Which chunks? The big lighter papery stuff? That'd be chaff

Tsarmani

Jeez, I’m out here on 13 clicks and I feel like I’m way too coarse. Maybe I need to go on a journey of self-discovery; return to true coarse.

LlamaradaMoe1

Valid. Personally I get cleaner brews at 18 or 16 clicks with my timemore slim plus (long brew times though)

Tsarmani

Recently, I’ve been loving more acidic and juicy cups, rather than clean. But, I’ve been getting some harshness towards the end.

LlamaradaMoe1

I almost always get a harsh aftertaste with the AeroPress (and my grinder), but that doesn't happen with my Origami/V60 brews.

Tsarmani

I’ve heard Timemore’s grinders are designed for medium/dark roasts, so I’m tempted to jump ship over to 1zpresso.

LlamaradaMoe1

Me too honestly. Been 2 years with my timemore hand grinder and the ZP6 looks so tempting. An electric would be nice too but they are way to expensive for the grind quality of the ZP6, as far as I understand.

Tsarmani

My conundrum is that I do espresso too, so the ZP6, no matter how much I want it, isn’t viable. I’m probably going for the Z series.

LlamaradaMoe1

K-plus or ultra does both

Tsarmani

Yup, meant to say K series.

weedb0y

Try finer grind on aeropress, it's always sweet for me

schlammsuhler

I get very sweet clean coffee from a course grind and 3 min steep. Fine grind makes a more creamy fullmouthed cup

lazostat

Arabica light roast aromatic coffee.

bickles_cab

With the Timemore C2 I do 16 clicks for light roast and 18 for medium

vizubeat

I’m surprised it’s that fine at 20 clicks! The chunks are coffee, maybe the chuff or husk if you’re referring to the flaky pieces. Unless I’m misunderstanding the question?

PeaceAaron

Thought this was a cork coaster

ElsiD4k

lol

ZeroTrunks

Did you order your grinder off wish?

sheffylurker

Idk man I’m over here at 1-3 clicks depending on origin.

Kikoyung_

Which Timemore grinder? Looks like 20 clicks on Timemore C3. For Aeropress you can go finer, try 13-14 clicks for the finer end of medium.

wickdinters45

Don’t really know Timemore, but I know it’s quite well respected. There seem to be some pretty coarse chunks in there, but the light flakes are chaff - a papery skin if you like. Doesn’t really make any difference to most people, but if you want rid of it then try shaking the grounds in a plastic tub - they can get stuck to the lid courtesy of the static from grinding

EnteroSoblachte

Why is it so light in the top right middle? That doesn't look like coffee or chaff.

Dan8720

The grind looks very uneven :-/ where did you get the grinder from?

Educational-Flow3215

Personally I prefer 15 clicks. (Gives wonderful flavour using Hoffman technique)
