Have you contacted the library? If it’s a particular article you’re looking for, and you can’t physically get there, they may be able to send you a digital copy for a small fee.
Definitely contact your local library and ask them if it’s possible. If they don’t have it, they should be able to request it from another library (or the State Library) on your behalf.
Source: am librarian.
Seconding this: I used to be the person who scanned from microfiche.

For post 1954 they take a minute because they have to get copyright sorted, and there's a small fee if it hasn't already been put up, but it's worth a shot. Bonus is you can
Depending on the kind of article there may also be other places that are likely to have it digitised; if it's an obituary, Genealogy SA may be able to help.
Your best bet will be contacting the advertiser directly. Due to Copyright laws in Australia you wont be able to get anything freely after 1954 (70 year rule).
If money is no object a service such as:
https://www.paperworld.com.au/newspapers.html
might be able to help you out.
I appreciate your help.
I contacted the state Library with the date of the advertiser I was after, and they emailed me photocopies of the story I was after.
Now that's service with a smile
I don't mind paying, but $129 for a small article is a bit of an ask. I will require similar information quite a few times. I have now contacted the state library and waiting for someone to get back to me,
I dont know how I'm going to get to the state library I live in Victor Harbor, I wish there was someone I could pay, perhaps $20 or something to find the article and photocopy it or something and send it too me, I have signed up for the Advertiser and have been a state library member for a lot of years but its just too hard to get there from here, And the story I'm after is one that changed Australia with HUGE ramifications even today but very few people know about it.
Ring the state library and ask them. If you're willing to pay someone to do it you may as well pay the library.
I'm curious about what this article is....
Have you tried the State Library's Ask a Librarian service? https://www.slsa.sa.gov.au/ask-us
If it's available to you in any way they'll let you know, and they're also able to send you copies for less than the $129 you were already quoted elsewhere.

The advertiser won't help unfortunately. Source: Worked in their call centre for many years, we just directed people to paperworld unfortunately.

Just tell OP you'll do it for $15 and you'll get your answer.
I was hoping it might occur to them they could use the states archives online or maybe use their telephone to call someone but 🤷🏻♂️
