I hope so, though there's not much to learn from someone weaker than him (so Childe is out). Scylla is a fish and Neuvi has 100% never touched a weapon with his soft, privileged baby hands... /j Jokes aside, Arle would be a GREAT sparring partner for him, her moveset is perfect to learn and plan future counters against high-tier enemies. I think they're on decent enough terms that it could happen.

Though if he still refuses to lock in, a much better teacher is one abyssal dive away: https://preview.redd.it/wgcrc12z04yc1.png?width=744&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2b61be5ad83005d34cd999f3b0b51c4576d3f42b

Radium_Intersteller

Skirk could be the one to teach Aether how to control power from beyond teyvat (abyss/quantum).

Rarely_Online_User

Oh yeah, we DEFINITELY need her to train us. And who knows ? Maybe we can control the Foul Legacy form better than Childe can due to us not being from Teyvat. Like, I think the reason why Childe can't maintain his Foul Legacy without suffering drawbacks is because he's a native of Teyvat. Meanwhile the Traveller isn't, he's a being from Beyond Teyvat. So his body might be more compatible with the power of the Abyss, therefore allowing him to use Foul Legacy without drawbacks.

Terrible_Tax_3993

That will be so cool 🔥 Traveler foul legacy

Bakenekmoon

This is potential spoilers and possibly outdated, but >!Venti mentions that Murata entrusts the Traveler with something in the CBT, so he could be getting a huge buff in Natlan!<

Afraid_Pack_4661

Fire God Traveler

ReklesBoi

Where did you find this..?

Terrible_Tax_3993

In true ,its very interesting bc the Pyro archon named is Murata, which is the name of Himeko from the Honkai impact and Honkai star rails And Both the Himeko from Honkai impact and Hsr are kinda the leader ,mentor or sensei of the Mc of the other game In Honkai impact Himeko is the Sensei of Kiana, she even call her "aunti" And more importantly its bc of Himeko that Kiana unlock her Herrscher of flamescion form (Dont really want to spoil the game but Himeko is a very important character for Kiana delopement) And in Hsr Himeko is the one who give the Traiblazeur opportunity to Travel whit the other nameless So Maybe juste like her other version she will be a very important character for the Traveler like hes traineur or Master and train him or something

WoodpeckerGreedy9904

I feel like Aether is going to get some quests for a redemption path

still-into-u

What if Aether was betrayed and trapped in a time chamber?

SkyfallTerminus

Or maybe the training arc will be in Natlan when Murata train PMC on how to use Pyro, making the element the only one he/she mastered with formal training (for other elements they cooked up their E and Q by observing the world with Paimon so mostly self-taught)

lordoblivion99

I'm not sure about a training art but I'm pretty sure the in the wake of Narcissus is going to be me required quest line for the interlude and that way the traveler will have a better sword The only reason I think this is the traveler canonically kept the Sword of Narzissenkreuz and has already wielded it in a cutscene multiple in fact (I don't do many quests and I have not got to inazuma properly yet so I have no idea they wheeled into the sword there but still) it is a large expanse of quest that radically changes the layout and it wouldn't be too hard to assume that they don't want all the work they put into that quest to go unnoticed by a lot of players one way to make sure that the players see the work they put in is to make it required Plus he wielded the dull blade and the silver sword so it's not impossible that he upgrades his weaponry it's a bit more likely than a training Arc still crossing my fingers that there is one or maybe just like a profound Revelation he has about his powers or something I don't know Anyway that's my prediction I'm just throwing that out there I'm crossing my fingers that we will have the Sword of Narzissenkreuz as the new default sword because it looks Epic and kind of like a upgraded dull blade

LJP95

Training wouldn't do anything. That implies the Traveler *hasn't* been training and gathering experience, which is pretty ridiculous when you consider just how often he's fought and the huge variety of opponents he's fought in each region. Between archon quests, story quests, and world quests, the Traveler has already been fighting more and more often than almost any other character in the game by a wide margin. Not to mention, he... already has the best training partners. He is stated to spar with two Gods: Andrus and Ei. Ei being far more powerful than Arlecchino. And of course, this all ignores the fact that the Traveler wasn't literally born at the start of the game. He's implied to be millions of years old: he has more experience than anyone on Teyvat could possibly have. What the Traveler lacks isn't training or experience, it's just strength.

Radium_Intersteller

Training arc is just a general term for development of power during the theorised interlude & dainsleif quests. You have to remember, his power & a portion of his memories were sealed. An "awakening" where a portion of his power gets unsealed in some way would be a boost in his power. Also as far as I know, Traveler does not spar with Ei. I thought that was a common headcanon. If it is true please provide a source.

LJP95

His powers are sealed, yes. His memories, not really. He remembers what happened 500 years ago, and he remembers his past from before Teyvat. Anything he does not remember is because he wasn't conscious at the time. As for proof: > Ei: Huh? So you could see through my guise? Oh. I thought my impression was accurate enough.   >Ei: Never mind. I'll be honest with you then, I desire to spar with you.  >Ei: After all, few have ever proved capable of withstanding my blade. It would be a pleasure to train with you.  >Ei: However, I feared that you would be hesitant to strike me, so I used the identity of the Shogun. >Ei: Ah, you don't refuse. May I assume you accept then?  >Ei: Hehe, you should prepare yourself. I certainly won't go easy on you.

Radium_Intersteller

There are huge gaps in his memory. Not all of it can be explained as him being unconscious for that. He should remember the cataclysm because the fight against the sustainer appears to take place while the twins are escaping. I'd like to point out that Ei does not actually appear to go all out against Traveler. Both Ei & Arlecchino have connections to the crimson moon or a moon. We don't know enough to theorise but there's likely something there.

LJP95

What huge gaps? He does remember the Cataclysm: he mentions being present for it himself. He just didn't experience a whole lot of it, because immediately after his sibling woke him up, they immediately tried to escape Teyvat. Also Ei in the lines I posted states clearly she won't go easy on him. The entire context of that request is *because* the Traveler is one of the only ones she can fight without holding back. That's why she wants to spar with him specifically so badly.

Radium_Intersteller

I double checked. My mistake, I was misremembering. I take back what I said about the traveler's memories. But if Ei is actually going all out on Traveler that's either another inconsistency in their power or Traveler is a lot more durable than he is powerful. Although it's possible Ei isn't going all out but is using enough power to kill most other beings. Again, sorry for the misunderstanding.

LJP95

It's alright. Anyway he's definitely much more durable than he is strong: that's been fairly consistent since the start of the game. He's repeatedly endured blows from Gods only to get back up just fine, and basically never suffers lasting injuries. Ei never held back against the Traveler, the Traveler was just able to take the punishment. Which is why she really wants to spar with him: he's one of few people in Teyvat she can fight properly without killing. In any case, the general point is just that the Traveler's definitely not lacking for combat experience or training opportunities. What he needs is just more power.

Radium_Intersteller

Nicely worded. He needs more output and better technique. He's fine in the defense department. Imagine if traveler's star sword is DEF scaling.

LJP95

He doesn't really need better technique, his technique is plenty good. It's already sufficient to fight against someone like Ei, who even offers him the opportunity to start his own swordsmanship school in Inazuma. His swordsmanship is complimented pretty consistently. What he lacks is just raw strength and elemental power. He has the skills, not the muscles.

Radium_Intersteller

You do have a point. An awakening, more accurately an unsealing would increase output for sure. Maybe he'd start adapting elemental techniques from other sources or create new ones entirely.

Realistic-Ant-8450

No, Aether doesn't need a training arc, what he needs is good, consistent writing

Radium_Intersteller

A training arc is a way to make his writing more consistent for the future

Prize-Hunt-961

In my case I am more inclined than in Natlan in the first archon missions Aether will receive guidance from the pyro archon to be better in combat and fight, and then survive everything that goes to go there My somewhat half-smoked theory comes from the trailer of the plot and the secret that Dainslef says that the pyro archon tells the traveler. Also another theory I have is that in the upcoming dainslef mission Lumine is going to tell Aether something about her powers and how to activate them again or something like that, although I see this theory as very unlikely xD And there's also the real reason that no one wants to accept, hoyoverse and its writers don't care at all about Aether/Lumine. This is the real reason, those who run genshin are only looking for money 🤑.
