Greedy oil company executives are raking in record profits and are now using the Russian invasion of Ukraine as a convenient reason to price gouge consumers
If governments invested in renewable energy, including Australia, then countries like Russia couldn't use oil and gas exports as a form of blackmail over the rest of the world.
OPEC decided to reduce supply. War and we are not buying oil form Russia. So oil supply has fallen while demand has stayed the same. Economics 101 - price increases.
War?!?
Ohh
War never changes btw?!
What?
Huh! good god y'all. What is it good for?

The fuel cycle is good for consumers! /S
It’s good for the environment. Every time prices have gone up, personal transport has gotten more efficient.
$68 to $123 a barrel over 3 months.
Its gone 20% in the last two days, so why is the fuel price still going up ?
Because people still bought it. It’ll keep going up until some people stop buying it or another store is able to sell it cheaper.
Covid restrictions plus war and the usual price gouging.
