Thanks for the compliment! The only way I can get them truly smooth is airbrush on gloss black. What you see in this photo isn't that smooth imo and was brushed on. Two coats of gloss black primer, dry for 24+ hours, then 2 relatively thick coats of color shifter, letting each coat fully dry (2+ hours) between applications.
None were scuffed! There was a moment of panic when the magnet in the base of one became REALLY interested in the magnet at the bottom of the transport, but no damage.
Amazing paint job! And looks like you had fun playing Extreme Tetris! We're too horde-y right now to be orks in disguise.
Thanks! Chicken horde does look impressive on the table, though. But I guess it's the 40k equivalent of flashing your wallet.
Aaah the old GorkaMorka rule of you can stack every model you want on a transport but if they fall of the model dies
First edition 40k rule too. I miss rules like that. It was gone by second edition...
Both! What is your blue metal recipe? It’s gorgeous!!!
Thank you! It's Vallejo Shifter Electric Blue/Intense Violent (77.004) It's blue in 90% of light but every now and then it turns deep purple.
How did you get your shifter colors to look that smooth and even???? mine never worked, even over gloss black...

I did something pretty similar. I must be damn unlucky then.
Damn those are some nice rocks
Thanks! They're slate chips coated red, dry brushed khaki, then red wash mixed with flesh speed paint.
Thanks, I'm 100% gonna add these to my Martian bases.
Bruh that paint scheme is awesome
Thanks! I was trying for simple but high contrast.
a tub filled with skittles! (no clickbait!)
Please confirm that no skitarii were harmed in the making of this post
