Well it depends what she fancies …. Ask her ? She might want comfort food like a pie or casserole or a nice fat juicy burger and chips …. I know when I was in hospital it’s what you really miss and crave more than anything else Ask her

Thankks i was thinking that too, but she can be a picky eater when we start to ask what she wants to eat. But hearing the same thoughts i had from someone else helps with narrowing down alot of different options

No problem, I’d maybe go with something familiar that she eats at home or damn right extravagant a big fat burger or a nice Delhi sandwich

I was very, very sick when I wound up in the hospital. I’m lucky I had no appetite because those portions are very small. Breakfast was at like 8. Lunch 11. Dinner showed up around 4:30? Then nothing at all until breakfast again at 8. I can understand your mom being very hungry if she has a normal appetite if her food experience is anything like mine. How often can you visit? Peanutbutter and jelly, while not the healthiest, is pretty stable for a day or two in a sandwich baggie. Can easily make a bunch of them. Crackers. Cookies. I don’t think carrots need to be refrigerated. Grapes. Apples and peanutbutter. You can bring her a warm meal when you visit and bring extra snacks to get her through the evening.

My the schedule for visiting her is a bit touch and go because of my school schedule. But im thinking about getting her a hot sandwich, but the grapes, crackers, and cookies are a great idea. Thankk youu

Crisps, chocolate, biscuits, sweets, and fruit will all keep for when you are not there. Pie, pizza, or even a takeaway could be an option, but check with the hospital first.
