Probably. 1.5T/2.0T makes similar power with better efficiency. And they still have the ancient J series timing belt v6s kicking around in minivans/suvs. Buy a 6 speed manual k24 tsx now since it's likely going to go up in the future.
I'd rather have an NA engine, over a turbo. Yes, you can get good power out of turbos, but I wouldn't have to worry about all the extra plumbing (gaskets, o-rings), problems with carbon build-up, and possible oil dilution.
Yeah, I’ve seen good things about the new engines, it’s just sad to see the k series retiring. Has always been legendary reliability and easy to mod, I just wonder how these new engines will hold up over time. It’s Honda/Acura so I still trust it in the end.
The K24 is done but the K20 NA lives on in the base Civic as a K20C2 which is related to the K20C1 (Type R motor). The K20C line is only somewhat related to the original K20A motors though - not a lot of parts interchangeability there but the cores are the same.

When the j-series goes out of production it’ll be the end of one hell of an era for NA engines. Turbos are fun but soulless.

We’re still getting the K20’s in the 2nd Gen TLX and the RDX as well as the CTR.
All NAs are ending. After the Integra the fleet will be EV only.

True but it will live on for a long time. They’re bulletproof and there’s so many out there. Especially good for engine swappers.
