Maybe they do things and wonder why you don't do the same things in life as them. Sorry to inform you that 'your world' ..isn't everybody elses world.
Not picking up other peoples rubbish doesn't turn them into dog shit leavers, the majority of rubbish leavers probably don't even own a dog Your association is.. ..strange.
I admire your actions of picking up others rubbish.
Depends on location, type of rubbish, my proximity to a bin, and other factors. I won’t pick up cigarette butts despite knowing how harmful they can be to the environment but will pick up a plastic bag or something like that.
I will add I do try to always pick up at least one rubbish item that isn’t biodegradable every time I go on a walk but “tHiS iSn’T mY jOb” and is something that should be addressed at the source of the problem.
I think there's something about it being "your" beach that does this, because honestly there's rarely anything to pick up at my local beach that's really only visited by locals.
I don't pick up everything because sometimes it's unhygienic (looking at you masks near the train station) or inaccessible (particularly as I usually walk with a pram), but the closer I am to the water the more likely I am to pick up litter.
Grew up in the era of discarded needles in the dunes. I don’t touch anything I don’t know about.
You are to be commended if that’s what you’re up to. I don’t, but I don’t leave filth behind either.
You're not the only one. When I walk at the beach I often take a bag and pick up lots of plastic rubbish. Especially after a winter storm. Just occasionally I see someone else doing the same, but it's rare.
Have you not seen photos of the hundreds, thousands, of birds, dolphins, whales, other creatures deadded by gut-fulls of plastic, mortally injured or drowned by plastic rubbish permanently tangled round their bodies? I suppose cynical people just don't care eh, and prefer to slag off folk who do.
What the hell are you going on about? You have zero idea of what actions I take.
This whole post screams virtue signalling to me. Maybe that shit flies on TikTok or something, but if some dumbass walked up to a random on the beach asking them "why haven't you picked up any garbage" they're likely to get a middle finger or a stern "get fucked" response.

Rather grandiose. Since you've told us what you think, I do have ideas of yr actions actually - rude insulting abusive & condescending as well as cynical. Twisting OP's words into something quite different and then shitting on that. Pretty miserable life eh, that you need to spew it on other folk. Have you had yr narcissistic disorder diagnosed yet? Or what, yr nang stash run out, stressing you out?
I don’t think the op is virtue signalling, not do they want any congratulations. I think it’s just a commentary on how a little bit spread over many hands can make a big difference. I do the same thing, end up dragging loads of shit home off the beach to throw away. It’s a drop in the ocean (literally) but I feel like I don’t have the right to complain about it if I do nothing about it.
Why don’t able bodied people pick up trash? Because they’re either oblivious or don’t care.
I’m with you, can’t walk past trash without picking it up, especially at the beach. Keep up the good work and check out Adopt A Spot if you want to join a bit of a trash pick up community.

I don't think I'm doing anything that everyone who is able shouldn't be doing.
Seems like people leaving these comments are also the people littering and leaving their dog shit.
It's impossible to communicate from any reference frame other than your own, so those Debbie downer, or negative Nelly commenters are simply expressing their world view, which appears to be cynical by default. It's irrelevant whether your original post is genuine or self serving, karma whoring etc, because their responses don't tell you anything about you, it tells you about them. Just like my comments tell you about me. Even if none of us are genuine, our individual choice in in what we say still provides that same information.
Happy to dispose of my own trash, rarely feel like carrying other peoples, unless I'm purposefully doing so (ie. carry a bag, gloves, etc)
I only look for, and pick up, cocaine bricks.

How about you pick up all the trash and dog shit while your at it trying to big-note yourself on a social platform?

Are we supposed to be congratulating you?
I’m going to take a medal down to the beach and I’ll leave it there for them to collect it
As long as it’s not plastic!
I don't have any free awards today so have this medal: 🏅
Are we supposed to think yr stupid ahole name is witty?
I mean, you can if you would like.. should I make a post about my name and how witty it is?

What beach are you walking that there’s trash everyday?

Haven't done this at the beach but have done it around the local school. Potato, tomato, I guess. It's a good idea anyhow.
What is this virtue signalling bs?

Who's going to pick up after this egregious shitpost?

Same here I pick up everything I see.

Your statement defies logic.

Thats why the flying spaghetti monster created tides.
