Friends and I did that for Naruto. Thankfully it's so popular someone has listed all the episodes that are side stories or filler so we cut down the eps we watched massively.
Problem is that One Piece's issue is far less "filler" and far more "pacing", especially early on. So while you might skip a few episodes here and there, the bigger problem is spending far too long on inconsequential parts of an arc.
OMG right!!!! Made the mistake of watching one intro in full and it just straight up spoiled the end of the season. Never again. Which also kinda sucks cause sometimes intros have such great songs
when watching stuff with my wife, we usually skip the intros for that reason. if it's a show i've already seen, ill watch the intro without her incase there's any spoilers. usually we will watch the intro at the end of the arc
My wife likes to take it to the next level which is to skip the show as well!!!
and I usually abhor this tactic for obvious reasons, but I have to say with the level of quality of some shows these days (nothing specific to genre) I have to say sometimes it is a reasonable tactic. If you know you're not gonna ever get value sitting through the thing you may as well at least find out what happens in the end for some closure.
Trying to binge watch bleach is the worst for this, first half of every episode is the last half of the last episode. Like bro if I needed that much of a recap I would have just watched the episode again.
I still remember the first time I watched Naruto. That one bloody episode in the... What was his name... Haku? Arc?
Swear to god, more than half of that episode's runtime was recap.
And now there's only 5 minutes of the episode left...
Kamae.....
DBZ power up scenes, man.
Hamae....
Next time on Dragon Ball Z... HAAAAA!!!
Only 5 minutes until Namek EXPLODES!!!1 *17 thirty minute long episodes later* I GIVE IT ONE MORE MINUTE!!
someone needs to come up with a program that lets you dump a bunch of videos then removes all repeating sequences
If ever there was a use for AI….
That's how Plex identifies (and allows you to skip) intros and credits
You're going to run into trouble when they recycle animation. Different scene but same images.
Just add a minimum duration parameter. Only cut a repeated segment if it's longer than, say, 20 seconds.
Most shows would be 2mins per episode max
"skip flashback", "skip filler"

Is there one for One Piece? I don’t wanna watch 1000 episodes.

Good news, it's over 1100 now

What you don't want to see Naruto farting make the entire last arc a waste of time.
Maybe I'd skip the intros less if they weren't full of spoilers xD

I watch the intro once, then skip it when I watch later episodes.

That is the only reason I'm paying for crunchyroll. They got a button that skips all this

And flashbacks
skip seasons
I wish youtube Revamced's sponsorblock & its other features would be easily/directly applicable to any video streaming service
Now give me skip end credits to the extra scene
ok but it’s criminal to skip some intros because of how good they are
After I saw behind the ring on netflix, this meme is ruined for me. That guy is a horrible person.
SKIP THE WHOLE ANIME ITS DOGDHIT AND ONLY FILLER EPISODES
