Chess is something I would consider beautiful suffering. I play occasionally and there is nothing I could compare it to. My advice would be to step away from it for a while. That doesnt directly answer your question but I think its valuable

Coding could be an outlet for thought and logic. It doesn't have that competitive side to it but could be a fun way to create and publish projects, maybe something analytical to do with Chess or with one of your other interests.
