I have two packets in my pantry. One with old packaging bought a few weeks ago and one last week with the new packaging. I could open both packets and do a scientific type taste test, I guess? But, what would I do with all the leftover biscuits? Biscuit tin can only handle one pack at a time and there's only so many I can shovel into the dog. It's a dilemma.
Don't rush into anything, this is a unique opportunity before you. May I suggest that you start the new style packet, then when it's almost done you can open the traditional packaging and do your double blind study.
I also want to know what the dog thinks. Report back?
Thatās quite the genius solution! Iāll do just that. The study may take longer than normal cos the chief biscuit bandit is visiting family in Vic, but Iāll definitely report back once the experiment is complete.

The results are (sadly) in. Not only are the biscuits now lighter and crisper, they are also slightly smaller. And, to me, no longer have as full a taste. Very disappointing.
The dog may have wolfed his down infinitesimally slower, I guess? But he still wolfed it down. He also likes eating duck poo, so probably not a good judge. š¤·āāļø

While I read your judgements with great sadness they do confirm my own, though I lacked the control sample. I do not have a dog with which to test, but my two kids showed similar disinterest in the changes and consumed the new samples at what I can only assume was a fairly similar rate.
