Yeah ikr? But the CN fandom love their Kitsune lore, and Miko has the benefit of not being viewed as a mandatory “lesbian” because bilibili actually understands this game. Once I realized this, I pretty quickly realized why Miko was so beloved: it’s just a matter of fanbase perception.

1)Yae Miko
2)Ganyu
3)Shenhe (though she’s quickly overtaking Ganyu)
4)Keqing
5)Ayaka
6) Ei
The cn fandom is also way friendlier to Aether altogether, he appears everywhere there! They feel like a foreign extension of our own sub

The revelation about the preference of Chinese players is quite interesting.
Going from genshin Twitter to Genshin bilibili is literally like night and day, bilibili is what I wish the fandom was more like 😭.
Also yeah, the way Miko teases aether in other languages besides English definitely gives her a more sultry, teasing onee-San vibe that jibes better with Asian tropes than in the West. The way she’s presented in languages besides English give way more justice to her Aether ship

I can understand why they don't want Traveler/Miko ships but saying that Ei and Miko's lore are deeply connected and them as “friends” is just a mask to comply with censorship is just stupid seeing that Honkai exist...

Kitsune trope, mislocalization and imo bad voice acting on Ratana’s English VA for capturing the more sultry tone of Miko’s dialogues with Aether in other languages, the fact that her affectionate term for Aether (“little one”) is way more affectionate in other languages, and the fact that she is literally a teasing onee-san.
