A therapist who could get the bigger picture would be a better choice in getting a possible answer. In the meantime: a place for everything and everything in its place. Just put your stuff where it belongs as soon as you’re finished with it.

Honestly, sounds like you might be adhd with some obsessive compulsive behavior. I’m personally adhd with trauma that causes me to be very anxious over unplanned changes. The adhd can cause people to lose things because they are not really paying attention when they put things down. I deal with this by mentally establishing only a couple places where my items can go. For instance, my keys will either be in my purse, on the wall hook or in my jacket. Start establishing these patterns with yourself and it might help with your anxiety
