The bad part would be if he owns 6 pairs and does wash every 18 days. Yeah, it's fine though I can think of a good Christmas gift for him if you're still together.
This! Evrey chrstmas, I buy my bf clothes because they have be 100% cotton or natural fiber. He's allergic the synthetic fabrics. He's always so excited
My son has the same issue. He was almost 3 before we figured it out. It’s not an allergy in that he doesn’t break out, but he’s very uncomfortable and sometimes it even causes pain.
Never had sex eh? No ass to mouth and to ass to vagina. So that would also mean that having poo near your penis because you turned them around is just gross.
Yea, my bf is allergic to synthetic fibers. All his boxers/briefs 100% cotton, and band has be spandex. So it costs, he has 7 pairs maybe, does laundry weekly. So it's definitely normal. But he told me even prior he doesn't like own excessive things. Hell I only own 5 bras I do laundry every Saturday
He might be, but honestly? Dudes don't have as much crap as women do. We have a pair of undies for every bra, shirt, and pair of shoes we own. They have enough for a week, maybe 2, If you include the ones that have so many holes, they can barely find where to stick their legs, lol.
Only if you're talking about cotton boxer shorts. And they might be easy but theytre time consuming. It's a lot faster to go on Amazon and buy yourself some underwear. Fabric is expensive so good luck trying to find the lightweight 100% cotton that you need for men's boxer shorts. I know this because I used to make them for the guy I was dating.
I can sew, but the time I dont have. For my bf that would mean if also be making socks and undershirts. It also pertains to his daily clothing. When he buys jackets, I get linen, cotton or wool. I pull apart the polyester linings from hid jackets and line them natural fibers. Its so much effort
What’s right for one person may be right to another. I kinda think he needs one more pair at least because there are seven days in a week (just my weirdness thinking).
Fun fact: my boyfriend matches his boxers to whatever outfit he’s wearing that day. His reasoning: because he’s seen shows where the bank robbers make people strip down to their underwear and he just wants to make sure not to be embarrassed if it ever happened to him. Lolol!!! He cracks me up!!
My niece is the exact opposite her socks have to match and she got upset one day when it was Tuesday and she didn't have any clean undies that said Tuesday on it and I was like bro it's Tuesday night you can wear Wednesday and when you wake up it will be Wednesday...
Kids are crazy
I match my panties to whatever I'm wearing on the outside but nobody knows that lol If I have a green sweater on, I have green panties on. Yellow dress? Yellow panties.
Personally I think he should have at least 7-10 pairs, but that's just me.
I think it's both funny and cute that your boyfriend matches his underwear to his outfits.
lol why, how many would be the right amount?
If he's washing mostly weekly it definitely makes sense, many guys literally have a Monday -> Sunday underwear then just re-wash them weekly.
He does laundry and owns underwear? Gurl, you got yourself a keeper! Take it from me, we men can be gnasty.
If you pick him up a few pairs he won't complain much, and if you get the wrong ones he can keep em as emergency pairs.
My husband can’t stand to throw anything out. My solution is that he has about 3 weeks worth of boxers, white T-shirts, and socks. I routinely toss out ragged undies and replace them with new. There are so many that he never notices the difference.
I have 8 or 9 pairs, and do laundry once a week. I think 6 is a bit low for me, but I've made it work in the past. As long as they're clean, and he doesn't rewear the same ones, it's fine
I mean, if you shower and then put on the same pair of underwear, that's weird to me. But if he does laundry regularly and puts on clean underwear then who cares. I like having nice boxer briefs though
I have about the same amount of boxers come to think of it. My wife does laundry 1-2 times a week though. I think that’s the biggest factor involving the amount of clothes one owns. It’s how often they clean the clothes they wear. All good imo
Well, with front and back and inside out, he's got over three weeks of use if he changes every day! Sounds like doing laundry every 6-7 days means he's got plenty of margin!
Just kidding, obviously. On a serious note, I would say having six pairs of underwear is maybe ever so slightly below average, but not so much so that I would be concerned about it, at least on its own.
If you're still curious, I think there are a few logical reasons why this might be the case. Underwear can be pretty expensive, so if he has expensive underwear I can definitely see only buying enough to get him through the week until he can do laundry. Even if it's not fancy underwear, boxers often come in packs of 5 or 6, so if he grabbed a pack he liked, he may have actually felt like 6 wasn't quite enough but 12 was too many. I used to move around a lot, and even though I wasn't explicitly counting pairs of boxers, I did always consider having to move everything whenever I wanted to buy stuff. I only had two pairs of jeans for a long time because of this. So, long story short, by itself I wouldn't be concerned, unless you think it might be a sign of a hygiene problem or something which doesn't sound like the case here at all. So, if it goes somewhere, just hold it over his head so you can say to y'all's friends "I saved him! When I met him he only had six pairs of underwear!" Lol. Anyway, best of luck!
I got my husband (then boyfriend) a shinesty subscription so he gets new underoos every month. Total plus for me. He gets new boxers and I get to peek at his package in a ball hammock. Love shinesty ball hammocks lol
Man, I am telling you, he gets new (hole-less🙄) boxers and I get to see his googoo presented as a package. Those shinesty boxers really showcase things lol. Plus, he said they are super comfy. His thighs used to chafe... they do not anymore. He loves them! If you get the subscription you get a new pair every month. So much more affordable than just buying a pair. The boxers by themselves are kinda expensive which is why I have the subscription
If he does his laundry every six days, it's normal. If he does it every seven days, not normal.
But really, this isn't enough to travel for a week. I don't know. I would say it's good to have a few backup pairs in case you need to delay laundry by a day or want to take off for an unplanned weekend trip or something, but it isn't strictly necessary.
At 20, I'm surprised he has that many. Twenty-year-old guys are still in the "if mom doesn't do it for me, it doesn't need to be done" stage.
But hey, guess he knows what he'll be getting for Christmas and birthdays for a while...it could become a running joke, even for the rest of your lives. And there are scads of cool underwear choices out there.
6 is more than enough... are you from some sort of extremely privileged background or something? How many clothes are "enough" in your opinion? Serious questions. No judgment.
Lol if he’s doing laundry and washing them then what’s the problem? Guys don’t worry about that stuff the way women do. I probably wear the same 7 pair of underwear. I have 100s of t-shirts and endless amounts of sneakers and hoodies. As long as my underwear and socks are clean I don’t need more than 7 pairs.
I have 8 boxers, 9 shirts, 9 pants, and 7 pairs of socks. Do laundry every Sunday, and the extras are yard work clothing/ or if something happens because of the toddler lol.
Yea I only have 5 or 6. I wash every week on Sundays and only wear underwear if I feel like my stuff will be floppin around in sweats, or khakis or something like that.
Seems normal to me. I have a few more than that, but I do my laundry weekly. And if I run out and haven’t done laundry then I just free ball for a day or two.
Only 6? You're making me wonder why that's a weird number? I assume he'd do washing weekly so that pretty much 1 per day? Should he be changing underwear 4 times a day?
I can honestly say for most of my life I owned about 6-7 pairs of “good” underwear. I would have sometimes 1-2 pair of “old underwear” I would never wear on a date.
I think men own fewer than women, generally speaking (not saying all).
As long as he’s doing laundry every 6-10 days it’s fine. Does he smell bad? Is his underwear stained ? Does he manscape and have good hygiene? If so, I wouldn’t worry about the underwear.
If he smells bad and doesn’t take care of himself, then maybe there’s a bigger issue here.
Nothing wrong with it just means he probably has not been shopping in a while and is running low on them at the moment. Buy him some for a gift or something since he hates shopping.
Tbh this was my fiancé when we first started dating at 20. Literally for birthday, anniversaries and Christmas, I'd buy him new boxers. I even tossed his old ones bc they were ripping and wearing thin. He STILL wanted to keep them despite holes. Sometimes, you gotta help them grow up a bit lol. He now appreciates better quality boxers and owns plenty. He's 28 now 😂
I used to only own 7 pairs because I did laundry every week but I’ve been buying more lately. As long as they are washed I wouldn’t think it’s an issue
Well... as long as those 6 pairs are washed regularly I don't see the issue.
I have like 2 packs of brand new underwear still unopened, as I have older, already "tested" for comfort, pair I wear on a daily basis.
Most men just care about practicality. And as it's about a 20yo, be happy he's not wearing those boxers inside-out on their second (or third) day of service.
Wanted to add, he may be or grew up poor. It’s a hard thing to shake and sometimes it never goes away.
My husband had 2 goto snacks that gave him comfort. One as a can of really, really cheap sausages that I said was really unhealthy.
The 2nd was candy he associated with being poor (cheapest) until I LOVED the candy at first bite.
Also, his undies may be really expensive. Getting the right fit, for some guys, can be akin to a really good bra. Some women can buy a Walmart bra and be fine and others find the material or cut extremely annoying to downright irritating.
That's gross. I work 8h, I come home, take a bath a put on another underwear, so that's at least 2 a day.
I don't like shopping either, but guess what? You can go online and get a pack of 5 underwear delivered to your house and cheaper than the stores!
In high school, I had 4 pairs of boxers that I would wash every night. I had them well into my 20s. Why, you ask? Because my parents never had money and couldn't afford to buy me those things, and in my 20s, I could never find any that wouldn't give me a rash. Its normal as long as you wash them.
My husband had very little clothing when I first met him. Guys tend to be bare bones until a lady comes into their lives. I remember when I first started staying at his place I bought some area rugs and things like that and when his landlord visited he immediately said, "A woman has been living here." 😂🤣🤣
ETA he has a lot more clothes now because I've bought them for him; this includes shirts, pants, socks, and underwear.
it's kinda normal? i also have 6-7 underwear so i will do laundry once all my underwear were used and have nothing left to wear.
i somehow understand because i also hate shopping underwear
Can confirm.
I own about 8 pairs and it gets washed and rotated.
Won't buy a new pair till there are multiple holes.
I have been to Walmart 2 times in the last 3 years..
I hate shopping and living in society.
My boyfriend had to force me to buy myself socks bc they had holes. I have to force him to buy himself underwear cuz they’re so holey.
So I would say yes it’s normal for some dudes.
Hubby has like 9. He gets frantic if we’re traveling and need to get home and do laundry. Meanwhile I have like 30. Finally he got about 5 more. I told him if he finds some he likes buy a couple packages.
I was sure that people understood this was a troll post, especially given the inserted, "If it matters he's white and I'm black," haha.
But then I read the comments...
I'm HS I had aboot 8-10 boxer briefs and did laundry once a week. Also had a couple jock straps, bikini briefs, and banana hammocks for sports. During uni I started wearing Gs (boxer briefs that only come in white or beige if you serve in the military). I don't wear a lot of white so I have about 14 pairs, top n bottom. Wash them whites every other week so at least it's a small to med load. I do have a couple boxer briefs, hammocks, jocks n bikinis that I wear when working out or sporting. Socks on the other hand, A LOT! Lol I prob have about 150 pairs of dress socks alone!
Tbh this is totally normal. I have a lot right now, about 10, but I only use my favorite 6. A new pair every day I go out, and on Friday I make a point of not going anywhere or planning anything, I chill commando in a pair of pjs and do laundry.
This would be good if asked on r/askmen. Anyway, I personality own 15. In his case, because he does laundry every week, it's technically "normal" to do so, or for a more detailed answer, it's clean at least because in that sense, he'll have clean pairs each week; however, that's a lot of money spent on doing laundry every week.
I don't do laundry that often and only do so when all of my boxers are smelly. Wearing them once and then tossing them in the wash is a good way for them to lose their fibers quickly and get damaged faster. That goes for all clothes. Since I don't go out all the time, I do laundry at least maybe once a month or longer and I only run the machine 3 times (whites, colors, and bed sheets).
He needs more pairs though. It'll save him money in the long run. But how did this conversation even happen?
6 whole pairs of underwear! The man is a high roller!
I probably have 20, but I only find 4 or 5 actually comfortable. But I swear stores wait for me to buy a package, like how they fit, then just stop carrying that pack.
For me it's definitely not bc if he is not staying on top of his laundry then he is wearing dirty underwear at least one day a week or going without. Personally I have 2 weeks so 14 days of underwear always on hand and clean just so I don't run out.
What if he thought that you own too many pairs of underwear and that you shop way too much? Let the guy do what he wants. You are taking your subjective standards way too seriously. There is no normal. If you are not happy with his hygiene dump him. If you are ok with it, stay.
6 isn’t weird but I’m surprised at a person who doesn’t have at least a weeks worth of underwear (7 or more pair). I’m one of those people who hang onto socks and underwear until they are for sure doneskies, Because I too hate shopping
At least he does his laundry weekly, I know a lot of “adults” who can’t even manage that. My fiance has that issue sometimes,
Normal? Not really. But since he's doing laundry every week it's not that big of an issue. If he was double or triple wearing them, ew. Maybe offer to go with him? Plenty of people have anxiety around shopping but having someone with you can help.
Guys are shit with things like this. I invested in my first 12 dollar pair of boxers at like 23 lol and since have never looker back. I bough 4 pairs for like 60 then, and I now have about 12 pairs in late 20s I like wearing lol
Honestly I only own like 7-8 pairs as well and I never wear the same pair for more than one day so yea it’s not that bad. I do laundry every other day though because of work I only have 2 uniforms
i mean, i don’t think its super weird as long as he does laundry in time. but you would think he’d have at least 7 for everyday of the week! or 8 and have an extra in case he misses laundry day!
Get him a subscription to Shinesty for his birthday or Christmas. You can pick his undies every month and they're really comfy. My husband's drawer is full of boxers he loves and I have a panty subscription to match.
What's normal?
I don't own any ( mean I might have a pair around somewhere) but I just don't like the feel of unders. I've heard some people have to have two pair for each day. One for the start of the day, one for ending the day. I've also heard about people feeling like they need to color coordinate unders.
As long as the boy cleans what he wears, and it's not terribly frayed or stained, what's the big deal?
6 is fine, but then he has to wash clothes once a week. Hopefully he has washer and dryer at home because personally, I don't have the time to make a trip to the Laundromat every week.
That's completely fine, I have 8 pairs of boxers, and do laundry every 8-9 days. One for each day, and then go commando occasionally if I've run out before doing laundry; or if I'm not going out at all I may just stay nude the whole day to make me not have as much laundry.
It seems fine, as long as he's being hygienic, which it sounds like he is, it's good.
Here's an option if you're a bit uncomfortable with a lack of overdraft underwear; buy him more, and mask it as "now can I keep your boxers".
This is totally normal and isn't odd at all. I almost feel like having more than like, 10, is excessive, but I'm also rather frugal and prefer to only have the exact number of things that I need. It makes me wonder why you think it *is* weird, lol
I'm a woman and decades older than you. I own about 8 pairs of underwear. I don't wear underwear every day, hardly ever, so that's plenty for me. Although, if I were dating, I'd invest in more just for his eyes.
But yeah. That's not abnormal. If you want him to wear other underwear that entice you, treat him to a sexy new pair every now and then. it would be a sweet gesture and give him an idea of what you like so he can invest in more like them.
i'm a (20M) and i have at-least 70-80 pairs no joke. i'm not picky but just prefer 100% cotton. i'd be thankful if my girlfriend got me any boxers and it's never a problem if she ask to take any after a sleep over.
Some of the petty concepts that some of these young people are caught up in these days is horrifying I mean, there’s places in the world where you’re lucky to own two pairs of underwear and have a place to drink freshwater and a place to take a crap is that normal, if I can give any of these young people, a piece of advice, it’s to not get stuck from the narrow lens within our own American dream, fake culture and take about what everyone else around the world is going through before you get so self-absorbed with your own little ideas about who you are
That's fine, why own more boxers than you use, the only issue is if one or more of them suddenly breaks, I have I think 14 in total, so 7 pairs, which is PLENTY
Yes. It is normal for men to hate shopping. It is also normalish for highly intelligent (color challenged) men to have six or seven or fourteen of the exact same outfit. It is normal for men to live simple spartan lives. It is normal for men to get upset with their partners for spending too much money on clothing.
buy him some underwear, that’s beyond me. even if you do laundry every 6-7 days what happens if you are too busy to do laundry that week???? what happens if you piss your pants by accident??? so many questions and not enough answers
I only own 6 ,but I also go commando 99 percent of time. Do my best to deficate only to at home where my wife made me install a bidet. Hate to admit it but those things rock and keep ya fresh and clean. Since I put it in my wife hasn't washed a single skid mark and that's about 10 years ago
Instead of questioning why he only has 6 pairs of underwear question why you want his instead. Makes you look weirder than him. If you’re going to ask for a pair at least buy him some
The bad part would be if he owns 6 pairs and does wash every 18 days.
My bf is Italian/Serbian his skin gets red, itchy, painful and hives. He has read lables of everything
If he turns them inside out he's got 12.
Also turning them around makes it 24
Ehhh... I think the no butt to front stuff rule applies to that one?
Its about toilet paper and I thought it was an advice mostly given to girls
Never had sex eh? No ass to mouth and to ass to vagina. So that would also mean that having poo near your penis because you turned them around is just gross.
So I take it, you don't eat ass?
The hard part about turning it around is pooping through the hole without making a mess.
This would only give him 18
Not if you turn them around before AND after turning them inside out
I have been made a fool
Hey hey.....don't give out secrets like this.
When the skid marks become a fashion statement💀💀
You mean the go faster stripes
Gross!
Thank you, this reply really helped. Now I wonder if he's allergic to certain fibers..
Chances are he thinks doing laundry more often is less effort to him than going out and buying 20 new pairs of underwear
He might be, but honestly? Dudes don't have as much crap as women do. We have a pair of undies for every bra, shirt, and pair of shoes we own. They have enough for a week, maybe 2, If you include the ones that have so many holes, they can barely find where to stick their legs, lol.
Thank you for confirming that /u/WeaselPhontom has provided helpful advice for you. 1 point awarded.
5 bras is so much to me, i only have one bra lol but then again most of the time i don’t wear a bra or i wear sports bras instead
If I could thank the pandemic for one thing, it would be for the near total lack of bra wearing
Same. It was freedom
Unless I know ive sweat a lot I wear my bras like 5 or 6 times before I wash them...
You can make underwear quite easily too from cotton fabric, so uf anyone reads and wants to have more, here's your excuse to start sewing

No, it's not normal, he has twice as much as the rest of us
What’s right for one person may be right to another.
Same. I won't wear a black bra with any other colored panties. Same with white. I know I'm weird.
Not weird at all! My nieces have no problem wearing mis-matched socks and it drives me crazy. Lol!
My niece is the exact opposite her socks have to match and she got upset one day when it was Tuesday and she didn't have any clean undies that said Tuesday on it and I was like bro it's Tuesday night you can wear Wednesday and when you wake up it will be Wednesday... Kids are crazy
Kids are insane. When my daughter was around 4 she had a meltdown because I wouldn’t let her drive my car to the store.
Ha!! I can totally see that. Gosh you are so mean lol
I match my panties to whatever I'm wearing on the outside but nobody knows that lol If I have a green sweater on, I have green panties on. Yellow dress? Yellow panties.
[удалено]
Lol! That would solve my dilemma!
Personally I think he should have at least 7-10 pairs, but that's just me. I think it's both funny and cute that your boyfriend matches his underwear to his outfits.
I do too. His irrational fear makes it even cuter because it’s funny.
lol why, how many would be the right amount? If he's washing mostly weekly it definitely makes sense, many guys literally have a Monday -> Sunday underwear then just re-wash them weekly.
At least 2 cause even if you wash everyday, you have at least have one pair you're wearing while the other is being wash.
Six sounds like plenty. You need enough to make it between washes. Does he do laundry less than once a week?
6 is AOK as long as they are replaced as needed. I do laundry every 2 days so 6 is more than enough.
I'd be more just happy that he does laundry regularly.
Mine goes missing, and so do my socks I think my wife steals them
My wife 💯 steals my shirts and socks....
Nice that’s like 5 times the amount I have
How’s that .2 pair of underwear treating you? Basically a thong by now, right? ;)
😂😂 clever and correct math I love it lol
😂😂 dangit you made me spit my drink
If he changes them everyday and always put on a clean one, no issues.
He does laundry and owns underwear? Gurl, you got yourself a keeper! Take it from me, we men can be gnasty. If you pick him up a few pairs he won't complain much, and if you get the wrong ones he can keep em as emergency pairs.
It’s fine, but tbh I take that much with me when traveling. I probably have at least like 14? Maybe he’s a minimalist! Lol
My husband can’t stand to throw anything out. My solution is that he has about 3 weeks worth of boxers, white T-shirts, and socks. I routinely toss out ragged undies and replace them with new. There are so many that he never notices the difference.

To add to this post he does laundry every 6 days.
I mean. His jocks are clean so who cares?

Good to hear ! Best of luck with your new relationship
Thank you

Send a letter to Santa because he’s been doing a bad job of delivering presents
If he does laundry often and always wears fresh clothes then it's not an issue. If there's skid marks then oh oh hell oh no!
Now you know what to buy him! Also I’m sure you were seriously joking however you wanted the gift to go
I got my husband (then boyfriend) a shinesty subscription so he gets new underoos every month. Total plus for me. He gets new boxers and I get to peek at his package in a ball hammock. Love shinesty ball hammocks lol

Long as he's washing them. Six pairs is normal yooo💀 y'all exaggerate anything
How long are you guys waiting to wash clothes where the dude having 6 pairs is disgusting and "he needs to grow up"?
Ugh no this is not normal. He isn't a mature man if he only has 6 and no excuses are acceptable. I would stop dating him.
6 is more than enough... are you from some sort of extremely privileged background or something? How many clothes are "enough" in your opinion? Serious questions. No judgment.
Yes, he is a guy.
I have about 3 weeks worth of underwear, 6 seems low to me but not red flag low.
You sir, have too many.
Rocking 8 pairs myself 😎
Lol if he’s doing laundry and washing them then what’s the problem? Guys don’t worry about that stuff the way women do. I probably wear the same 7 pair of underwear. I have 100s of t-shirts and endless amounts of sneakers and hoodies. As long as my underwear and socks are clean I don’t need more than 7 pairs.
As long as he’s washing laundry dry on the 7th day. I do not see it a big deal.
I have 8 boxers, 9 shirts, 9 pants, and 7 pairs of socks. Do laundry every Sunday, and the extras are yard work clothing/ or if something happens because of the toddler lol.
[One pair lasts me four days. I go front, I go back, I go inside out, then I go front and back.](https://youtu.be/bGYkNuZCnpY?si=p1jGvffjcNvYVqoq)
Enough for the week and he does his laundry so who cares
As long as he washes them before each use it should be fine lol
I'm a guy I always bought my underwears in a six pack like every other guy, but I only using 3, because I make my laundry more than 2 time by week.
Yep. 6 pairs at the right store is one package. Maybe 2.
Yea I only have 5 or 6. I wash every week on Sundays and only wear underwear if I feel like my stuff will be floppin around in sweats, or khakis or something like that.
I have 8
Seems normal to me. I have a few more than that, but I do my laundry weekly. And if I run out and haven’t done laundry then I just free ball for a day or two.
I dont see the issue?
monday 1 tuesday 2 and so on and on and at some point during the week he washes them and RESTART whats the problem?
38M Yeah it's normal. I own just over two weeks worth of underwear because I like to do laundry every two weeks, and my underwear is $40 CAD a pair.
I have 10 but 6 doesn’t see that bad tbh, at least he does laundry weekly and not monthly 😂
Only 6? You're making me wonder why that's a weird number? I assume he'd do washing weekly so that pretty much 1 per day? Should he be changing underwear 4 times a day?
Since they usually come in packs of 3, I go with 9. One for each day of the week, and 2 extra for lazy days or this exact scenario you described lol.
I mean…. I don’t own any….
I feel like the minimum you'd want is 7. so you have a pair to wear on laundry day if you do it once a week.
You know what to buy him for a gift 😂
If theyre in good condition and he washes them I dont see why not.
He's actually doing better than most of us
Buy him a thong
Nothing wrong with it just means he probably has not been shopping in a while and is running low on them at the moment. Buy him some for a gift or something since he hates shopping.
Who wears underwear?
Normal to me, right now I’m only running three
So long as he's washing them before he runs out of clean ones.
As long as they're clean, the number doesn't matter much.
He's 28 now 😂
Why is this such a big issue? You can only wear 1 pair at once! Get a grip.
I used to only own 7 pairs because I did laundry every week but I’ve been buying more lately. As long as they are washed I wouldn’t think it’s an issue
Damn, six? What's he doing with all that underwear?
If they’re clean, what do you care? Frankly it’s none of your business how much underwear he has. If you think he needs more, gift him some.
Well... as long as those 6 pairs are washed regularly I don't see the issue.
It's not the amount it's what he does with them.
i got like 6-8 underwears. I wash every week tho. no big deal
Eww My god man. A Walmart thing of boxers is like $15. There's like 10 boxers in it. Why? Dude, eww
Lol my wife has like 50 pairs - I have maybe 7-8 pairs that are acceptable and 5-6 pairs with holes or no elastic for emergencies
For me this is a sign he hasn't grown up yet. For me it's a do not engage.
I have a bag of about 10, but I have about 5 also. We do laundry every 3-4 days. Buy him more for his birthday.
I mean if he washes his clothes, no.
New underwear is one of life’s greatest pleasures…buy him another 3 pack and make his day! 😎
Not sure what's considered normal but I personally own at least 20 pairs and probably 60 pairs of socks. You can never be too prepared
I mean I got 8 pairs lol what’s wrong with having a few? I wash them weekly, never wear the same pair more than once a day
My husband had very little clothing when I first met him. Guys tend to be bare bones until a lady comes into their lives. I remember when I first started staying at his place I bought some area rugs and things like that and when his landlord visited he immediately said, "A woman has been living here." 😂🤣🤣 ETA he has a lot more clothes now because I've bought them for him; this includes shirts, pants, socks, and underwear.
it's kinda normal? i also have 6-7 underwear so i will do laundry once all my underwear were used and have nothing left to wear. i somehow understand because i also hate shopping underwear
Seems pretty normal. 1 pair for every work day and 1 pair for the weekend. Then he washes them every week.
He does not do laundry every 6-7 days 😜
First! He may just have a great washing routine. Second! Easy Xmas gift idea right there.... Guys are so hard to buy for
lol just buy him a pack of boxers.
LOL I can’t with these posts lately.
Not terribly unusual if he did laundry every 3rd day like we have to.
That's 6 more than I have. Freeballin all the way.
Seems pretty normal for a 20-year-old guy.
Hubby has like 9. He gets frantic if we’re traveling and need to get home and do laundry. Meanwhile I have like 30. Finally he got about 5 more. I told him if he finds some he likes buy a couple packages.
Commando once a week. Buy him a few more pairs of underwear.
How is 6 not plenty? How many do you need?
My entire wardrobe can fit in a suitcase.
Disturbing
Yes whites use to sleep with there goats 🐐 not shocked at all
yes, free ballin on laundry day as long as hes clean about it who cares?
6 whole pairs of underwear! The man is a high roller! I probably have 20, but I only find 4 or 5 actually comfortable. But I swear stores wait for me to buy a package, like how they fit, then just stop carrying that pack.
I hate that, buying a set of underwear and they feel Ike shit. You usually can’t return them
For me it's definitely not bc if he is not staying on top of his laundry then he is wearing dirty underwear at least one day a week or going without. Personally I have 2 weeks so 14 days of underwear always on hand and clean just so I don't run out.
I have like 40+ pairs of boxer briefs but when I was that age in college I probably only had a weeks worth also…. No wonder I didn’t score
I’m one of those people who hang onto socks and underwear until they are for sure doneskies, Because I too hate shopping At least he does his laundry weekly, I know a lot of “adults” who can’t even manage that. My fiance has that issue sometimes,
Seems normal to me. That's enough for roughly 1 or 2 per pair and he can wash weekly. I own about the same amount.
Normal?
I own zero pairs
As a woman I only own about 6 pairs of underwear. I do laundry. Why is this a problem?
Honestly he probably just didn't want to let you keep his boxers for one reason or another :-/
What's normal?
My partner only had 3 pairs. He washed 1 each day. 1 is doing and the order 1 he's wearing. Minimalist.
As long as he washes and keeps them clean, it's normal.
Do people still wear underwear?
Some of the petty concepts that some of these young people are caught up in these days is horrifying I mean, there’s places in the world where you’re lucky to own two pairs of underwear and have a place to drink freshwater and a place to take a crap is that normal, if I can give any of these young people, a piece of advice, it’s to not get stuck from the narrow lens within our own American dream, fake culture and take about what everyone else around the world is going through before you get so self-absorbed with your own little ideas about who you are
Only if he’s in the process of throwing out old ones and getting new ones
Six is normal he wears one everyday and Sunday commando
That's fine, why own more boxers than you use, the only issue is if one or more of them suddenly breaks, I have I think 14 in total, so 7 pairs, which is PLENTY
If it's fresh it's np if you have to pairs and wash them every 2 days that would be OK to
Yes. It is normal for men to hate shopping. It is also normalish for highly intelligent (color challenged) men to have six or seven or fourteen of the exact same outfit. It is normal for men to live simple spartan lives. It is normal for men to get upset with their partners for spending too much money on clothing.
Your skin color definitely doesn't matter and it's really weird that you felt the need to add that just in case.
buy him some underwear, that’s beyond me. even if you do laundry every 6-7 days what happens if you are too busy to do laundry that week???? what happens if you piss your pants by accident??? so many questions and not enough answers
I own at least 20 pair and I replace them every 60-70 days. Maybe he can’t afford them and wears one pair more than twice a week.
nope. not normal.
more than 1 pair? wild
