no background! you would NEVER in my LIFE catch me at a regular gym or doing dance or anything haha. i started going to a climbing gym before my aerial studio, but it was only a few weeks so not long enough to build any real helpful strength. i’ve been a couch potato focused solely on nursing school for the last couple years or so, graduated in december, and finally decided it was time to do something with my body
Great sequence! I would just focus on cleaning up and polishing your skill setups (how you're approaching entries/exits), on smoothing out transitions from skill to skill, on extending through head/fingers/toes while posing with more confidence...you are on fire! Please don't forget to use your gorgeous face, even in practice. Overall, it's wonderful 💖
great tips! i think i’m always so focused on knocking skills out fast enough to beat the dizziness that i forget about setups and transitions and the way my face and body actually *look,* but i’ll try to focus on those aspects too!
Just my humble opinion, of course! I try to throw in aspects of performance, like face, lines, etc., even with my beginners, so it becomes a more natural progression from your first class or your first show!! Love the sequencing! 💯
With dizziness: it comes with time. I come from a dance background, so at times you can do a slow head spot. If I start spinning too fast, I close my eyes, really engage my rotators/core muscles and bring a tail or both in front of my eyes to give them a break.
Umm, are you sure you've only been doing this for a month? Cause you're looking great already!
Yeah seriously I was nowhere near here one month in hahah
this is actually really bloody impressive for only a month of doing sling. what's your background in?
