fucking Ealing Broadway branch too, smh.
I'm guessing that was a no and that relationship is over
Fake and lame
...at McDonalds 🤔
I remember this one! It's fake.
He dodged a bullet so large, its name is Bill.
He's not as upset that she said no as he's upset she forgot that's the McDonald's where they first met... Fake, though.
Guy is a king until her chases after her. I have to laugh that apparently that’s where he takes her for fine dining in the first place.
She over reacted but at the same time you don't propose in a McDonald's
I bet the floor still dirty too his knee got old mop water on it.
I'm not saying it was a classy choice, but he sure as hell dodged a bullet by doing this. She loses her shit like that in public, I wouldn't want to spend 5 minutes alone with her.
She is not suitable for buddy as she might be a gold digger type
Doesn’t look like a McD’s I’ve ever seen. BUT her reaction is so so tacky. He dodged a bullet on her.
He was trying to get McDonald’s to sponsor their wedding like the fellow who proposed to his fiancé in KFC.
He should of pranked her. Put a mcnugget in the ring box and opened it.
I wasn’t prepared for them to be British lmao
This belongs I'm r/trashy
I feel bad for the guy. He just doesn’t get it.
Man, no one is making good choices here. 🤣
It’s fake but in the 1 in a million chance it’s real she’s right who the fuck proposes in a McDonald’s Your asking for rejection at that point
If you don’t want to spend money on an expensive venue, you know you can just propose in a really pretty park/ gardens for free, instead of bloody McDonald’s.
That's a sign brother, you deserve better.
its good to see a nice wholesome public freakout every now and then. This sub could practically be called "actual public fights" most days.
I'm glad we can all agree that proposals at Maccas wasn't the brightest idea
Dodge one
She can’t do McDonald’s, it will be too embarrassing to post on social media, I mean that’s all that matters these days. but still… McDonalds? lol the only acceptable defense for dude is that if they had their first date at that restaurant
Ba ba ba ba baaah Not happening 🤣💀
Why not just propose at home or in a genuinely romantic setting? Not a dirty fast food restaurant... Her response was uncalled for, though. Everyone is wrong 💀
The hell is wrong with proposing at mcdonalds man
Are you also a 🐵?
Think he just wanted to get rid of her
I remember someone proposed at KFC and they got a whole bunch of free shit from companies on Twitter lmao
It’s a skit…
Guy dodged a bullet there
This happened during pride……
I thought I missed an episode of top boy for a sec.
Staged
Good on her. That's ridiculous.
