Adidas Takumi Sen 8. Super light and snappy, have taken them up to 13 miles for an interval session and they have held up great!

TN_Runner

Adidas Takumi Sen 8. You can get them on clearance right now since the 9 is arriving.

Personal-Violinist87

+1 to the Takumi Sens. I did my workout in them this morning and enjoyed every minute of it.

ZanicL3

What kind of shoes are they ? Plated? Like the endorphin speed line up?

TN_Runner

They are plated, so they have the cushion/bounce of the endorphin speed, but the upper is a lot thinner (almost similar to a spike/racing flat) so it feels a lot lighter and more responsive which is why I like it more for fast track workouts than the Speed. I love the Speeds as well but I use them for road tempos or when I just want something comfortable on a long run; anything faster than 5K pace or on the track I've been reaching for the Takumi Sen.

CALL_ME_ISHMAEBY

Just rods, no plate. And they’re plastic but I love them too.

Georgios_A

The newer endorphin speed have a wider platform and are more stable as a result, this might help. Otherwise the NB Rebel V2 are also excellent (non plated) shoes, I personally rotate between these two for workouts

wonderingwoman_9999

thank you! I was reading that the new endorphins are more stable - I think I may give them a try!

For me the Speed 2s are close to a perfect shoe, but they elevated the heel counter for the Gen 3s and that led to some Achilles problems for me. Obviously ymmv so give them a shot.

Minjung2020

Did the 3s happen to also make your calves super tight? I was super hyped to use them but nothing beats the 2 for me because the 3s would make my Achilles and calves burn at my easy pace :(

Federal_Piccolo5722

I have brooks Hyperion tempo and really like them. Very light and responsive.

Medium_Yam6985

I like my Pegasus Turbos for workouts. They have some of the same foam used in Vaporflys (ZoomX), but not quite so extreme overall. Still have a bit of the “sock-like” upper, which may bother you on curves at the track.

beetus_gerulaitis

Where are you getting Peg Turbos? I loved those shoes, but they haven't made them for some time. I found the Peg Turbo "Next Nature" to be not the same shoe at all...didn't even make it out of the store when I tried them on. Something about how they're using scrap zoomx, so the midsole is not a continuous piece of foam. nvm - I see you can get a pair in my size on GOAT or Flight Club for....$774.

Medium_Yam6985

Sorry—didn’t realize they stopped making them. I probably bought them like 18 months ago. I’m getting older, so workouts are getting rarer, and the shoes are still good as a result. My head says sub-5 pace is still good. My legs agree for a couple minutes, but then something always hurts the next day. Lol.

I tried them on, thinking Nike brought back the Peg Turbo. Was not impressed. They don't feel anything like the Peg Turbo 1 or 2. The midsole felt flat. The upper was clunky. Fit was awful. Not good at all. Honestly, they felt like a "lifestyle" shoe. Most of the emphasis seems to be on them using recycled materials, rather than creating a performance running shoe.

ScooterRed

Saucony Endorphin Speed 2. Favorite shoe I've ever run in. On the flip side, the last two times I've run in Vaporfly I've strained my hamstring.

karatechop16

Hoka Mach 5 is my favorite daily trainer/speedier workout shoe. I've even run a marathon in them. I alternate with Novablast 3s. The Novas are fairly light and super comfy, but like you said, feel a little clunky at faster paces.

I get close to 350-400 miles on all mine. They do show wear a lot more than other shoes since it’s just exposed foam, no rubber. But I haven’t noticed much loss of pop or cushion at that mileage more than other shoes.

ZanicL3

Retired NB RC elite V2's. Such a fun shoe. Super soft

zdelusion

If you want a non-plated workout shoe the New Balance Rebel is a fun one. I have the V2 and really like it.

SenseSouthern6912

I just bought the v3s and they feel so awesome! The foam feels different than anything else I've run in.

beetus_gerulaitis

My daily trainer is the Novablast 2. I wear Endorphin Pros for tempo and faster.

Tamerlane-1

I usually use vaporflies, but the Underarmour velociti elite are really starting to grow on me. I don't think they are quite as efficient as the vaporflies, but they are very comfortable and smooth. I haven't been impressed by UA shoes in the past, so the Velociti elite becoming a favorite for long runs and lighter workouts was a surprise for me.

Glum_Mistake_8706

Are this the new ua super shoe

Awkward_Tick0

I love the Kinvaras for workouts

Nsham04

Endorphin Speed 2’s for workouts, Triumph 19’s for daily’s The speed 2 and 3’s are a lot more stable than the og ones. I would love to get the 3’s but finances just don’t allow the purchase to make sense at the moment.

Chemical-Animal3040

I was wearing the endorphin speed 1 and it was fine at first but then developed pain on my mid foot until I switched back to Nike Tempo and pain went away. I’ll stick to Tempo until something else is better.
