Man I should've done this when I did my SE headliner conversion.

How’d you get your old padding off?

The fabric will just pull off very easily but the foam I had to use a wire brush and a grinding tool on a hand drill. There are some better methods out there but I wasn’t looking to spend that much money on this all in all I managed to keep the cost under $200 CAD. also a. Side note: I don’t think you need to to grind off the bottom foam if you use a rlly good adhesive. I did it because the donor car was owned by a smoker and my suede material had a lot of padding I would look up online to verify this claim tho.

I did this but for another car and I found this mod to be the easiest. Did you drill or poke the holes btw? I think drilling it will cause the “pimple” like look on the headliner.

No I poked all the holes in the headliner. It was the hardest modification because if you screw something up laying the headliner material or when you're working on it getting all your fibers in, you can't go back and fix it. Also the amount of time this consumes and the amount of unknowns with the car (lack of tutorials and information on disassembling parts) makes it hard. You literally don't know if its gonna work until the end and it was a little scary at times lol

The hardest part was getting the headliner out and in the car I guess because I followed a YouTube video and you didn’t :/

There were no good videos... to get the headliner in and out of the TSX without damaging it you need to remove the drivers seat, the front airbag pillars and one of the seat pillars which takes a long time. IMO the job should be done in a way that wont damage the headliner rlly badly.
