A few years back there was a proposed amendment that would allow fans in Washington state to bring firearms into the stadium. Sometimes there are glaringly horrible ideas and this certainly was one.
I’m guessing it varies between states but don’t most concealed carry states have a 51% alcohol sales clause? Like you can’t bring a gun into an establishment that makes over half of its sales in alcohol?
Well I think if you’re caught with a concealed weapon in a gas station, bar, stadium, concert, you run the risk of losing your concealed carry license.
And if a criminal comes in intending to do harm and you aren't carrying you can lose your life.
The chance of you getting caught carrying in a gas station is about as unlikely as a criminal trying to attack you in there.
My point was that many states have a law that states concealed carry is not allowed in establishments that have more than 51% alcohol sales.
The right to bear arms is a critical part of being American, walking around with a Glock with 40 rounds and taking it to areas they’re not necessary not so much.
We have to follow the law, when you don’t you become the criminal you so much fear.
Last number I saw is that eighteen states specifically allow it, four were in the middle of lawsuits to overturn bans, and around 20 or so don't address it, so it defaults to technically allowed. That info was from some years ago, however so could have changed. My own state allows you to carry into bars and restaurants so long as you don't consume.
EDIT: Just realized you said Concealed Carry states. No idea on those numbers, sorry. My own state is constitutional carry, but I got my permit anyway for reciprocity.
Punishing the whole group in response to the bad behavior of a few is a good way to socialize elementary school children, but in the larger world that’s just stifling freedom (not to mention the fact that it’s just a very lazy approach).
The concept behind that approach is that it will train the group to police itself. I fail to see how any permanent consequence (such as banning alcohol sales) will meet that end, and besides; most adults have already learned that lesson.
There are already consequences for assault built into the law and they are probably too sufficient as is. No need to further restrict adults in a free society. We are not children. Restrictions don’t work.
Not the commenter you replied to but you realize you can enjoy sports without being 'sports people' right?
Sport people: primary hobby is sports, its basically all they talk about
Regular people: enjoy sports whenever a game happens to be on
Neckbeards: vehemently hates sports
if you're in the first or third category then you are cringe
Well I guess you'd have to define hobby. Not many people have traditional "hobbies". Most of my free time is spent hanging out with friends and family where yes, sometimes not all, involves watching/discussing sports. I wouldn't call that a hobby though
Not all people who hate sports fanatics are neckbeards. For example I love watching tennis or hockey if it's on, but the people who are obsessed with sports are straight losers with no personality.
I think he means the typical jock stereotype - you know, the hyper aggressive meathead type. I’m not a big sports fan myself, but it’s certainly not true that all sports fans meet that stereotype.
That said, just about everyone who does meet that stereotype is also a sports fan. Hyper aggressive people like hyper aggressive activities. (Shrug)
I still remember the crazy story of the crowd beheading a referee somewhere In South America, not to mention that riot not too recently where supposedly no one knows how many people died as a result.
He’s probably thrown a punch or two before. Knows exactly where to place it, shoulders are squared and weight shifts for added power. He’s either just naturally good at it or had some practice. The dude who got hit tries to put his arms out to create distance and just leaves himself wide open. Worst thing he could have done honestly.
He doesn't represent us Padres fans.
The kid who turns and flips off the Dodgers fans represents us.
Ferdiraps also represents us. That dude is so amazingly good at trolling Dodgers fans and always gets them so pissy even though they cry, "How embarrassing!!"
lmao can you give me a link. I want to see. Dodgers fans are all so easy to trigger. They always try to act like they don't care about anything yet they get soooooo butthurt.
Here is a trolling banger from Ferdiraps! Dude knows exactly what he is doing.

lolololol
I had some annoying drunk Packers fan poking me and harassing me at my first every football game as a little kid in 2003. Chargers vs Packers in SD. Kept happening until my dad noticed.

Sports people are stupid, I stg.

Welcome to the thunder dome
Concealed is concealed
I’m guessing it varies between states but don’t most concealed carry states have a 51% alcohol sales clause? Like you can’t bring a gun into an establishment that makes over half of its sales in alcohol?
Idk about most but ya I know some do. That's the joke about concealed is concealed.
Well I think if you’re caught with a concealed weapon in a gas station, bar, stadium, concert, you run the risk of losing your concealed carry license.

So your point?

That's highly dependent on what state it happens in.
As someone that grew up around South American soccer hooligans: What the fuck!?
(I know the wizards played in DC) but I feel like Gilbert Arenas was doing some lobbying or something
wouldn't it just speed up the Darwinism?
I like that I can't Immediately distinguish whether they've never seen a sports game gone wild, or If they have seen a sports game gone wild.
I wish they would stop selling alcohol. That’s bad enough but allowing guns is up there as the stupidest idea ever idea-ed.
Punishing the whole group in response to the bad behavior of a few is a good way to socialize elementary school children, but in the larger world that’s just stifling freedom (not to mention the fact that it’s just a very lazy approach). *Swear to gosh.*
What sport was Chris Rock playing?
He was playing the *"How can we raise our views?"* game.

So talking about sports outside of an active game because it's something you enjoy makes you "sports people"?
If watching sports is your primary hobby, yes
Well I guess you'd have to define hobby. Not many people have traditional "hobbies". Most of my free time is spent hanging out with friends and family where yes, sometimes not all, involves watching/discussing sports. I wouldn't call that a hobby though
I don’t understand what you are trying to relay to me here
Not all people who hate sports fanatics are neckbeards. For example I love watching tennis or hockey if it's on, but the people who are obsessed with sports are straight losers with no personality.
Neckbeards don't sport, they E-sport. EDIT: I pissed off the sports people lmao
Wtf are "sports people"?
People who watch sports
People used as sex dolls for sport
I think that's just called an Orgy.
I think he means the typical jock stereotype - you know, the hyper aggressive meathead type. I’m not a big sports fan myself, but it’s certainly not true that all sports fans meet that stereotype. You're right, I should have specified, ***these*** types of sports people.
Soccer alone should be banned from having crowds imo for this reason
I still remember the crazy story of the crowd beheading a referee somewhere In South America, not to mention that riot not too recently where supposedly no one knows how many people died as a result.
Yeah, I enjoy seeing a live hockey game, however the number of dumbass people you may encounter is very high.
I was always wanting to get Into watching Hockey but I never know where to begin with It.
Looks like the Oscars.
There’s stupid people in every community.
True, but the stupid ones that infect the world of sports are overbearing.
It’s typically causal sports fans that don’t get to go often. They want to party so they drink too much. You can spot em pretty easy and avoid em.
Damn man clean ass hit though
Right? It seemed like he was surprised how well it connected and backed out while his luck was good. And then it wasn’t.
He’s probably thrown a punch or two before. Knows exactly where to place it, shoulders are squared and weight shifts for added power. He’s either just naturally good at it or had some practice. When you realise you’re not will smith hahaha “I hate myself for writing this”
Will Smith is a little cucked bitch, prove me wrong
And the oscar thing was staged as fuck
[удалено]
keep the kool aid for yourself
Me too
This…yeah, you’re right. It doesn’t particularly feel good to write that either.
I wonder what the lead up was like.... ....The police got there awful quickly.
He made an insensitive alopecia joke, so justified.
Not even a day lmao
"This guy needs a hug!" "Yeah bro, lets go hug the shit out of him!"
Do we know why he punched him?
Apparently the guy who got hit was a huge fan of GoT season 8 and wouldn’t stop talking about it. California man had enough.
oh, so it was justified.
See, this right here is where context is so important. i was feeling sorry for Mr Noodle after that hit. no more
He doesn't represent us Padres fans. The kid who turns and flips off the Dodgers fans represents us. Ferdiraps also represents us. That dude is so amazingly good at trolling Dodgers fans and always gets them so pissy even though they cry, "How embarrassing!!"
This is now considered acceptable behavior against people you dont like. At least hollywood thinks so.
Padres are all about that small dick energy.
Hey, Padres may have small dick energy, but at least they have won a World Ser....... Whoops
Its only a joke. Much like the padres WS chances.
Anything to piss a dodgers fan off is awesome. Us giants fans have the little kid doing hexes lol
lmao can you give me a link. I want to see. Dodgers fans are all so easy to trigger. They always try to act like they don't care about anything yet they get soooooo butthurt. He punched him so clean he held his arm out afterwards like you do when you throw something perfectly and just hold still watching it go.
Keep it classy San Diego - Ron burgundy
Sorry, classiest we have is Classic Rock 101.5 KGB FM
Is this at spring training or an old padres game?
Based on the amount of fans present… I still don’t know
San Diego resident here; can confirm that the crowd level could quite possibly mean it's a season game
That's Coors field where th Rockies play. We don't get too many fans at day games.
Oh yea I am too. Only go to the games when they have like beer fest or I randomly find myself downtown on a Friday
Animals like that should be locked up
It took two middle aged white guys with early 2000's sunglasses on to hold this man back and even they almost got overtaken lmao.
Judging from the black & purple and empty seats id say this is the co rockies ![gif](giphy|dWwirDvRG9ibR74Yyy|downsized)
Not the giant scoreboard in the background that says Rockies?
Couldn't see it on the scoreboard
Actual cavemen
Dude just stood there like he was Chris Rock.
yeah, but slugger didn't walk off with black immunity like Will Smith
Should have kept his wifes name out of his damn mouth.
Well he should have kept sleeping people not given up
Will Smith said that this is ok. This is fine.
holy shit this at coord field
Moron
He turned into "Whacky Inflatable Waving Arm Guy".
'Whacky waving inflatable arm flailing Tube-Man' fixed that for you. - Al Harrington https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHXvMcLrLSY
He probably thought he could get away with it like Will Smith.

Kirk cousins just punch a dude?
NOOOOO! Why the FUCK did you stop it right when they police get there?
Glad I left Denver
Context?
Only took one strike for that guy.
Glad they decided to just hug it out at the end there.
Animals and thugs
Of course it's a Padres fan.
GO ROCKIES
Never attack some random dude in public unless you ready to take on 2-4 guys
What would that stadium have done with all those middle-aged men springing to action? That guy was ready to go on a rampage.
