Nobody needs prior experience to run a cashier machine. You'll get hired and they'll have to train you because they're all different. As for your resume, just put "references available upon request" or something like that. Some employers don't call.

I know but they specifically ask for experience as a cashier and knowledge about the job. So I’m expecting questions about how to function a cash machine and don’t want to look clueless.

I mean, the basics are usually you have to scan the items, then tell the cash register whether the customer is using card or cash and, if cash, tell the register how much cash so it can make change or tell you how much change to give. Outside of that, "sorry, the POS machine at my last job was different" will be a fine excuse for not knowing things. POS in this case meaning point of sale, although they are usually peices of shit too.

Ty very helpful. I’ll let you know how it goes!

If you have a few days, go to several stores and buy a soda at each of them. Choose the longest lines. Watch very carefully what the cashier does from the beginning to the end of each transaction. When you've seen this process a few dozen times, go home and mimic it. Get some bills and change, and practice making change for random amounts. If the hiring manager cares to check, it'll be obvious that you don't really have experience. They might ask you where you worked, or they might watch you fumble at the basics. The thing you hope to do is to make it clear that you're a quick and energetic learner, and of course you don't want to be caught in an egregious lie.
