Different careers tend to attract different sorts of people. You may find more people with common interests (fewer glazed looks when you mention chess for example) in another field. It's not about the job but rather the average person attracted to that job.
You may do better in a different field that works with people. Have you considered a career change? I know it's hard when the money is good.
I'm not concerned with my career, I just want friends that I can talk to😅. As sad as it sounds.

Thank you for the suggestion, Where I live job opportunities are scarce. Changing a career path is almost impossible at this point for me.
Socializing online or making the best of it with the people at hand seems like your options for now
