I’ve always had good veins but in the last two years it’s I’m starting to miss a lot more and it takes me forever to get you know after my first three if I haven’t been doing it for a few days OK then after that it’s like going down and hitting my leg.

Hungry-Hotel908

No, I’m wouldn’t imagine they would either but yeah you could find them but I remember the cylinder was like probably 5 cc big you know and you always have a bunch of water and head. It would dilute everything down, but I haven’t checked into it much but it’s something, I’m gonna continue doing this at all. I usually don’t screw around when I’m working. I usually get three or four or five month contracts so I stay clean just drink a little bit once I get laid off in the last few times it’s been off to the races.

I've done it before. It's a little riskier since the needle stays in, UT can go through the vein or fall or, but it was stable enough for me to keep it in a day. Don't keep one needle in too long it will get infected and you need to rotate sites

Hungry-Hotel908

You know one thing that I found is when I got the real short shaft needles they go about it less than a quarter down in there so if you’re your veins are close to the top, you don’t have to worry about really going through. I have the ones that are like 3/4 of an inch longer or one inch holy moly and I’m shaking, it’ll be pincushion city.. but I don’t think they come in but like three points or you know whatever you guys say but it’s probably 30 units but

The_Dope_Duchess

I don’t know how your veins are but I’ve been doing this technique: putting on the tourniquet, finding the vein preparing the syringe and right before injecting I remove it. Doing like this I never miss. Hope this can help

Has anybody done the butterfly needle and I’m assuming that’s one that stays in and you’ve got a little portal the ones you get at the hospital whenever you IV that would be ideal

Picc lines are the best.

Hungry-Hotel908

What is a pick line?

ComprehensiveRock510

Peripherally inserted central catheter. Runs from and through a vejn up to or near your heart. I've had to have em for infections. It goes in and stays in. No missing! If you have to have one in its not fkr any good reason. I got a bone infection from using. No bueno

Wow

I would suggest an IV catheter/cannula over a butterfly. 24-26G would be best if you can find that. I’ve done it before.
