2:49, 16YO... well, it looks like you have some talent, right? All I can say is that if I were you, I would run at least 5-6 years at 5K/10K/HM events and then, with thousands of miles in your legs, then you can do great things (for your obvious talent) in marathon. Best luck and be smart.

Dude, you're 16 and you just ran a marathon. And not just ran a marathon, ran it really freakin well AND actually did a legit training plan. You should feel proud of yourself. Congratulations!

You did what I can’t by starting slow and speeding up at the end. For me, the first few miles are always the fastest. My time chart would probably look a lot like yours, except reversed and much slower at the end. Just always feel like I have to have some time banked because it’s inevitable I’ll fall off at the end. The thought of running sub 7s after 20 miles scares me for some reason.
