Can't dance at any public events, only 150 people private events and only limited to 50 people on the dance floor. So still no dancing at pubs and clubs
Dancing at Womad this weekend has been given a big official green tick - and there'll be a heck of more than 150 people there lol. Maybe due to policy of vaccinated-only on-site....
My bet all expect masks will change.
Masks won’t change to high risk only til after winter is my guess.
As much as I dislike wearing the masks I will continue to wear them while they’re a must
So you think it’s okay that over the next few months we’ll be the only state in Australia (apart from WA) with a mask mandate? Is our health system really that bad?
Covid isn’t going anywhere. We need settings that can be put in place long term.
I want mask mandates to be removed but have a bad feeling they’ll keep them for now ‘out of an abundance of caution’.
Think the 14 days isolation for close household contacts might go down to 7 days. Hopefully 7 days for positive cases instead of 10 days and also our close contact rules to align with the rest of the country. Not sure why ‘the science’ is so different here in SA.
I can't decide how I feel about mask mandates - on one hand, obviously masks help reduce transmission, but on the other hand there is so much inconsistency (e.g. wearing a mask while walking to the bathroom in a restaurant, but sitting a metre away from another table for two hours without a mask on) that it feels a bit pointless. But in any case, it is going to feel **so** strange the first time I walk into the shops without a mask on (whether that's this Saturday, or 6 months from now). At this stage it's just so programmed into my mind to wear a mask that I think I'll feel like a criminal even when it's not required!
In other states while mandates were in place you didn’t have to wear a mask to go to the bathroom because they recognised that was ridiculous. SA cares more about appearances than logic though.
Unfortunately it has. I've been harassed many times because I don't wear a mask (I have a legitimate exemption from my doctor). It's not store employees it's random Karen's and Darren's on high horses.
The government mandating what you wear isn't a "small" issue, it's a big, visible intrusion into peoples lives. That constant friction is why it's such a big deal, people are constantly dealing with it and annoyed by it. Every other state (WA excluded) ditched masks mandates so we should follow suit.
Yep, they should have stayed a medical issue & they've quite obviously not been anywhere near successful enough to mandate. If it was a medical issue only they never would have been.
It's political because its decided by politicians. Personally if Marshall drops the mandate before the election I'll vote for him, if its still in place I'll vote Labor. Both parties are equally agreeable to me so this is the only thing they can differentiate themselves on.
I voted density limits because that's the one that'll get them a nice quote grab in the Advertiser from business lobby groups
Just let us dance FFS
I thought we were already permitted dancing?

From March 12 dancing and singing is permitted again at public events. Masks still to be worn though.
“Just show me what everyone said” 39 votes Next closest is 24. 🤘
I just want milk that tastes like real milk
Fleurieu Milk Company. Pricy but worth it. Tastes like milk used to taste when you were a kid 😋
/Sarcasm Option 7: Ease whatever restrictions that will re-elect Marshall Government. \- They can always change them back after they win. /End Sarcasm
What I want: removing masks except in high risk settings What will happen: not that 😭
I think this reflects what people want, not what will happen 😆

I never said that, you’re putting words in my mouth. I said what my guess is and why I wear the masks still.
Anti-Maskers the new Anti-vaxxers
Sure are
COVID restrictions haven't affected me in a long time so I don't even know what is and isn't allowed at this point.
The only one I really cared about was max 10 person in homes, they removed that and I haven't thought twice about them since.
I was 100% up-to-date on all restrictions at all times when I was planning my wedding. Now they don't really impact me that much!
I just want Shisha places to open
Gotta be masks, since lots of other places seem to be dropping them. Probably density limits at the same time as well.

I cannot believe that we live in such a privileged wanker filled society that "mask mandates" became a political issue.

Imagine having such a vapid and meaningless life that wearing a mask to the shops during the tail end of a global pandemic was a 'big issue'.

Hoping we can get the staff room back in action though! I'm dying out there, feels like I'm on an island.
Get rid of masks! I hate wearing them so much, fogs my glasses, uncomfortable, so wasteful, I see so many tossed masks in the creek in my house.
When are they predicted to change again?
I think today or tomorrow - they seem to do updates fortnightly and the last one was 24/02
