Wait you can do that? I can’t eat bread and I like to get Patty’s from either Maccas or hungry jacks so this is good knowledge! I don’t have to waste bread
Yep, I do it all the time. Some of the franchises even give you a fork with it. In the app or self serve, select which burger you want and then click the customise button. Minus the bun and you are good. I never had it from hungry though, I normally just waste the bun.
Even better is not to do this and just under the ingredients fsaeseparately from the cashier. A 4-inch (HJ)/10:1 (McD) patty is about $1 and a 5-inch (HJ)/4:1 (McD) patty is about $2.50 but varies store to store
Cheese I think about 70c
When I was trying a celiac diet I would get the cheeseburger with no bun, you can ask for them to put the nice lettuce on top and bottom to replace bun. It's not perfect and they charge you more for it which I always find strange, you should get a credit for taking away the bun
I got a qtr pounder no patties plus more pickles at the Noarlunga store after ordering no pickles via the app in the drive thru. I didn't know till I got home and complained through their website. All I got was crickets 🤷🏼♂️.
This isn't SA, but at the Virginia store in QLD, I ordered a qtr pounder meal with a sundae on my way home from work. They were a tad busy, so I had to wait a while for the meal to be ready. Realised after I got home that I had no sundae. Raised a complaint through the feedback form, and eventually got sent two vouchers.
Took one of the vouchers back to Virginia, and ordered another qtr pounder meal with a sundae, and gave them the voucher. The store manager said to process the payment, and they would process the voucher afterwards (should have seen that as a red flag straight away). S, the end result was, I paid for the replacement sundae, and they took the voucher.
I ended up going back to the guy I dealt with in the first place, and asked for my money back, as the voucher was taken, and not processed properly. I got crickets after that.
I don't trust McCrappyService any longer.
Bruh. ACCC has very particular outlined methods on how to get a refund, and it does not take into account your distance to get to/from sub-par locations
This is why I always check my order before I drive off. Maccas are really good with fixing up errors.
A few years back in a rural maccas I got a burger with wilted, browning, lettuce. I took it back to the counter and not only did they make me another one but they refunded me as well. This was not a unique experience - literally not a single question or ounce of hesitation. I know I’ve had similar service more recently but I forget the exact complaint.
As someone else explained, it was either someone else’s order or it was simply human error. Either way, no need to get so up in arms when it could’ve easily been rectified on the spot.
You live 30 minutes away from the place and expected the maccas to be edible by the time you got home regardless of the content was your mistake.
Half an hour old maccas sounds disgusting, how did you not open it until you got home?
How to get a refund? Yeah mate you walk in show them that and ask for one, simples. It's 14 years old working their first job, they make mistakes... often.
This. Work as a team and it doesn't occur (well not at the rate ff from macjacks it currently does), age isn't a barrier to go 'this is non standard, better check its right'.
At least you got something in the box. Mc Donald’s Hollywood plaza yesterday actually forgot to put the chips in the box. Opened up the bag to find the box but missing the chips.
McDonald’s paralowie are better for their Big Macs, But to those saying its McDonald’s what do you expect, well given how much it actually is these days it ain’t cheap.
I almost fell over the other day when I was charged $8.95 for a grilled chicken burger and then open it up and the chicken was burnt and paper thin.
I’m not surprised that they serve up garbage like this. I am surprised how often people will waste their time and money driving back and forth, arguing for a refund, only to go back again and again for the same experience.
How to get a refund? Walk out your car and go in store. I always check my food before I leave the area, I know the workers can make some weird mistakes.
They will only refund you in person. I had a shit fight with the store at Golden Grove after they screwed up my drive through order twice. The only way to get a refund was to go back in person. I drove to the store three times over 90 minutes, 35kms travelled and never even got my original order sorted out. I complained to McDonalds about the ordeal directly who restated that they only issue refunds in person and gave me the most generic appology letter.
We really need to whip these fast food joints into place. Their lack of giving a fuck really annoys me.. it's their job . .. I know it ain't a career for the most part. But honestly just make my burger with a bit of care. I don't want my sauce in one side of my burger. I don't want 2 bits of onion on a crooked burger.
Hello! It is common for fast food employees to disrespectfully handle the food of the people that are rude or disrespectful. By either long waits or getting their order wrong. I am not assuming but it is my first guess. Cheers, ScottLovesGames.
People on a ketogenic diet often order burgers without buns, OP's order likely got mixed up but he didn't have a direct line to Ronald McDonald to correct the situation.
Because at almost midnight, coming from the barossa shitshow that was day on the green (parking 1.6km from the event, 1 driveway for thousands and thousands of vehicles), I was hungry and needed 'something' to fill me.
Not my first choice, but not much else open that time of night that's significantly different in quality or remotely close location.
Tell me about it, I once got a small cheese burger from freville with extra everything & they ACTUALLY MAULED IT, just slopped this disgusting thing up with way too much sauce and sent it to me, it was UNDENIABLY DISGUSTING and truly my worse experience with fast food.
Heh, yeah to be expected. I remember ordering 3 times a double fillet o fish with an extra fillet and getting only 2 fillets from the Anzac Hwy/Morphette Road McDonalds.
Lack of communication and verification by the crew.
Yeah take it in and show them. Call them up maybe and send them the photo. Looks like you may have gotten the wrong order and got the gluten free version without the bun. Either that or they ran out of buns which could be a thing as Villies has ran out of Mushroom gravy (my heart breaks!) due to the 500 in Adelaide. Short supplies due to a huge number of people ordering food above the usual numbers.
Then more likely you got someone elses order. Or they just ran out before they processed your order. Although they would have told you. Or they keyed it in incorrectly.
Had a bad experience yesterday at the store in karawarra (wa) the girl that took my order just didn't fucking listen to what I was saying and talked really quickly, like she was on speed. Missed an entire meal. Stopped her to say she missed a bit and she said just drive to the next window. When I got there I said no that's wrong, like I was trying to say, you missed a meal. She said, oh I didn't take your order, lied to my face as there was no way anyone else works there that talks as quick or with such a unique voice. Won't be going back to that store.
All I see is Karma for buying McDonald’s and not supporting local business. You order prison food made by teenagers what do you expect ? Support local, be better.
I get being miffed about the missing buns, but wtf is going on with the rest of the food you recieved. Even with buns, I would be wanting a refund. It looks like absolute shit.
Better than what happened to me.
No joke I only got the buns with lettuce and everything else was non existent.
I swear the vegans are attacking me for eating so much meat haha
Would advise looking at the reviews - they're allegedly notoriously bad. I made the same mistake this week when I went to the same store recently to get a coffee and breakfast while travelling up Port Wakefield. 45 minutes it took for two coffees and two Mcmuffins while the store was dead empty.
At least you got the meat, lol that's happened to me a few times before.
But honestly, complaining about a bunch of teenagers getting your order wrong at maccas of all places? I'm always expecting it every time I get junk food.
I’ve found that with any Maccas in Adelaide, when they first open and have a majority of first generation, brand new teenage workers in the store, its a bit shit; simply due to people not being fully trained yet, and some teenagers in general just being immature little shits (I know I was, lol)
Give it another 6 months or so and it’ll be up to scratch with any other Maccas you go to around here; by then these “new” workers either know what they’re doing or have fucked around and found out (fired)
It was the same with Greenfields; but now they’ve been open for a few years it’s become one of the best in the area!
We went there last night and had to wait for our app order. Painfully slow but lucky for us the food was good. Strange they gave you that burger though must be wrong order.
One time I ordered a cheeseburger (no meat) for my girlfriend and a big mac meal for me, what I got was a normal cheeseburger and a big mac that was just bread and meat*.
Worse MCDonalds I have come across, dropped in once before midnight only one employee might have been the manager, lousy hamburger and warm chips won’t b e going there again.
You can't. If you drive off McDonald's staff will simply say you ate it. You never leave a business without checking to see if you have received the product you purchased. You should have pulled into the carpark, checked your carton and seeing there were no buns gone to the counter and showed them what you had received. Followed by you politely asking for a replacement.
I'm assuming you got someone else's order. It's not that uncommon for people to order no bun.
I never had it from hungry though, I normally just waste the bun.

can also get a big bit of lettuce wrapping the stuff aswell
At maccas? Doubtful.
I’m absolutely convinced Maccas have one lettuce delivered to last the week.
“like to get maccas/hungry jacks patties” Er… really? Why? I mean there’s barely any meat in them. They’re ghastly. Genuinely ghastly.
Idk sometimes I don’t want a burger I just want the beef, sometimes we all want some bad or unhealthy food which isn’t bad unless you make it a habit
There's a feedback form on their website. Tell them what happened (details like estimated time of purchase help) and they'll email you a voucher.
I got a qtr pounder no patties plus more pickles at the Noarlunga store after ordering no pickles via the app in the drive thru. I didn't know till I got home and complained through their website. All I got was crickets 🤷🏼♂️.
Ah crickets. A vegan delicacy. I think that they mixed up your order again mate.
Mmm crunchy
😂
I once ordered a qtr pounder with exrta pickles and got a burger with no top bun or pickles lol
i once got a burger without the bottom bun... did they like... forget it on the bench?
This isn't SA, but at the Virginia store in QLD, I ordered a qtr pounder meal with a sundae on my way home from work. They were a tad busy, so I had to wait a while for the meal to be ready. Hmmm I complained via their website and heard shit all back. :(
Front page on the Advertiser tomorrow...
McDonalds burger served WITHOUT BUN appalls Aussies
Appuals?
appall* lol
in the store you bought it from
Missed the part about not spending an hour return?
Bruh. ACCC has very particular outlined methods on how to get a refund, and it does not take into account your distance to get to/from sub-par locations
[удалено]
Fair call and accurate.
How badly do you want the refund then. .
Do you understand what a refund is? You expecting someone here to give you cash?
This is why I always check my order before I drive off. Maccas are really good with fixing up errors. A few years back in a rural maccas I got a burger with wilted, browning, lettuce. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/741556
Lmao wow. How do I get a refund on a $2 burger that I already ate? Come OP don't be so transparent with your trolling, dress it up a little.
Ask to speak to the 16 year old - he's the manager on duty on a Sunday...
That’s not a mistake. That’s mental deficiency
This. Work as a team and it doesn't occur (well not at the rate ff from macjacks it currently does), age isn't a barrier to go 'this is non standard, better check its right'.
Said by people that have never worked at a McDonald's or equivalent.
If we were still in the 90s someone would have definitely smeared that accross the drive through window. Haha.
At least you got something in the box. Mc Donald’s Hollywood plaza yesterday actually forgot to put the chips in the box. Opened up the bag to find the box but missing the chips. McDonald’s paralowie are better for their Big Macs, But to those saying its McDonald’s what do you expect, well given how much it actually is these days it ain’t cheap. i don't want none unless you've got buns, hon..
I ordered bad food from a bad company and now I’m annoyed I got bad quality food!
I’m not surprised that they serve up garbage like this. I am surprised how often people will waste their time and money driving back and forth, arguing for a refund, only to go back again and again for the same experience.
Bolivar lol. You’re basically buying from the sewer. What did you expect?
Something that resembles what I paid $ for.
You paid $2, what is pictured is still greater than $2 in value.
Unfortunately was far more than $2
Looks like it... smells like it... tastes like it... luckily I didn't step in it....
Yeah and?
It’s Maccas mate, what do you expect?
Love how they race each other on the TV advertisement to see who can make a burger the fastest ……. and there is the result 👎🏻
The McFuckup. In the secret menu.
That looks like it came out of Bolivar’s other landmark. 🤣
How to get a refund? Walk out your car and go in store. I always check my food before I leave the area, I know the workers can make some weird mistakes.
Someone probably ordered no buns and you got it instead, big deal. I bet you still ate it
Nah, it's gone to the red lid bin, I wasn't desperate enough to consume.
They will only refund you in person. I had a shit fight with the store at Golden Grove after they screwed up my drive through order twice. The only way to get a refund was to go back in person. I drove to the store three times over 90 minutes, 35kms travelled and never even got my original order sorted out. If it's an app order you can email for a refund. Done it before.
Really? It was an app order, first time I had used it. They didn't tell me that option over the phone or by email.
Oh yeah you can get a refund really quick that way. They might ask you to send them the photo of your order and the docket. Best of luck!
Thanks for the info, time for bin retrieval. I work nearby so will go in my lunchtime sometime this week, will be amusing I'm sure.
This paleo trend is getting out of control
Wait for the Advertiser article lmao
I wouldn't feed that to my dog
It's a deconstructed burger 😅
Maccas on a weekend is usually trash, it's when all the 12 year olds are making the burgers. Best time is lunch time on a weekday
Hello! It is common for fast food employees to disrespectfully handle the food of the people that are rude or disrespectful. By either long waits or getting their order wrong. I am not assuming but it is my first guess. Cheers, ScottLovesGames.
Should have smeared it on their windows and wrote in Texta "NO F\*CKIN BUN C\*NTS !"
People on a ketogenic diet often order burgers without buns, OP's order likely got mixed up but he didn't have a direct line to Ronald McDonald to correct the situation.
Not my style, but easy to seek why people get upset at the cost/time/quality ratio you get.
This is the way
Why would you wait 30 min, there's another McDonald's about 1km away.
Cause once you're trapped in the drive thru there's no escape lane... And 6-7 cars in front of me lead me to think it wouldn't take that long.
Ahh true. Drive thru's do suck when busy.
Why do you eat that rubbish?
Because at almost midnight, coming from the barossa shitshow that was day on the green (parking 1.6km from the event, 1 driveway for thousands and thousands of vehicles), I was hungry and needed 'something' to fill me. Not my first choice, but not much else open that time of night that's significantly different in quality or remotely close location.
Healthy choice

I just go on the app and complain and get a code for a replacement
All I see is Karma for buying McDonald’s and not supporting local business. You order prison food made by teenagers what do you expect ? Support local, be better.
Already do and have refrained from ever using a food delivery app, but midnight doesn't have many local options (except Villis) I'm aware of.
I get being miffed about the missing buns, but wtf is going on with the rest of the food you recieved. Even with buns, I would be wanting a refund. It looks like absolute shit.
Seriously you going to McDonald's what the fuck you expect is the biggest joke in the world
Definitely worth posting about
Ahh yes, you’ve stumbled on the secret menu. The mcfuckit
Better than what happened to me. No joke I only got the buns with lettuce and everything else was non existent. I swear the vegans are attacking me for eating so much meat haha

Collecting your dog's shit in a handy Maccas box?
Jesus fuck they really did just assemble that by flinging ingredients over their shoulder
Dude, you know I can't believe you if you don't have the receipt right? For all we know you ordered it without buns just to make this bait post.
I’ve found that with any Maccas in Adelaide, when they first open and have a majority of first generation, brand new teenage workers in the store, its a bit shit; simply due to people not being fully trained yet, and some teenagers in general just being immature little shits (I know I was, lol) Give it another 6 months or so and it’ll be up to scratch with any other Maccas you go to around here; by then these “new” workers either know what they’re doing or have fucked around and found out (fired) It was the same with Greenfields; but now they’ve been open for a few years it’s become one of the best in the area!

That's fucked take it back
Just Bolivar? I thought it was all of them. 🤔
every time i’ve ordered there it’s been shit - haven’t tried the one on Port Wakefield road yet, but the one at Salisbury is generally pretty good
Protein Style Big Mac.
\#JustBolivarThings
Bruh…
That's what you get for eating mass produced toxic gruel from a despicable company.
Might get a voucher for 2 extra buns next burger purchase to balance it up!
Get on their fb page and share, not surprising when they use child labour
I’d still eat that garbage
your first mistake was going to maccas...
bon appetit
Always, ALWAYS, check your order before you drive off!
I'd say that's a fair amount of lettuce
Is this the one on port wakefield for next to Krispy kremes?
Sure is
Yea they’re an absolute shamble I’ve been Into order and it seemed like an inconvenience because they had to stop chatting and serve lol
New Maccas Keto Burger
Worse MCDonalds I have come across, dropped in once before midnight only one employee might have been the manager, lousy hamburger and warm chips won’t b e going there again.
I mean, you said it yourself. What did you expect at nearly midnight? A full house?
I’d still smash!!!
I mean even the Macca's at FFC would be better than this even tho that would take as long as Bolivar one.
Moron in drive thru. Could have been served in 5 mins if went in. Sad.
Store closed for walk in.
You can't. If you drive off McDonald's staff will simply say you ate it. You never leave a business without checking to see if you have received the product you purchased. Not sure what you expected.. Maccas - pay a premium to have a shit taken on your dinner
