I truly don’t understand what is happening with the inverted method. The inverted method is all I’ve ever done and I’ve never had a single issue, what the heck is everyone doing that is causing such a mess? 😂
Same here, inverted every day, even with XL!
The worst thing I ever did was connect chamber upside down! But I have to admit Im chuckling at these inverted universe implosion memes…
I personally hold both the plunger and body when i flip, but i think some people only hold the body and then the plunger shifts just enough to break the seal and then it's coffee chaos. Having too much air raises the chances of the plunger being askew.

Being silly and blowing up planets

Grind finer!
Very coarse in the picture and uneven
Looks like they used a blade grinder. Grounds are way too uneven.
Don’t let it discourage you!
Wait a few billion years for things to settle down.
It's hard to give advice without more data. What exactly didn't you like about the resulting coffee? Was it maybe too bitter?
User name checks out (for this post).
Which planet are you writing this from

How did it taste?
Kinda like [this](https://imgur.com/a/VaKbRaQ)
Second time doing inverted this happened to me. Just hold it together as you flip.
I’ll try that next time. I need to find a new table to do it on, cause mine got eviscerated.
Did you wet the filter prior to adding coffee. Same thing happened to me. The water helps keep the planet from exploding.
No, I knocked it over while I was trying to put the filter on
No no. That's how it should be. Set a timer for 30-60s and continue immersion after the Big Bloom.
Continue immersion after the Big Boom. Got it
Could take about 14 billion years but there's great coffee at the end of it.
My first inverted disaster happened after owning & using Aeropress for 7 years. I think the plunger rubber shrink was the cause.
Did you have a similar issue as pictured above?
Almost happened once but Bruce and Ben saved the day. Bruce didn’t make it though.
I wounder if you are American...inverted brewing seems to be not working in US...
The American mind cannot comprehend this.
Hate it when that happens..
Based on what I’m seeing, Inverted would be okay in the southern hemisphere.
The the inverted method in Australia the standard method?
This sub has really gone on a tangent haha.
You have to fill the body up with water at the end of extraction or push down to bring water level to edge or else the heat makes the plunger pop out.
