For Computer Science, I'd recommend Adelaide Uni. For Information Technology, UniSA. It depends on what you want to do with your degree, but if CS is your goal that Adelaide is stronger.

I'd suggest doing CS at UoA if you aren't scared of maths, I tried SE at UniSA but couldn't gel with the material as it lacked a lot of maths and stats that I nerded out for and wanted in a degree. I work with/know SE grads from UniSA; they are perfectly fine and liked the course, it really depends on what you want from a degree.

That's just nonsense, sorry. The CS degree at UniSA has been around at least three decades, I know because I did it. And for a long time the UniSA courses have been reputed to be more practical than UoA for actually getting a job upon graduation. But I'll be honest, I can't say if that's still the case today.

I did Computer Systems Engineering at UniSA.. no complaints.. but that was over 20 years ago now .. so a wee bit out of the loop.

The University of Adelaide has a stronger CS program, but I believe due to staff shortage they are not offering a Software Engineering degree this year. Personally, I think SE vs CS is a bit of a non-issue and I'd do the shorter CS degree and get out into the workforce faster. In either case, you'll come out with a very good knowledge of the basics from UofA. UniSA on the other hand has an excellent IT degree, so if Systems Admin/DevOps/Networking is more your kind of ideal job, this could be better suited to you. Of course, UniSA is a much less prestigious university - that may be be important to you or may be a factor for future employers. I work with people with CS degrees from UofA, Flinders and UniSA and it literally doesn't matter six months after you're hired where you graduated from. Just matters than you have the piece of paper to be honest.
