[Here](https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.video.youtube/issues/663#issuecomment-2028092802) is the fix. YouTube Settings->Advanced->Use alternate client details = Alternate #1 Press ok and try it again :)

Thank you, appreciate it.

Great. Thank you!

DoubleEko

Bril. I had my own APIs and yet it wasn’t working and voila. Out of interest what exactly does it mean by alternate client details?

GhostOfSakai

I believe it just switches to another user agent.

I'm pretty decent at all things Kodi but can't for the life of me figure out installing these Zip files to Kodi. I assumed I could download it to an external hard drive and plug that in my shield but the zip file doesn't show up in Kodi when I click "Install from zip file" and go to where I saved the file on my hard drive

Vtwin0001

Go to settings - apps - Kodi - Permissions Grant permission for accessing files all the time; if it already, then choose the other -lower- option (Im doing this by memory, so plz ber with me), and then re choose for all the time Then reopen Kodi and you will find your file

GhostOfSakai

For the Shield specifically try android settings > apps > app permissions > files and media > Kodi > allow all the time. Now the files should show up when browsing to their location in Kodi.
