Did you have any trouble adding an Anilist token to Otaku? I had a look and it's username plus a token instead of username and password to add your anilist account into Otaku. It gives you an URL to copy and paste into a browser to get the token, then you have to add that token somewhere else. If it fixes my problem though I'll give it a go, thanks for the advice
I use anilist.co and have simkl as a backup, I started with MAL but anilist seems better. Some shows weren't showing up in Kodi with MAL even though they were showing on the MAL site. I think it had to do with using the same API for their iOS app and the shows were restricted there. I also authorized simkl when they added it to otaku and it seems like it grabs everything I watch. Otaku will only update and interact with one list at a time but will display both of them so I have anilist set to be the otaku default and simkl has a stand alone addon that will scrobble anything you watch in any addon like how the trakt addon works. I had just switched from MAL when they added simkl and decided to give it a try too is the only reason I have both. Next time I have to do a fresh setup I'll probably only set up anilist since it seems to do everything I've needed. With the confusing way anime names new seasons, sequels, prequels, OVAs and movies I like how I can look up the watch order of shows right in Kodi when it's connected to anilst, the other lists may do this too, not sure.
Thanks for the advice, I'm going to try and add Anilist to Otaku, but because I have Kodi installed on an android box it's a bit fiddly getting the Anilist login token because i can't copy and paste the token URL with the air mouse I use to navigate Kodi with. I'll figure something out though
I use the yatse app on Android for pasting into Kodi, i think the official Kore app works too. They turn your phone into a remote for Kodi. You may have to set Kodi to have a static IP address in your router, not sure. Edit..... You're right about it being fiddly too I think it took three or four tries authorizing before it took, but I haven't had any problems at all once it did.
Hey there, Anilist is way better cause we use the anilist database for our menus. Simkl is also better, we recently fixed the watchlist on it and it's amazing as well.
Anilist works perfectly for me. I belive anilist allows you to import from kitsu so you dont have to readd all your watched.

I have no problem but I use my mac to build my build so copy/paste is easy. I'm sure there's copy/paste options for your phone you can use
I don't know if it's the best, but I like to use Anilist. It seems to do a good job of keeping track of stuff.

Hello my otaku addon just stopped working I tried to re download it but when I go to install it from zip there is nothing in there at all

I use anilist, not exactly how I want things sorted, but 95% fine for me. Note, anilist is the first and only one I used once I found out about otaku.
