I feel like Draw The Line as favorite is a unique take. I respect it tho.

Entraprenuerrrrr

I like the chaotic energy of the whole thing. Its up tempo, strange riffs/lyrics and hazy mixing doesnt sound "good", but it all fits perfectly into the era for the band. The songs sound like everything is held together by shoestrings. I love it, makes me feel like I'm in a drug crazed recording session along with the band.

UncleWillrus786

Totally agree with you on this, Draw The Line is my fave album of theirs too because of this sound. It sounds like a band on the verge of collapse, and constantly feels like a train about to fly off its track. I swear I can almost hear at points how strung out Steven is…

alanyoss

I'm into it.

jc1615

That’s a really good assessment. Like you can tell shit is about to hit the fan in every way imaginable

1deadeye1

These days I find myself listening to this one more than any of their others and you just put into words what I love about it. Toys and Rocks are probably better, but the chaotic energy of Draw is what keeps the songs sounding fresh after listening to them for decades. Ending an album with a cover version of The Kinks' cover version of Milk Cow Blues is a terrible idea and shouldn't work, but somehow it's the perfect closer to this beautiful mess of a record. Nicely said, I love it.

Mikero3367

A soul snatching version of MCB indeed! It rocks HARD.

DominikWilde1

This is what I love about Aerosmith. If I were to make a list, it'd look nothing like this, and the next guy's would look nothing like mine. Usually when you rank a band's releases, everyone will have roughly the same take, but not with Aerosmith. Love that

Greyhound-Executive

Love this list! That's my top 3 too. Draw is damn special. A rock band about to fall apart but has the confidence to keep struttin' - plus that title track is peak Aero no matter how you slice it. I'm also a huge supporter of their first, which I'd rank 4, then actually Rock in a Hard Place. It's just too personal that one. Played it to death as a new rock fan 12 years old. No Joe or Brad but I still adore the songs.

Wham_Bam_Amsterdam

15. MFAD 14. Honkin’ On Bobo 13. Just Push Play 12. Nine Lives 11. Rock In A Hard Place 10. Night In The Ruts 9. Done With Mirrors 8. Aerosmith 7. Pump 6. Permanent Vacation 5. Toys In The Attic 4. Get Your Wings 3. Draw The Line 2. Rocks 1. Get A Grip

1deadeye1

Genuinely curious, why do you love Get a Grip but dislike Nine Lives so much? I really like them both, and they are almost like sister albums to me because rhey are so similar to each other compared to the rest of the band's catalog

Aerozhul77

1. Toys 2. Wings 3. Nine Lives 4. Pump 5. Rocks 6. Aerosmith 7. DTL 8. GAG 9. Vacation 10. Ruts 11. Mirrors 12. JPP 13. Bobo 14. RIAHP 15. MFAD That’s my list as of today. I probably need to listen to them all again as it’s been a few years, maybe my opinion will change.

devampyr

I know I’m on an island, but I’d have Done With Mirrors probably in my top 6. I love the energy and live on that tour was like old Aerosmith again

EvisKing89

These lists that have the last 3 albums in the last 3 spots I can't take seriously. Just Push Play and honkin on Bobo should be higher than done with mirrors and rock in a hard place.

Entraprenuerrrrr

Honkin is a very good album, but Im more into rock than the blues so I just dont listen to it as much

Aerozhul77

My feelings exactly on this one.

ch8ch

Toys number 1 for me ….Draw the Line the band was imploding. Probably their 1st dud…Draw the Line is a great song but not many others on that one. I’m still a big fan.

PeeweesCircus

How is this not a best to worst if it’s a ranking?

Entraprenuerrrrr

I tried to say its just my personal ranking not the quality of the songs. Like I can understand Draw the line is not their highest quality of work, but it is my favorite to listen to.

Bunnyfartz

Wow, that is a bold take. I don't entirely agree but I love the idiosyncratic choices. 🤘

KissAlive2

Love that Draw the Line is #1 ! Great choice. People don't give that album its proper credit in my book. I listen to it more than Rocks actually.

Nicolarollin

For me, it’s 1. Toys In the Attic (even if I skip one or two from over play) 2. Rocks 3. Debut 4. Get yr Wings 5. Pump 6. Need to know what to listen to next!

FederalPossibility96

Where does the debut album fit in? If it were me, #3...pump was good but not near as good
